I get emails from lovecrochet but haven't been able to buy anything yet. They have a crochet magazine they try to get me to buy, and the website has a bunch of downloadable free patterns. I just love that tangerine color you got, and the khacki and green too! One day maybe I can get some, lol.... After I get my cancer treatments paid off, and now my husband with his esophageal cancer, yarn is on the back burner. But I LOVE looking! 👍👍♥️👍👍

We use lots of Stylecraft & Paintbox in the UK, but I don’t use their cotton. The Stylecraft Special DK is great for blankets, and counts less than £2 for 100g. The Paintbox Aran/worsted is just gorgeous to work with, I love it. It’s price is comparable to Stylecraft. The organza bags are brilliant for washing delicates in. Thanks for the review, Crystal.
I thoroughly enjoyed your video. No creep factor at all. When I pick up yarn, I also "sense" it: using as many of the five senses as appropriate. Its cool that someone out there understands sensing the yarns. Thanks for the edumacation. Lol!!

I buy from their sister company LoveKnitting. At the time I didn't realise there was a LoveCrochet site lol. The Paintbox yarn is just too delicious for words and I've used it sooooo many times. Have only ever used the 100% acrylic and there are loads of colours to choose from. In the UK we get a better deal on shipping, spend £25 and get it free. Plymouth yarns is a REALLY expensive brand, so don't blame you saying you will only buy if on sale. This video was great, love seeing the joy and excitement on your face and even the disappointment when something (the cotton) didn't quite measure up. Your face is an open book Crystal and it's refreshing to see. Can't wait for the next yarn haul video x x x
I love the paintbox acrylic. It's a soft yarn with good stitch definition too. And it's not overly expensive either. They also put color combos together for you so you can purchase like that too.
Hiya Crystal, a big thank you for your love crochet review. I'm in the UK and it's the site I use. The discount is for new customers, but they do always put a discount voucher in with the order though as you say it's only valid for a short time. It's great to hear you equating the yarns to bulky or 4 weight because we don't get that so much in the UK, so a lot of times when I can't get the same yarn as you it poses a slight problem choosing a suitable alternative. I have used the paintbox 100% acrylic and would advise you make a swatch to wash a few times. The pullover I made looks a mess because of the Pilling, so I've never used it again. Wouldn't want you spending considerable time on a garment that looked ruined in 5 washes, and yes I did use the wool cycle and never the dryer. Can't wait to see you using the other yarns though. Happy crocheting 😃😃

I love the Harmon y colors. Seeing you smell the yarn reminds me of my grandson. We would hide his medicine in his food. Couldn't trick him so he smelled everything. At 18 we still find him smelling things even though not food. My bestie I find that we do now too. LOL 😆 I love this video no matter how old. Not used to seeing you without hat. Love ya. Just keep up what you do. 😇

Style craft and paint box DK acrylic are my go to yarns for so many different things, blankets, baby clothes, amigurumi and the stylecraft batik swirl cake is fabulous for shawls. Thanks for showing us all these yarns some of which I haven’t noticed when shopping on the lovecrochet site xxx

I really appreciate the way you compare the yarns to other brands that are more familiar. It's extremely helpful in developing an understanding of different yarns and how they relate to each other. Maybe you could do a video going through the "best and worst" of different yarn types? For instance, you said some of the cottons are fine for dish towels but not wearables, I think a video comparing the different cottons to know which is best for different projects, and which you just don't like would be wonderful. And then because I'm greedy and I love your channel, I wouldn't be opposed to such videos for other types of yarn either. Thanks for another awesome unboxing and review!

I find that the aran paintbox cotton is much less soft than the DK --- which is more like a light four weight really.
