Credit to Antonio, who remained respectfully silent, not drawing attention to himself once while Ricky held forth!

Totally agree. that reminds me of an interview with Pat Phoenix & Jim Davidson had gone before & PP was telling a story of her thoughts on suicide & he interrupted with a joke & completely broke the rhythm of her story. She was gracious & he remained silent after that.

He probably had no idea what was being said, both Parkinson and Gervais have quite strong accents and when this interview took place, he probably hadn't been working in English all that long.

I reckon he understood half of what they were bantering on. I would’ve been lost as well if I was on that stage in Spain! Although credit is due to Antonio for his six years living in the UK and working in the United States making some fine Works of art. One of the best actors to come out of Spain definitely

Parkinson is a master interviewer , Ricky is a no nonsense person, for whom , acting / writing and stand up , has provided him a voice .
He has no time for pretence , or zelebrity . And Antonio is a class act , who is happy to soak up the atmosphere, no matter where he is .
I'm so glad I got to witness the Parkinson interviews when I was young enough to question them , but wise enough to realize just how amazing they truly were .
My parents always watched the interviews he did , and i am glad I was allowed to stay up to see them .
A list celebrity legends such as James steward , Brando and the like . The sublime Peter Ustinov. Peter sellers . Boy I miss those days .
