Well.. If a eight year old child say it's a DEMON dinner lady eating treats in a cafeteria, it sounds like they are saying there's a literal demon wandering around a cafe so from her view, the child is imagning or making it up because she weren't there to understand what he literally meant.
You know how there is a show called Supernanny? I wonder how she would’ve dealt with that family, because she would not ignore how Henry is feeling like the parents do
The thing is, Henry is bad on purpose, at least in the books. In the perfect family contest he suppressed his hatred and disgust of cucumbers, so I think he would be an expert at making his parents look worse than they already are.
I'm not a dad. I'm deliberately celibate because I don't want to be a dad. I have no illusions I would be a better dad than Henry's parents, but I can absolutely blame people who are terrible parents for making that decision, or mistake, then being terrible to their little creation.
Henry is allowed to call the police here in the Demon dinner lady, because Henry’s mom or dad paid for that food with their own money, and they cannot take it without being gifted it
I remember one really bizarre episode of horrid Henry that left me extremely confused. When Henry's family were throwing a surprise birthday party for great aunt greta, for some unknown reason they didn't tell Henry about it. They let him get really excited about it too
They also did the same sort of thing when they took Peter to a happy hippos theme park for a reward for lots of gold stars at school and left henry who thought they were all going to another theme park. You could see poor Henry's face break as he was told he was being left with a babysitter. Sure he was such happier at home as his babysitter didn't give a shit but still how cheated henry must of felt
Most of Henry’s behavior is caused by how he’s treated, the rest is because he’s 8 Also is parents are risking him doing something permanent to himself when he’s older not that they’d care but Peter definitely would
One thing I find interesting is all the characters with negative monikers. They all have dark hair. While "Perfect Peter" has blonde hair. The mother is blonde as well. Could the mother be living in an alternate universe where Aryan looking children are "perfect" in her eyes?
For a British kids series that started in 2006, Horrid Henry really does tackle surprisingly "progressive" topics. As you said with William expressing his emotions but also in general following young boy leads that aren't afraid to express their emotions either, hell it's also in the name of Anxious Andrew. And while Henry does mock him for it, Peter is noticeably more "feminine" than you'd expect a young boy portrayed to be "Perfect" to be. And finally of course, there's the complex reactions to abuse and potentially trauma that we see in both Henry and Peter. Henry acting out because he's the more neglected child and possibly seeking attention, even if that attention is negative meanwhile Peter possibly developed some form of perfectionism as a result of seeing how Henry is treated and is likely displaying the Fawn response to trauma and perceived threats where you try to please the individual to minimise danger or distress. Maybe I'm reading into it too much but I feel like nowadays you'd have people complaining it's been poisoned by some "woke agenda" and that the whole thing with Great Aunt Greta thinking Henry's a girl is pushing "transgenderism" on children. That reminds me, subtly implying she has dementia also tackles a serious topic in a light-hearted way, something some children's cartoons like Arthur and I think Sesame Street too are well known for doing tactfully. I could ramble all day about this kind of stuff lol
I feel like Other Mother wouldn’t want him tbh which is funny to think about - he makes such trouble a monster doesn’t want him. And he wouldn’t fall for the sewing the buttons shtick.
Discipline is different from treating a kid badly because they are “evil” and “deserve misery and woe” A lot of the time Henry isn’t punished for his bad behavior, but for having wrong opinions or being a normal boy.
Honestly, I wonder who's worse, Horrid Henry or Dennis the Menace (the British one who's actually a terror to his parents and neighbours, not the well-meaning but innocently ignorant American one) - imagine the two of them trying to outdo each other with who can cause the most chaos.
Don't neglect/abuse your kid or kids. Honestly, I feel bad for Henry even if he does act rowdy at times. He might have ADHD or ADD, but I could be wrong so take that with a grain of salt. I'm not a psychology expert so I can't diagnose anyone myself. I just imagine his parents treating him horribly even if he's neurodivergent or not.
My idea for their adult lives is that Henry will become the next lead singer of his favourite band, The Killer Boy Rats. He has cut off all contact with his parents due to the emotional and psychological abuse they have inflicted upon him, even moving away to another country once he becomes successful to distance himself from them. Heck, he's even befriended their current singer Ed Banger countless times in the show. He eventually marries a beautiful lady he met at a local bar and has five children with her. Peter will realise that his goody two shoe, golden child ways are damaging and will choose to break off them for good. By that i mean using Henry as an example and cuts off all contact with his parents, he goes to University and studies hard to become a therapist. Why does he choose this particular career? Because Peter wants to help others who are struggling with the long term effects of their mental health issues, due to the amount of pressure that was placed upon them as children by their parents because they were viewed as their golden children. He also helps them out with issues concerning their relationships with their own family members, using his relationship with Henry as an example. He even keeps in contact with Henry, thanking him for giving him the confidence that he needed to get to where he is in his adult life. He too has moved overseas to get away from the parents. He doesnt get married, instead, he chooses to be a single father to a little girl he adopted from a local child welfare agency. He raises her differently from how he and Henry were brought up by his parents. Speaking of their parents, things take a turn for the worst.Their marriage has fallen apart to the point of divorce, resulting in the dad walking away from the mum. He moves away from her to another county, for example Northumberland. Leaving his wife for good has given him time to think about the past and what he could have done to stop everything from leading up to where it is now. However, he knows it is too late and all he could do is move on with his life. As for mum, she's left with nothing, nothing but remorse and regret. Her kids have turned their backs on her, the husband has left and the marriage is no more. She knows it is her fault, one hundred percent. P.S. Henry has written three particular songs in honour of the three important figures in his life: Fang the Hamster, his best mate Ralph and of course, his younger brother Peter.
These vids are so good and its clear you put great effort into making them ive watched all the horrid henry vids and enjoyed them all equally as much 💯
It’s important to discipline a child, but never in a way that makes the child feel unwanted, or that they have to earn your love, or that you’d that you’d be better off without them. Or by not feeding them.
I think Henry would become like his dad when he grows up cuz I remember an episode where we meet Simon brother who has similar hair to Peter which might be a direct reference to how Peter and Henry might be cuz they do not get along
Of course. I understand if you’re stressed. BUT AS A PARENT YOU SRE SUPPOSED TO CONTAIN YOURSELF WITH YOUR CHILD. YOUR CHILD IS NOT YOUR STRESS TOY. YOUR CHILD IS NOT AN EMOTIONAL RELEASE FOR YOU TO PUT YOUR ANGER ONTO. A CHILD HAS A BRAIN. AND IF YOU TREAT THEM LIKE SOME SORT OF TOOL, THAT BRAIN WILL SLOWLY BREAK.
Henry: “But, Mum, there’s a demon dinner lady at school and she’s taking all our treats!”. The mother: **in an oh so caring and innocent way** : “Oh that’s nice! 😁 . Night, night. 😇 .”. SnipeSnap: “She couldn’t care less, could she?”. Yup, I think she *couldn’t care less* . I think. Wait, are Henry’s parents real names “Fuming Francesca” and “Silly Simon”? I just want to know.
Yes, discipline is important. But so is understanding the difference between discipline and abuse/neglect. What Henry experiences for just being a child is abuse and neglect, not discipline.
3:43 erm pretty sure tea refers to afternoon tea (a cup of tea and a snack) and not dinner , so probably he will have dinner but not his afternoon tea, haven't watched the episode so i may be wrong but seems like Henry just back from school which would line up better with afternoon tea rather than dinner, also not defending the parents just wanted point that thing out. Edit: also the mom says "you can have tea in the morning " she never mentioned anything about food or dinner
the first one is straight up biasness i'll be real before covid came, i was like hendry and my sister was like peter and most of the time we fought and my parents never acted that way even tho we live in a society where "all girls should be discipline"
hears a great idea for a horrid Henry movie a movie where all the characters are grown ups and Henry is doing great with out he’s parents and he’s parents now have to watch both of their kids thriving with out them while they suffer.
To be honest this episode reveals much about absentee parents. Moody Margaret and Rude Ralph have very rich families and have more authority yet where were their parents when that bloated Beluga Whale stuffed her gullet down with their food?
It’s so funny that Peter felt left out and don’t have attention on him, but he’s the one who only gets the good attention from his family. He’s the golden child. Maybe it’s because he doesn’t have every single aspect of the parents’ attention. so he wants to experience what Henry experiences
I never watched the show, I have only seen the bits online, and what I am seeing is a British attempt to create a Calvin character from Calvin and Hobbes mixed with a little bit of the American Dennis the Menace....but who's parents are oblivious idiots who don't care about their son at all. Calvin's dad may not have understood his son, but he did love him and care about him and was a good father....even if he kept going on about suffering building character. And Calvin's mom was attentive even if he didn't understand him and his escapism either. But Henry's parents are just so bad at being parents that it boggles the mind.

Love the name you gave Henry’s mum, “Fuming Francesca”.😁
The way he treats Peter should be held to account, but because of how he’s treated by his parents is it surprising the way he behaves?
I'm not a dad. I'm deliberately celibate because I don't want to be a dad. I have no illusions I would be a better dad than Henry's parents, but I can absolutely blame people who are terrible parents for making that decision, or mistake, then being terrible to their little creation.
Henry is allowed to call the police here in the Demon dinner lady, because Henry’s mom or dad paid for that food with their own money, and they cannot take it without being gifted it
Horrid Henry’s parents are the WORST! They get me very irritated and make my skin crawl when I see them mistreat Henry! 😡
Makes me grateful my parents weren't too restrictive nor careless.
henry’s mum and dad are a classic example of narcissistic parents. explains a lot of his behaviours too
How do you not know any of these kids could have anger issues
Henry's parents are disgusting and should not have children in the first place.
I feel sorry for Henry 😢
I remember one really bizarre episode of horrid Henry that left me extremely confused. When Henry's family were throwing a surprise birthday party for great aunt greta, for some unknown reason they didn't tell Henry about it. They let him get really excited about it too
I'll look this up!
Reason why they never told Henry about it they might've been worried Henry would do something Horrid to ruin it or try to get out of the Suprise Party
@@comicbookreviewer4856yeah your right but it's still a disgusting move by the parents because that is outright deceit
7:56 God, can this mother let her son read his comic book in peace? 😠
2:37 the reason is that Henry's mum thinks she is confiscating the sweats
Yes with her stomach
That doesn’t make it better
Schools confiscating part of kids’ lunch - or anything - is bullshix; that is the parents’ money.
Horris Henry is "horrid" becaise he's mistreated and ignored, kids lash out in behavoirs for attention.
Honestly, if the parents were a lot nicer and better, they would name him happy henry or something more positive
THANK YOU SNIPESNAP FOR DOING MY REQUEST ❤️
Hope you enjoyed it!
Most of Henry’s behavior is caused by how he’s treated, the rest is because he’s 8
Also is parents are risking him doing something permanent to himself when he’s older not that they’d care but Peter definitely would
As a Henry myself, this was funny to listen to 😅
One thing I find interesting is all the characters with negative monikers. They all have dark hair. While "Perfect Peter" has blonde hair. The mother is blonde as well. Could the mother be living in an alternate universe where Aryan looking children are "perfect" in her eyes?
Sour Susan has blonde hair.
@bridgetgrant2776 Exactly. She thinks the "Perfect" people are like her.
I'd like to see a Weepy William video. Sounds interesting.
3:45 “You can have tea in the morning!” Woman, are you saying you want your son to starve to death? I can’t believe I was on her side watching this.
Dad:don’t be horrid Henry.what kind of line is that?
If Henry was in the Coraline universe he would have had every right to go with the other mother, and it would have been all his parents fault.
I feel like Other Mother wouldn’t want him tbh which is funny to think about - he makes such trouble a monster doesn’t want him. And he wouldn’t fall for the sewing the buttons shtick.
@SupHapCak oh you're right. I agree he wouldn't fall for the buttons. But he doesn't ever seem to actually make real trouble.
A parent who loves thier child will discipline them, a parent who doesnt hates thier child
Discipline is different from treating a kid badly because they are “evil” and “deserve misery and woe”
A lot of the time Henry isn’t punished for his bad behavior, but for having wrong opinions or being a normal boy.
I need William’s lore 🙏🙏
Henry is the only person in his family that I actually like
Honestly, I wonder who's worse, Horrid Henry or Dennis the Menace (the British one who's actually a terror to his parents and neighbours, not the well-meaning but innocently ignorant American one) - imagine the two of them trying to outdo each other with who can cause the most chaos.
Please can you do a weepy William video??
I like the way you so good at looking deep in to hoired herry
The parents are only really abusive in the show because in the books, he’s just a menace to society.
These vids are so good and its clear you put great effort into making them ive watched all the horrid henry vids and enjoyed them all equally as much 💯
Thanks a ton! 👊🏻
It’s important to discipline a child, but never in a way that makes the child feel unwanted, or that they have to earn your love, or that you’d that you’d be better off without them.
Or by not feeding them.
3:59 WILLIAM IS AN EMO KID
There was only one adult who liked Henry and that was his teachers mum.
You Should do a video about weeping William
"Can I have my questionnaire back?"
"NO GO TO YOUR ROOM!"
"Not bad parents."
No shit.
Yeah all he does is come in and say he got homework and he gets sent to his room without dinner at noon.
I think Henry would become like his dad when he grows up cuz I remember an episode where we meet Simon brother who has similar hair to Peter which might be a direct reference to how Peter and Henry might be cuz they do not get along
6:47 I never knew people think his father is the hot one💀
The last part was great! Keep up this content, It's brilliant 👏
Thank you 🙌
Weeping William has typical emo styled hair. So he's probably just very empathetic.
@Starberri_15 Okay…?
@@The-creator-of-good-videos-15the dad is called silly Simon in one of the episodes
The lunch lady Ate the muffin wrapper
4:07 HEY! THAT'S MY MAIN CHANNEL'S COMMENT!!!!!
Yes, discipline is important. But so is understanding the difference between discipline and abuse/neglect. What Henry experiences for just being a child is abuse and neglect, not discipline.
Do you know how fucked it is when someone who despises children with all her being can tell the difference between discipline and abuse?
It's illegal to starve your child. That's not good parenting no shit. L takes by these people
never stop doing these i love it
“You can have tea in the morning!” Shows how ignorant she can be! She clearly doesn’t care! 3:45
In the UK, tea IS dinner.
You're from America, Tea means something different in the UK. 🙄
My question is why didn't the other kid complain to their parents about Greasy Greta
I was banned from watching the show because I was copying Henry and now I regret it
All children deserves parents
But not all parents deserve children…
So I wasn't the only one who thought henry had bad parents. Sure some times he acts in a horrid way but at least he still has ambitions and is trying.
His parents are abusive and naracissist Henry is not bad
7:07 I get it there names are a reference to Francesca Simon
the first one is straight up biasness
i'll be real before covid came, i was like hendry and my sister was like peter and most of the time we fought and my parents never acted that way even tho we live in a society where "all girls should be discipline"
hears a great idea for a horrid Henry movie a movie where all the characters are grown ups and Henry is doing great with out he’s parents and he’s parents now have to watch both of their kids thriving with out them while they suffer.
This isn’t a movie.
A movie has to have a challenge or conflict for the main characters to overcome.
Bro i saw your perfect peter psychopath video 3 months ago, your video equipment has improved a lot!
Wow, thanks!
no wonder she is called "greasy greta"💀💀💀
To be honest this episode reveals much about absentee parents. Moody Margaret and Rude Ralph have very rich families and have more authority yet where were their parents when that bloated Beluga Whale stuffed her gullet down with their food?
It’s so funny that Peter felt left out and don’t have attention on him, but he’s the one who only gets the good attention from his family. He’s the golden child. Maybe it’s because he doesn’t have every single aspect of the parents’ attention. so he wants to experience what Henry experiences
It’s because Henry gets rewarded with deals (be good and get money) while Peter is good all the time and gets nothing.
Major depressive disorder for weeping William or whatever his name is
You do know that we be willing to just have something wrong with him so he doesn't know how to properly Express them if I'm making seen
Henry is guitarist
I never watched the show, I have only seen the bits online, and what I am seeing is a British attempt to create a Calvin character from Calvin and Hobbes mixed with a little bit of the American Dennis the Menace....but who's parents are oblivious idiots who don't care about their son at all. Calvin's dad may not have understood his son, but he did love him and care about him and was a good father....even if he kept going on about suffering building character. And Calvin's mom was attentive even if he didn't understand him and his escapism either. But Henry's parents are just so bad at being parents that it boggles the mind.
William is my favorite character in horrid Henry
