Kashmir is important because even after taking a big part of India as Pakistan(at time of division Pakistan+Bangladesh) the Islamist were not satisfied and wanted more from india and therefore started invading kashmir which was acceded to India by then ruler like other parts of country
Pakistan ,Bangladesh and Afghanistan are their fixed deposits. Those are Islamic states, No one else can lay a claim on them. India is a joint account. Plunder it as much as you please

Kashmir region is important to both BHARAT and an artificial religious based territory named "Pakistan".
Before we go further I'd like to mention that Kashmir has always been considered as the crown or head of BHARAT, which entails that it was a hub of intellectuals and enlightened monks. In many of our old manuscripts and Puranas (Sanatan history) Kashmir is always mentioned as a place, where sages used to go to get divine knowledge and enlightenment.
Until 1338, Kashmir's population consisted of various hindu communities and buddhist but it all changed in 1339 when a turk king Shah Mir, invaded Kashmir and started ruling it. Under his rule, he had done many forceful conversions, rapes of women by his army men and more, which triggered the first forced migration of Kashmiri Pandits to Jammu (a neighbour state of Kashmir) and since then many consecutive turk emperors ruled and had done various atrocities on the ethnic population of Kashmir which resulted in Kashmir to become a muslim majority state.
Having said that Kashmir's importance can be majorly divided into two which are Cultural and Geopolitical
In Cultural aspects
Bharat, as the oldest living civilisation, gives great importance to Kashmir due to the religious background and it's ancient heritage which is still present through carvings and murals on the temples that are still left there
Pakistan wants Kashmir because it is as I mentioned above is now Muslim majority region and so Pakistan, which was created based on islamic theology, thinks that Kashmiri people want to assimilate into Pakistan and so Pakistan waged a small scale war on Kashmir in 1947-48 and occupied one third part of it.
In Geopolitical Aspects
Bharat wants to trade with central asian countries through Afghanistan however currently the northern part of Kashmir, which connects us to Afghanistan is being under Pakistan's occupation and so Bharat wants that occupied region of Kashmir or POK back from Pakistan.
Pakistan wants Kashmir because it is full of natural resources like lithium, fresh mountainous water and it also can act as a buffer state to wage small scale wars or terror attacks on Bharat. Furthermore, Kashmir's northeastern boundaries connect with China and so Kashmir becomes even more important for Pakistan and china ( both Pakistan and china are allies and enemies of Bharat) to counter Bharat in any war like situations.
There are many other reasons for why both Bharat and Pakistan wants Kashmir but I've mentioned the major reasons. Hopefully I've answered your question

In Pakistan there were more than 150 Hindu temples situated across all pakistan territory..But during Islamic invasion they demolished them and the current situation is that either there are no temples or mosque constructed over the place or that holistic place used by drug addicts or used for urinals.

It was more of a supposition from my side due to the fact that many Indians themselves find some of our historical claims preposterous, not because there is no evidence, but because they were deliberately kept away from us. This leads me to contemplate whether outsiders examining our history might also struggle to accept these claims without proper references or logic.
For example, if I'm to tell you that various forms of cosmetic surgery, plastic surgery and rhinoplasty were being performed in India in 800 BCE, centuries before Europe, it would be hard to believe. But if one searches for Sushruta, one'll find he has authored the oldest known book on surgery and is known as the father of surgery. Now leave the Europeans, not many Indians know of this fact.

The word Kashmir comes from the great encient hindu sage "Kashyap" and "Mir". Mir means lake. A region which has a sage Kashyap's Lake. It was a Knowledge hub and place of Divine Hindu Knowledge , Literatre and Universities. Unfortunately continueous Islamic Invasions from Central asia and Arabs desyroyed all thousand years old encient Hindu ,Buddhist Temples and destroyed culture of the region.
The concept of global citizen is just a dumb concept. You can be a Bhartiya nationalist and still love others people from different countries based on mutual respect but to say countries doesn't matter i guess they never read history.

Temples were used for serious meditation at the period.
Abrahamic religions are only 2000-3000 years old. Before that all civilizations were Dharmic and polythestic. Only Indian civilization is surviving till now. While all the others have been either Christianized or Islamized. The resiliance can be seen in Indians.

One more point .....in a way Christians(british chritians) too ruled this country for 200 years and when present day indians rubbish them as looters no indian Christian gets offended because "invaders" has become their distinct identity....however when hindus rubbish monsters like Aurangjebs suddenly a large portion of muslim population starts crying fowl....the only reason i can think is that indian muslims are not able to distinguish their identity...instead of thinking themselves as the natives of this land. My opinion is they relate themselves with the invaders who came in the subcontinet...now u cant glorify the Butchers of one community as Rosy angels and then expect the other community to share ur delusional views...which is essentially the crux of every hindu muslim clash which has happened in this country

I wanna just say if a land is yours and someone come and say its his land and takes your land. Did you leave your land or you go to court and fight for it. You will fight to get your land .Between 2 countries there is no court so you will have to fight for your land and people. Kashmir issue can be understood through three main points... Security, Power & Pride. A perfect recipe for conflict n war. Unfortunately there's no religious touch involved to it... whatever we see about religion is just a narrative to draw attention !!!!
Security - Its all about water security of Pakistan. Since all the major rivers which flows in Pakistan originates more or less from the kashmir valley Pakistan had always tried to get control of that land for their water security. We have a water treaty between us by the name of *Indus Water Treaty* which I personally consider to be from the Jurassic age n need immediate reforms but unfortunately its still on & India respects that.
Power - The partition of India & Pakistan by Brits was due to fear of Soviet's easy access to the warm waters of the Indian ocean. They tried their best so that the king of Kashmir can join Pakistan but unfortunately Mr. Mountbatten miserably failed in that. From Pakistan POV, If Kashmir is seperated from India, India will loose all land connections with central Asia n Europe. Its will be a major geopolitical gain for Pakistan to maintain its relevance on the world map as a bridge.
Pride - Kashmir is considered as the head of a lady who we worship as Bharat mata or mother India. If you observe our map you can probably see an outline of a beautiful woman wearing a saree.
Hope now you can guess the magnitude of joy if you can chop off your enimy head from the body.
