i dont own a nas, i was looking into the market and got really excited for the 251D i like the spec, but most of my friends tell me go bigger, so i cant find any device with same new specs like the 251D, also here in europe today there is a offer for the 251D for about 299€
Not enough CPU. I specifically selected the Quad core of this CPU, the J4105 and it is perfect for a NAS. The dual CPU will bog down when playing videos locally and transferring files to the network.
After reading how just about every type of raid setup leaves a 5 bay NAS with the capacity of just the one initial drive makes buying one somewhat of a pointless exercise.
Hi James, Thats not how RAID works. If you had a 5 Bay NAS running RAID 5 you would lose the capacity of 1 disk. If you ran it as RAID 10 you would lose the capacity of 2 disks.

between duo and quad, i'd go for quad to be honest.
