- Hello Everyone,
Today's video is about " Diy Lippan art / work on canvas or mdf board or wooden pannel."
#lippanwork or #mudwork is a indian art form from Gujarat. This work is done inside huts in Kutch Gujarat.
Material Required:-
1. mirror(round,diamond,square)
2. Fevicryl White Acrylic color
3. Glue/Fevicol
4. cardboard
FOR CONE:-
HALF cup of P.O.P (Plaster of Paris) , add ONE spoon glue/fevicol mix with TWO spoon of Water.

use a plastic sheet having dimensions 6*8
with for the cone -
take p.o.p and glue in a 1:1 ratio. (eg : 3 spoons of p.o.p and 3 spoons of PVA glue)
and add not more than 1-2 spoon of water
it actually works !!!

Excellent... thanks for sharing...but pop gets dried fast ....then how we use this mixer for lippon art dear....
Use proper amount of fevicol/glue and if P.O.P dry fast then add little amount of water.
P.O.P dries fast so we have to make little liquid P.O.P because when we transfer in cone it becomes little hard...try to add 3-4 spoon of water and one spoon of glue in half cup of P.O.P.
You have to work fast with P.O.P. I hope this will go well.😊😊

Being a native of this Art would like to draw your attention that this Art format is known as Mud Art (Mud Mirror Work) not Lippan.
Mud Work & Lippan both done by same material but both are having different style/strokes.
Lippan is a layering process with cow dung and clay on the walls/floor.
While Mud Work is like a relif work a embossing and shaping clay on wall or wood.
Mud Work is practiced by different communities of Kutch, Gujarat. They all have their own strokes/designs.
Earlier this was also known as Chittarkaam (चितरकाम) by locals.
I am practicing this art professionally since past 20 years.
Young netizens wrongly popularized this as Lippan.
It is pitiful to see native artists also calls this form of Art as Lippan.

Yes, just grind them like fine powder then do the same process. It works.

Plz ek baat batayiye, yeh cone 5-10 min main hi hard ho jaati hai kya? I have failed twice and all i am left with is 2 hardened pop cones 😭😭😭

Just Do It - D.I.Y thank u for replying, firr hum POP se banayein hi kyun? I mean shouldn’t we just use marble or other powder that would not rush us? Mujhe poori raat neend bhi achey se nahi aayi yeh soch kar ki main ab kya use karu becoz jab POP mila tou mujhe laga duniya mill gayi mujhe tou🤦🏽♀️
For Lippan art either you use p.o.p for instant and proper design or you can use shilpkar clay.....other powder don't works. Try to play with p.o.p and make liquid like Mehandi consistency or little liquid consistency. It's definitely works.😊😊

How to make cone mixture? And proportion?
FOR Mixture:-

Mam pop powder se try Kiya,lekin wo dry ho gaya to cone me se niklta hi nahi,other options of pop
U can use baby powder instead of POP and also you can work with shilpkar clay which is available in stationary.
To work with POP you have to make that consistency not too thick or not too liquidity like water. Have to make just like mehandi. And work fast with POP.

Yes, you can use baby powder/talcum powder instead of Plaster of Paris.
Add color (as per your choice) when you are making mixture it will be easy for you.

Is this waterproof
Yes POP is a water proof. But no guarantee for color. To protect color for long time buy SEALER SPRAY(easily available in stationery) not only for this you can use in any craft to seal color or paint.
MDF board size ?
Size is upto you.....you can buy any canvas MDF board which is easily available in stationary.
What is in the cone
A mixture of P.O.P (Plaster of Paris) + water + Fevicol.
Traditionally what kind of mixer or clay used for lippon art dear....
"Shilpkar clay" perfect for Lippan Art which is available in market.
Traditional clay u will not get anywhere it's a secret .

Not a neat work ur mixture is very liquid and cone tip is narrow
This is my 1st attempt. If you feel mixture liquid you can add extra POP and cone tip is upto to you if you need thick design cut accordingly. I hope that will work perfectly. Thankyou ❤️
