Kramer got his own show on tv, it bombed. George got his own TV show, it also bombed.
Elaine got 2 hit tv shows with plenty of more Emmy wins.
      Seinfeld got Comedians in Cars
Larry David got a good number of Curb your Enthusiasm(before it eventually jumped the shark) seasons.
If Jason Alexander was the best actor why hasn't he had any notable success post Seinfeld?
I think it was a group effort, casting, writing, Comedians ect.....

There were many great episodes in which different situations were playing out for the main characters and then tied together. Kramer's invention of the cologne he pitched to Calvin Klein was another hilarious one, especially when Kramer parades in front of Klein and his two assistants in his white briefs and then keels over while trying to lean against a wall.

By the way, Jerry says people hated the Seinfeld finale, but I didn't... I thought it was great! And the Curb finale was also fantastic, the best two comedic shows of my lifetime!

According to Jason Alexander, there is a slightly different version of events. Jason says that the episode taped in front of the studio audience and that the (location) scene on the beach was played to a tepid response. As scripted for shoot day, this was the end of the episode; as this played out, Jerry & Larry saw that this would not work as a conclusion. Jason was approached, asked how long he needed to prep for, "a page" of monologue, and he replied, "Ten minutes." Additionally, Jason related that this came at the end of a very long night of taping: their shoot schedule could push quite late as they collectively worked to solve the puzzle at hand.

It was sheer brilliance to bring those four characters to account for their behavior and resurrect so many of those great “side-characters” throughout the years for their ‘trial’. THAT WAS GOLD TOO, Jerry! Both finales were nothing short of superb! You’ve accomplished a major goal here: a “show about nothing” IS, indeed timeless, so the laughs never wear out. When Jerry came in to save the day in the last episode of Curb…… it was the most beautiful moment in the whole show!!!
Because they almost never do just totally happy endings on Curb but to have the last episode end like that was just perfect.

A completely different vibe on the "Seinfeld" show, but that scene with George's speech is right up there with classic "The Honeymooners", Sid Caesar and "I love Lucy" top moments!

Absolutely. When the judge says "I do not know how or under what circumstances the four of you found each other", which is the brilliance of Seinfeld. Four people with their own unique quirks, all thinking they're better than each other, but at the same time all sharing some really dark subjective traits that bring connections in many situations. And then, all getting their just-deserts.

Jason Alexander's version of the Marine Biologist episode is a bit different. He said that George's monologue at the diner wasn't written until the night of the taping, after the pre-taped segment of George walking into the ocean didn't get the reaction from the studio audience that Jerry and Larry were hoping for. Jerry's saying it was written the night before. Maybe they had it in their back pocket in case the pre-taped segment didn't work out.

And that is why hiring a theatre actor like Jason Alexander pays dividends in last-minute moments like this. Whenever Jason is in a stage show, he needs to memorize an ENTIRE PLAY is less than a month... so getting a page a few hours before shooting is no big deal. He's been handed far more difficult assignments. The bigger challenge (I think) is how Jerry and Julia didn't laugh and break character... because I'm absolutely certain they had no time to rehearse the scene before shooting.

@@SoFloCo-ne4rk No, that wasn't the point of the story. They want it done properly on the first take because that's the best laughs from the crowd. They've had to do multiple takes all the time because Julia would laugh at Jerry Stiller, so why would that scene be any different? It's entirely possible they filmed more than one take and used parts from all of them to complete the scene.
