Especially funny moment when he asks this in The Safe House episode.

In every episode of Curb, Larry can argue with anyone he wants, and then, change the subject by saying, “Let me ask you something.” This will be my new move in life.
We’re in trouble, without him we’ll lose all respect for wood!
Seth gets his wish by doing 10 minutes of Curb Your Enthusiasm with Larry by accident.

It very well could have been planned or by accident but it has to feel satisfying to think everything we see is fake / staged.

He's not wrong, my dad asked me to play bongos in his band at a rugby match half time and I said I couldn't. He said no one will notice and they didn't. Faked the whole thing.
Seth blowing Larry's mind by explaining how he's "the stretcher" was so perfect that it's hard to believe that wasn't scripted. Larry's reaction (confusion > understanding > humility) was so genuine, though, it had to be real.
I had the opposite feeling, I am sure it was scripted, but still a great bit :)

I had never seen Seth being this very comfortable and easy with a guest. He was even baiting him, knowing what everyday absurdities David will spill.
Love Seth. His interviews with his old BFF Andy Samberg are so damn funny. Actually, I love all his interviews with old SNL friends.
Before Seth as a talk show host , there is Seth the master comedy writer ...and once paired with Larry David, you get to see a clash of two greats . Art and creativity in pure form .
100% And Seth has a super quick mind so it's perfect repartee.

You do realize that this isn't a "cold call" interview. They discuss beforehand what items will be in the interview.
Reminded me of some Letterman's interviews, set 'em up and let the guest bring it home.

I think you are the only interviewer knows how to interview Larry. In other interview he always seems uncomfortable and regretful that he came to the show. Not yours Seth. Well done.

I LOVE that this happened in this interview with these 2 stories/situations back to back that ended up relating to each other in that way. Hilarious! And Larry really didn't see it before this, lol. You can tell it wasn't a pre-planned bit. 👏🤣

This was fun to watch. I feel like they did this interview similar to how they do episodes of Curb. Like how Curb isnt really "scripted", they just give kind of an idea of a certain situation or topic and the actors improv the lines

I have never laughed so hard for a guest segment on that show, watched it as it aired last night. The "regards" discussion had me howling! 😂😂😂
Sneakily the best part because it's the only one that didn't seem pre-prepared, or if it was they managed to do it really well like he just came up with it off the cuff
@@empireoflightz well, if you're up on your Seinfeld knowledge, the "regards" deal was in fact in an episode where George phoned and asked out a woman from his childhood because someone told him she said "hello" when she only said " give him my regards" so it likely was prepared too but it's definitely how Larry truly feels about it which is the funniest part
I knew from the moment Seth said send her my regards I knew Larry was going to clown him like no I'm not doing that.
Every part of this long interview was hilarious, and that ending!

the comedy chemistry is off the charts here. id watch an hour long hbo special of these two just joking around.
These two guys talk together like water flowing over rocks, and it's a joy to listen to them intelligently debating over a bunch of pointless, stupid sh**. I think Seth naturally gets Larry more than a lot of other interviewers do. Like you'd swear it was pre-scripted but Seth is just a guy who isn't taken aback by anything, and Larry never stops providing disdain for dumb sh**.
This was a whole episode of curb in a few minutes. This guy is a comedy & writing genius
The best part is that Seth was in more sketches than anyone would ever guess.
Not the memorable ones, clearly!
This has my vote for best segment ever. Right up there with Colin's interview during quarantine ending with him yelling "no they are going to kill me!"
This feels like an iconic interview. Seth will forever have my admiration for how he played mental chess with Larry. You could tell Larry was ready to play the fiddle, but Seth had the violin at the ready. Bravo 👏

The more I watch these, the more I realize how great of a talk show host Seth Meyers is.
This is by far the greatest interview of Sethie's career. He had his own Larry David Curb moment. I'd sell my kids for this kind of berratement.
Larry’s laugh is INCREDIBLE! Look at outtakes from his SNL. They literally couldn’t get through rehearsals. 😂😂😂
Curb Your Enthusiasm is an authentic American original. Not a copy of Brit humour or a result of incoming cultures (nothing wrong with either of them BTW), but genuinely USA through and through.
Thats funny because most of the songs on the show, including the theme song, are Italian

Seth had a cameo in "Center to the Journey of the Earth." If Larry had seen that he could have gone all in on Seth's acting ability.
And he was a pivotal character in Nick & Norah’s Infinite Playlist.
I would have loved to have seen Seth be written as super-mean and entitled. The opposite of his public persona. I know many actors have so much fun with that.

This video made me realize that Seth is really good at comedy.
He’s quick on his feet, like when a joke bombs or something goes wrong he gets a bigger laugh out of that, add in when he’s talking to another comedian he can bounce off and it’s usually very good. Seth is my go to late night guy for that, for my money he’s the funniest. By some margin.

@@LapsedPacifist79 Me too, Dave Letterman used to make bad material hilarious by saying how bad it sucked. Seth also does this super well, even covering his face after telling a mega-bomb joke. I've watched some old Johnny Carson clips where he would also do this, and Ed McMahon also mocking how bad his jokes were. Seth is more himself and less constrained since Covid, and I feel exactly the same way. These two were great together. I haven't seen other hosts play off Larry the same way or really get him like this.
