I haven't decided whether to needle felt one, I'm more of a wet felter, but I love the colors! And I might do something that is needle felting lavender flowers on top of a wet felted project.
Thank you for the technique on shaping the lavender flower by folding the fiber back over the needle!
Such a sweet valentine gift❣️
I love this, we need calming lavender & happy faces.
It is great that you can simply crush the lavender to revive the scent. Thank you for such a great Wooly Wednesday.
What a great idea will make nice gifts to friends and as hostess gifts. Thank you Marie and Fairies
for all your great ideas. I missed the show on Wednesday, so glad I could watch it today.
That was a great first project for the beginning of 2 0 2 1. We all need a little calm. Gave me some great ideas for gifts for my special friends. ❤❤❤

I really really love this project and can’t wait to make some. My daughters are going to love these. If you store one under your pillow you can give it a sniff before drifting off to sleep.
Awesome tutorial. Love the humor added in. I am no a sewer by machine, but do well by hand. I also love to felt. Thanks so much.

“Stay calm and felt on” - 💕
I couldn’t watch live in the end but have just caught up- LOVE the lavender bags idea- this just might persuade me to get my sewing machine out of the cupboard where it’s been buried for months!! Thank you 💕
What a lovely WW! Makes me feel like Spring is in the air. Thank-you!
Loved today’s project so hoped to participate live session but too many errands today! So much fun and finished it already 💕
Love this! I like the idea of a combo of needle felting this and embroidery! I am making it! So many ideas of various florals come to mind with this technique. Also love the looks of that chunky yarn behind you! 😉
Love how you creased the fabric over the card stock so you knew where to draw the design. Great tip!
Sweet! Can't wait to make a few!
Such a lovely gift for someone who has almost everything. I'm going to make some for friends.
Hello from Spokane, Washington!
Can't wait to make these!
This is so lovely. It takes me back to my childhood when my nannan used these lavender bags in all of her clothes drawers and wardrobes.
thank you, needed a new project!!!
I also love the twisting the fiber tip! Thank you!
Sweet. I grow tons of lavender.
Happy New Year!! It is very beautiful and lovely. I like it very much .. I will definitely do it !!
Love how you mix the 2 colors together for the leaves! Super cute idea!
I love lavender
Hello from Topsham Maine. Couldn't watch yesterday as I was following the awful news in Washington. I am so sad about that but happy we are back to classes.
I spent the whole day watching the domestic terrorism in the Capital. Unbelievable. Even though I live in Canada, yesterdays events concerned us all.
Thank you they are just lovely . Leonie
Ah I love me some lavender 💜 and embroidery too!! Lavender sachets are always so great!
I tried to stay up until wooly Wednesday (it starts at 5am for me) but at 4.30am, I give up... haha but yeah 🥰 Have a great show guys!!! Looks like it'll be super fun xxx
Made one just now. Used my linen. Waiting now for the order I placed to come in so that I can complete the project. Also need to get linen thread. Will be hand sewing. I will post picture when I finish it. Thank you for this inspiration.
I would like to wish you all a happy new year, looking forward to learning a lot of new things 🥳😘
Sorry I missed the live show :( I love your videos.
Beautiful colors
I want to make a bag to use a pincushion. I think the lavender scent would be awesome while sewing.
I love this I am going to make some ..... love how you show how to make the flower cause some times I think to much and the cutting is a great idea thank you so much
You could make pretty little 3D pictures also. What did you use for the backing? Sounds like a tension issue with your sewing machine. Different fabrics need different tension. Test first with the fabric you are going to sew. Stitches should meet be in the center, not on the top or bottom. So glad to have you all back! Stay safe
The machine has automatic tension...Marie could not SEE and did not put the thread through the needle ... hee hee :) The backing was linen also.
Hi from Oklahoma! Hope y’all had a great Christmas & a Happy New Year! So glad to see y’all! I would love to try these!
Love lavender
I would love to see a class on achieving depth and shadowing
I have so much to say about this Wooly Wednesday! I love purple! I love lavender! I love everything about this show! I have so much lavender from Sequim, WA! I go there a couple of times a year now and they have a lavender festival in July every year! So much fun! I am no good at drawing so I will try using the iron on pen and transferring an image! My take away was how to fix the stem if it is not showing enough and using th nylon to put the lavender buds in to hold them better! Thank yo so very much! I am going to make lots of these!!
Hello from southeast Georgia
I’m going to try and felt doll eyes through jersey and I’ll see how the fabric accepts. Hopefully it won’t rip...
Thank you for this lovely idea, I can't wait to try this! 🥰 I have a question though: can the lavender damage the needle felted image through the linen?
Hi Guinevere, the lavender will not hurt the image :)
So Marie, I love these. Thankfully I have the linen and all the supplies. I heard you say these could be sold. How would you price these? Or actually any item you make
Hi Samantha, great question....maybe we should survey a few people here in the comments. If I were shopping for a gift and I came across these, I would pay $10 - $25 depending on the size and quality.
Have you ever tried rolling some lavender into the core wool of a 3D needle felt piece? I’ve been considering trying but not sure how effective the scent would be once it’s all finished!
We have not tried this! :)
Question, is there a way to secure the felt, as is so easy to be pulled out?
Can you do this on a dish towel and be able to wash it ?
A dish towel would get a lot of work, and the design is going to get roughed up. We suggest less utility items like a table runner. See our Pumpkin Spice table linens video for items needle felted onto linen and then washed in the washing machine: ruclips.net/video/bl_75Nydoig/видео.html
Does anyone know what happen to living felt shows. Can not get them any more on RUclips?
Really miss them.
Question: what kind of thread ( brand ) is yours .... i seem to be unable to find linen thread that is not waxed.
We used Amann Mettler, it is actually 100% polyester, just looks like linen. Available at quilting shops :)
@@LivingFelt thank you 🙏
Hi there So glad that I found you
