    The C-37s are easy to identity from a distance. I have never visited Britain and I only see Union Pacific here in Utah, USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸👍

    Now, those are PROPER locos..... Nostalgia from the time when the growl of these at Cambridge meant I was going home! (So much better than the character-less hissing things that whistle by near the bottom of my garden now.....)

    Now that's what real diesel locomotives look and sound like!

      Yup. They have *Soot,* which means (to me) that they’re sho’nuff *trains.*

    Also, these have *soot/clag* - which connects to the past, just like the “old steamy trains.”
    One of these latter is shown at about 4:30 or so, and it shows some *soot,* too.

    Great collection, too many for me to pick a favourite. But the WCR leaving Crewe that was impressive.
    Got to be a 97 for me though . 😁👍👍😎😎

    Why was the Braunton getting pulled with D6187 looks like she was moving along under her own steam ?

    • @trainsplanes
      @trainsplanes  Год назад

      Hi JJ, Braunton was indeed in light steam that day. It was a very hot day during the peak summer temps when there was a temporary steam ban in place due to fire risk.

    How is that as soon as a diesel fires up to move off we can guarantee some long-winded and repetitive announcer will sound off with completely unhelpful and irrelevant information?
