Also, please keep in mind that this movie is primarily made for children, whereas the original text is highly philosophical, deep and poetic. Another important point is that it's common for someone who is not from Bharat to consider it as mythology. We, on the other hand, know it is history because we know about Siddhis, and what one can achieve through Sadhana, Yoga, and deep meditation. We have plenty of examples of these.
Also everything in Sanatan is linked. Nothing exists in singularity. So if a piece is called mythological that in turn seems that the existence of the whole sanatan system is negated. Hence, so many comments over that. Also there are concrete reasons to say Ramayana is not a myth.

It indeed seems like a fantasy. Even now, I find it hard to believe. But the thing is, all the recent works(from 1500s) are already ommiting of more fantastical elements. The only way to believe it is to consider the possibility of super-advanced civilization around 10,000 yrs ago(ice-age end) with insane advancements in inner mechanism of human beings, though remanants of this can actually be found in today's 'Siddhi'/powers gained by yogis, allowing them to live directly on sunlight without needing any food. You might actually meet these in Himalayas if you're lucky.

I think this is the oldest recorded history do not get me wrong! We have had paganism but people don't know much about it- we are not taught about this - but the more I'm discovering your culture the more I want to look into paganism here. Christianity arrived way too early here. Some pagan traditions are still alive though but it's like we know this tradition or that tradition only kept by very few = but you guys make me think a lot that I should look into that.

Mythology is such an easy word to use for a such a complex culture. An absence of evidence is not an evidence of absence. 100 years ago, a description of a smartphone would have been a myth. Its not mythology, you need to divide the time into 4 yug, In kali yug there is no powers or mantra will works (Krishna tells pandavas that there powers are not useful anymore since kalyug started and tells them to leave everything and proceed to swarg), In Satya yug and dwapara yug all the spells and mantras and divinity used to work.. After kalyug again satya yug will start and in Satya yug everyone speaks the truth and behaves well.

See Zuzana, Ramayan happened thousands of years ago, so we can't rule out the possibility that some exaggerations may have been added to the story over the years. Also, please keep in mind that this movie is primarily made for children, whereas the original text is highly philosophical, deep and poetic. Another important point is that it's common for someone who is not from Bharat to consider it as mythology. We, on the other hand, know it is history because we know about Siddhis, and what one can achieve through Sadhana, Yoga, and deep meditation. We have plenty of examples of these.
Also everything in Sanatan is linked. Nothing exists in singularity. So if a piece is called mythological that in turn seems that the existence of the whole sanatan system is negated. Hence, so many comments over that. Also there are concrete reasons to say Ramayana is not a myth.

In our epic Ramayana if you read once you can find in every page we have the description of Aeroplane called Vimanas.. so everything was there before and we are just rebuilding it. And the best aeroplane had Ravana and the name was Pushpak Vimana. And it has the ability to fly on light speed and it has mentioned that he won thrice by defeating Indra the king of Heaven using that Aeroplane. And as per Indian scriptures Heaven is in 3rd dimension of our Milky way galaxy and the distance is as much far that current civilization of our can't imagine..
Ravan in it self is story , he is a overachiever but his arrogance veiled his great knowledge and ability to see the Devine in front of him which led to his downfall.

Ramayana was written in the form of a poem in a metaphorical literary style but over centuries having passed on from generations a lot of theatrics and over the top elements were added by people. Many aspects were simply taken literally rather than metaphorically.
For example: Ravana was referred as 'The Ten-Headed' because he was wise and strong as 10 men and not because he had 10 heads in a literal way. Expressions like 'Flying' or 'talking to the wind' were also idiomatic/metaphorical terms used to refer to someone/something with great speed and not flying in literal sense.
I mean, 1000 years from now if someone were to read phrases like 'His eyes were raging with fire' they too might take it literally and think people in 21st century had supernatural abilities 😅 50 years back the word 'Gay' meant Happiness and now it has a completely different meaning. I hope I was able to convey the point

It indeed seems like a fantasy. Even now, I find it hard to believe. But the thing is, all the recent works(from 1500s) are already ommiting of more fantastical elements. The only way to believe it is to consider the possibility of super-advanced civilization around 10,000 yrs ago(ice-age end) with insane advancements in inner mechanism of human beings, though remanants of this can actually be found in today's 'Siddhi'/powers gained by yogis, allowing them to live directly on sunlight without needing any food. You might actually meet these in Himalayas if you're lucky.

Hanuman learnt all 8 'siddhis' and 9 'nidhis' from the sun god. Siddhi means special powers and Nidhi means treasure of divine knowledge. Anyone on the spiritual path can attain these siddhis through tantra, mantra, tap, knowledge, yoga or realisation, depending upon the individuals own spiritual capacity. And you get infinite re-spawns till you attain moksha...

I think this is the oldest recorded history do not get me wrong! We have had paganism but people don't know much about it- we are not taught about this - but the more I'm discovering your culture the more I want to look into paganism here. Christianity arrived way too early here. Some pagan traditions are still alive though but it's like we know this tradition or that tradition only kept by very few = but you guys make me think a lot that I should look into that.

Yeah, it is mythology ( may be) but you know in animation ravan is depicted as flying on a chariot but in original text he had a flying vehicle called "pushpak viamana" which is described by following features:-
1) it was only vimana(aeroplane)of that kind in that era , and if it is true than science has not advanced that much even now.
2) it needed no fuel
3) it don't make any sound while on the air
4) it changes its direction on ravan's will ( or may be where ravan move his eyes) .. etc etc...

These stories sound like mythology because these education doesn't exist anymore. After the Mahabharata, it wasn't passed down. Because Kalyug is not a era for these education, which might sound like mythology.
Mythology is such an easy word to use for a such a complex culture. An absence of evidence is not an evidence of absence. 100 years ago, a description of a smartphone would have been a myth. Only 50 years ago, Yoga and Meditation was a hippie, voodoo, laughing thing in the west. Fast forward to 2023, and is now a necessity. Eight siddhis or powers of Hanuman might be a tale from a fairytales for the west but is a common knowledge to the yogis and siddhas. Mythology is simply a word used by the ignorant and Mysticism is a word used by the learned, knowledgeable one. 🙏

Its not mythology, you need to divide the time into 4 yug, In kali yug there is no powers or mantra will works (Krishna tells pandavas that there powers are not useful anymore since kalyug started and tells them to leave everything and proceed to swarg), In Satya yug and dwapara yug all the spells and mantras and divinity used to work..
After kalyug again satya yug will start and in Satya yug everyone speaks the truth and behaves well.

Nonetheless, this doesn't change the fact that Hinduism is the oldest religion with documented texts and archaeological sites belonging to the locations mentioned in the anime. The reason you see monkey army is cuz we evolved from the monkeys and it's in that time frame of evolution this happens.
Considering Hinduism is scientifically proven to be thousands of years old, one is actually shocked to know that there were clothes and concepts of flying objects back then. So much so that the Integrated guided missiles system (path finder) idea was actually developed from Lord Ram's guided arrows...even scientists like Oppenheimer have given credit to Hinduism for his invention related to Atomic bomb.

Someone believe it or not, but land of Modern India (and ancient too) has never been governed by any king/ dynasties/ democratic governments in terms of principles and values.. For thousand of years, it has been governed by highest moral and human values set, and executed in person by Lord Rama against extreme odds. Eg giving and forgiving everything ang living in forests without any grief/ jealousy towards anybody despite being able enough to rule and conquer the world's deadliest powers and deamons. All this to fulfill words of promise made by his father to ehich he wasnt even party to...
All trhis goes lot deeper when one reads real scripts/ texts written by numerous meritorious poets and writers of highest degree.
One can imagine grandeour of Lord Rama during festival of Deepawali (Diwali) when he reached back home after 14 year's exile on this day. Biggest festival/ day for almost whole of India. It boosts up economy of entire India even today exhorbitantly.
