#Lippanwork or #Mudwork is a Indian art farm from Gujrat. Basically this work is done inside huts in Kutch Gujrat.

artwithdEva thank you dear. Yes you can, but the traditional way is first stick mirrors and then colour so the outer side of mirror is covered with colour and it’s look more beautiful

Any clay will shrink, does shiplkar clay not shrink or crack after drying.
Does plaster of Paris also shrink and crack after drying pls reply
yes shilpkar clay does not shrink and crack after drying
My clay does shrink n break. I used Mont Marte air hardening clay

Is it required to apply texture paint/gesso/pop on the board before starting the drawing? I know you have not applied but some people are suggesting. What's the benefit of applying or not applying?
no it not , it depends on the base you using. It gives smooth surface and the color is not absorb much. it enhance and modify the absorbency level while enhancing the quality of the painting surface.
How do we protect this art
Can I use air dry clay??
yes, you can
only remember use clay which not shrink
Can i use marble powder for lippan art instead f clay?

Hi. My clay shrinks and breaks during the drying process. I just leave it open in a room. Please help. Clay used Mont Marte air hardening clay
Use shilpkar / mouldit clay this will not shrink and crack after drying
Can we use wall putty instead of clay
Nisha Kumari I never used wall putty, so I can’t say about it but you can use any clay
Nisha kumari you can use plaster of paris + water + fevicol dough.
