Perfect Your Running Form: The A and B Skip Drills

- Running is a simple yet complex sport. To improve your running form and become a more efficient runner, you need to practice drills that will help you develop better mechanics. One drill that can help you do that is the A and B skip drill.
Before starting the drill, make sure to warm up and do some light stretching. Once you're ready, practice the A and B skip drills over 30-40 meters. The A skip drill is when you lift your knees high and kick your feet out in front of you. The B skip drill is when you lift your knees high, kick your feet out in front of you, and then kick your feet back behind you.
Practicing these drills will help you improve your running form, increase your foot turnover, and make you a more efficient runner. 37 and started running last month as I like the idea of 5k park runs. I have constant calf pain!! And got some hamstring pain last run. I think I'll strengthen and get more flexibility in calves and some xtraining. And do these type drills instead of running for a few weeks. Then when Saturday Park run comes do 5 minutes run one minute walk. Thank u.

you should be training running backs... and receivers .... these exercises can't help but expand a runner's sprinter's repertoire ... nice slow teaching on video... thanks... I do think for pure sprinter speed stadium stairs might be the king? what do you think?
Stairs and gravity are the king. It is good to get the basic on the flat, but stairs are great for everything.
