Guess its time for a road trip. MaryMaxim is just up the road about 50 mins. Nice drive, just me and my hubby. After spending a long time shopping we can cruise down the shoreline to see the 1,000 foot freighters making their way up and down the Great Lakes . And then we'll pick a scenic spot for dinner. Thanks for letting me know about them selling yarn--never knew. YAHOO

I used to live in Ontario, and once a month, I think the first Tuesday of the month it was seniors day, 20% off plus you got a card that was stamped and it was for free yarn at the end of having the card stamped....I LOVED IT THERE...AND MISS IT IMMENSELY!!! In Aug. they had a HUGE tent sale. Well now I’m tearing up😢 because I do miss it so much. It was in Paris Ontario, lovely drive. I got to hang out with my Mom all day....I bought a lot of “kits” and back then I only knitted...now I only crochet. Love their yarns and I’m going to their site right now. Back in the day I made a lot of Afghan, king size blankets and would have to buy 30-40 balls of yarn. I get tickled when I see you get so excited. I thought I was the only one that did. Yes....I've tried Mary Maxim yarns. They do take a minute to ship out but once shipped it delivers fast. The pricing is good, absolutely. They even have excellent kits too. I haven't tried those XXL balls yet but I'm going to give those puppies a go. I have two afghans that I want to make and I definitely wouldn't run out of yarn with those.

WOW!!! I never realized that Mary Maxim sold yarn. Thank you SO much for doing this review! It's nice to hear someone's opinion with the experience that you have crocheting and knowing that you bought the yarn yourself - so there's no bias to make it sound better than it really is. I also like how you compared it to the other name brand yarns so that we can get a feel for it without actually being able to "feel" it. (LOL!) I am in LOVE with that Prism and the Starlette Sparkle! I love all your quirky things you do like smelling the yarn. I love walking into yarn isles and watch what every one does to the yarn such as feel it, rub it against their skin, SMELL IT. Lol I have a co-worker who doesn't crochet but when I get new yarn I take it to workand show her and she does exactly of what fiber artists does with new yarns.

Mary Maxim has great patterns too. My mom (she’s primarily a knitter) has made Christmas stockings for everyone in our family, all Mary Maxim patterns and they are fantastic. We always get compliments on them.

Hello Crystal! I love how much fun you had with the xxl skeins! It seems like mary maxim is a good order and good quality. Love that blue prism yarn. I think the Marvelous yarn 🧶 looked like the Lion Brand Hometown yarn. I could be wrong but that is what it reminded me of on camera 🎥! Love your videos keep up the great work! 💕💞💗💓💖
