Peter would tattle, cry and moan and their parents would scold, punish and say *Don’t be Horrid Henry* yet they, especially mum and dad would have no moral compass or common sense to look at how awful and worse their own actions and treatments towards Henry are and make them no better than they always complain about him being.
Maybe in season 1, Peter was upset that Henry was mean to him, so as season 2-5 unfolded, he became hell bent on getting Henry into trouble for doing practically nothing, descending into being a brat. I still believe there’s a good kid inside.
When I was a kid, i watched horrid Henry on CITV and i always thought Henry's life was unfair. When I got older, I really started to understand how dangerous some of the ideologies this show was pushing. For example, using tears as a weapon, grown-ups are automatically in the right the worst of them all. That it's OK to abuse
As an American, I don’t think we had horrid Henry growing up, but we did had chicken little on dvd, and that basically has the same ideology as horrid Henry…which is neoliberalism…apparently.
An example of Fuming Francesca being abuses is in when Henry tells his parents and Peter about their cat Fluffy but his parents don’t believe him and they didn’t check around the house

You might as well they lured Margaret in with pancakes too because in that very same episode Margaret went alongside Henry to eat some pancakes too, Henry even stated that he invited Margaret over. She was also attempting to "run away" too.
In my head, Henry would grow up to form a famous rock band, being happily married to not Moody Margret, BUT to Mona of "Mona The Vampire" (a "Horrid Henry"/"Mona The Vampire" crossover would be pretty cool) and becoming the proud parents to twin macabre hellions.
To me, Peter is a lot more bratty and spoiled than Caillou. At least Caillou’s behavior is more understandable since he’s only 3 to 4. Meanwhile, Peter is 8 to 9 and should know better.
I’d argue both of their behaviour is understandable. Peter is a little kid who’s been shown that the “correct behaviour” is being annoyed at Henry. He desperately wants to meet his parents’ impossibly high expectations, and one of the main behaviours they’ve modelled for him is “call out Henry’s every move that could potentially be seen as wrong”. I’m not saying that he’s a particularly nice kid but, realistically, he’s a traumatised kid (honestly, one of the worst parts about Golden Child trauma is that it’s much harder to recognise than Scapegoat trauma. At least when you’re the scapegoat you eventually realise “my parents treated me objectively way worse than my sibling”, as the golden child you’re likely stuck for ages thinking “but I wasn’t treated badly, they treated my sibling badly”).
Peter gets Henry into trouble because that's the only way he gets any attention. The parents don't really give positive attention, they're happy to ignore a well-behaved child. As shown by them just doing their own thing as Peter tries to talk to them.
Peter when you think about it does this a lot over the series. It's almost as if he doesn't want to share the spotlight with Henry as he craves the approval and attention as he wants to keep the "perfect" image.
4:50 Henry's parents being on the Villains Wiki is something that, at the same time, I'm surprised about, and yet shouldn't be surprised at the same time.
I will never condone or justify Peter’s actions. Yes, he may be annoying due to his bratty behaviour and he may not be one of the best kids, but I also feel sympathy for him along with Henry as Peter is expected to be perfect by his parents and he always gets upset if he couldn’t achieve such simple things (example: He was upset that he didn’t get a trophy at the school’s race) and believes he has to be perfect in everything.
in the episode “horrid henry, horrid boy?”, there is a part where henry has to fill a form from the school. he says them as children have to fill it but mum takes it and she will fill it in when she isn’t supposed to. it asked about how much tv, sweets, etc. about henry. she says that “henry has none of tv or sweets. he does homework even when he is given double, and he makes things in his free time.”they ended up getting a message from the school saying that they arent normal for his age. so they should take a course to learn how to be bettet parents straight away. fuming francesca and silly simon had just got exposed for their actions. it also shows that they have high expectations on henry. they want those expectations for the golden child who is peter. they got exposed real hard…
Dad spent the entire episode trying to stay awake to be honest, he did at least say morning and night to Henry at the beginning. It's possible Dad was used to Mum and Peter's bad behaviour and was too cowardly to stand up for it as he does make more effort with Henry in that season. Henry even went out the way to ask his boss to reduce his workload as he was struggling in one episode.
3:53 is anyone gonna talk about the drawing of a man with a blue and orange clothes yelling? Maybe Henry tried to draw his dad. Even if his dad is not the meanest one, he probably feels his dad is a bit more angry while his mom uses passive aggression. Think of the time when Peter sprayed water at Henry with the hose? When his dad came, his dad was more angry then his mom usually is
0:10 Does no one realise that when Henry said good morning, Henry's dad says afternoon 🤣 he's so ignorant he doesn't even know what time of day it is 🤣🤣
2:04 His mom looks ready to beat Henry or to throw out his magazine right in front of him. She would totally do the latter if it means making Henry bitter and spiteful, because she thinks she's "teaching him a lesson". 2:54 I thought Henry's mom was definitely going to throw out the magazine because he made his little brother cry. Although with Perfect Peter and Jimmy, it's really not that hard to make crybullies cry. 3:01 By the way, isn't Peter too old to be shrieking and sobbing like a baby here? I wish Henry and Peter's mom would stop looming over the trashcan like that because she's sending off very insidious blackmail vibes. Is "Blackmail" the right word? 3:27 Another thing you probably need to point out is that, there are three seats at the dining table and not four. Where's Henry's seat? Is that empty seat for Henry and the mom just has a chair somewhere off screen? 2:58 To really sell the tantrum, Peter should be hitting the table with his fists and knees. 3:26 I just thought Simon wouldn't look up because he knew his wife would just resort to being a prick to him and just give him the same pissed-off, "I hAVE hAD iT" scowl. I love how the dad's expression goes from, "Huh" at 4:12 to "Oh, yeah, that's Peter for you" at 4:13. 5:23 Isn't it wrong to lie to your kids? Yeah, I know he doesn't want to hurt Peter's feelings even if he said, "No son, that's not really exciting. Do you have anything else to share?" Simon is such a pushover. He's afraid to hurt one of his kids' feelings but lash out at the other one just because his wife and youngest son are complete aholes. 7:33 You should see that episode, "If Smells like an Ed" from Ed Edd n Eddy, Jimmy puts Peter to shame and the Eds aren't even related to him. He says, "And they made me cry". I'm sure you probably know why that episode stinks to high heaven since it's pretty reviled online. Just fake cry and set up the neighborhood pariahs because they usually bully you, even though it was only Eddy that gave Jimmy a wedgy and pretty much everyone, except Sarah laughed at him. Granted, he did have a right to be upset and his "friends", they really should have been framed alongside Double D and Ed. Not Jimmy's excuse of, "REvenge takes no PRISONERS!"
I guess after peter's birth henry was neglected so he hated peter, but peter is not innocent either, he is a brat throwing fits left and right, if henry was rude to peter then peter was a monster towards henry (The only people that are to blame for this situation are their parents for picking favorites)
Oh, yeah, Peter could cry over anything even something that has nothing to do with Henry and Henry would get blamed and punished and Peter would have no shame when he’s supposed to be perfect to everyone.
Have you ever watched Ed, Edd, n Eddy? That cartoon has a prime example of parental favouritism. Ed suffers from neglect from his parents for the sake of his sister, Sarah. As a scapegoat to a golden child myself, I felt for him. The episodes "3 squares and an Ed" and "Rock-a-bye Ed" give a lot of insight into how badly his family treat him, especially for Sarah's sake.
In the episode horrid Henry tidies up in a scene where Peter is tidying up he picks up a picture of Henry with their parents and scribbles over Henry’s face

I'd adopt Henry. he deserves better. It would be difficult to support him financially. But, if Henry has a problem, I would drop EVERYTHING to help him.
Another example is the same episode that was first seen in the video. When Henry got his comic, Peter snatched it from Henry’s hands. That’s right, didn’t tell Mum, he SNATCHED it from Henry’s hands!
This is somewhat normal behavior. Even outside of fiction, people tend to vilify the golden child instead of the parents who are playing favorites. It’s really dumb because neither child asked for this situation.
The background is so cool sheeeeeeesh also the way he put "snipe snap" into hand signs is so cool and clever but hes rlly clever and creative in all of his videos that ive seen
I very much want a fan episode where child services take Peter and Henry from Simon and Francesca. The parents are forced to take parenting classes to get their kids back, but are put through boot camp by the teacher when they accidentally let slip they have 2 kids and only want 1 back. Meanwhile, Henry and Peter are given to different foster parents. Henry’s are strict, but in the loving way parents are supposed to be. Peter’s treat Peter the way Simon and Francesca treated Henry and he learns just how bad his brother has it. When the Parent Things are approved to get their kids back, Henry refuses to leave his foster parents and has a terrible meltdown (he’s not even 10 yet, he isn’t going to understand that they obviously had to improve to get their kids back) while Peter is elated. No one forces Henry to return to his parents and he stays with his foster parents (who possibly adopt him) and Peter gets the shock of a lifetime when Simon and Francesca don’t go back to babying him and placing him on a pedestal.
Yep pretty much except it's way less violent and gruesome There's way less nonsense and weirdness And thankfully no cursing or at least not the the ones you find in some crude adult cartoon Best of all, some good animation
Subscribed long ago and always like these videos because they are just tremendous !!!!! Its great to see evidence that parents are not always right - and teachers, I mean look at how awful Miss Battleaxe treats Henry 😱👏👏👏
Henry: moves or breathes or jumps Peter: LISTEN HERE YOU DUMB KID THIS IS MY HOUSE AND YOU DO WHAT I SAY, NO ONE IS HORRID IN HERE I CAN’T BELIEVE YOU DECIDED TO BREATHE AND MOVE ONE STEP, IM TELLING MUM!
The fact that Henry has saved Peter’s LIFE multiple times and still gets treated like this by Peter (not to mention his mother is realistically extremely abusive) is just so sad, the only good person is his Dad after he realised how bad they’re treating him. Someone call CPS.
I always wanted to think that Perfect Peter is tired of being perfect, he wants to be horrid like his older brother. Maybe that's why he's a "master manipulator", he secretly idolizes Henry in a much devilish way. Maybe Peter is just as horrid as Henry is claimed to be. We may never know.

1:34 i think the three hearts resemble the mom and the dad and peter but not including henry. that's messed up
True
This is somewhat normal behavior.
Even outside of fiction, people tend to vilify the golden child instead of the parents who are playing favorites.
It’s really dumb because neither child asked for this situation.
Peter: are you enjoying my story?
Me: SAY THAT AGAIN! I DARE YOU
Meanwhile if Henry told his parents a story, they wouldn’t even bother lying that they were listening. They’d tell him to f off
0:23 Oh my god, what is that reaction and animation
@thebakeosaurusrex8361 The reaction makes the animation look like a masterpiece
The background is so cool sheeeeeeesh also the way he put "snipe snap" into hand signs is so cool and clever but hes rlly clever and creative in all of his videos that ive seen
6:52 well this give me nightmare fuel
Parents: Henry We Hate YOU!
Peter: He Saved My Life
GET OUT YOU TWO!😎
Henry: **walks one step**
Peter: WAHHHH😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Henry has every rights to be the villain here
I couldn’t watch this show after I turned 10, Peter and the parents became insufferable and even more abusive
No one forces Henry to return to his parents and he stays with his foster parents (who possibly adopt him) and Peter gets the shock of a lifetime when Simon and Francesca don’t go back to babying him and placing him on a pedestal.
facts
Forget a fan episode, it should be a canon episode
@@AlfieTrevor4444 it really should
Horrid henry is if caillou gets grounded for nothing was a show
Yep pretty much except it's way less violent and gruesome
There's way less nonsense and weirdness
And thankfully no cursing or at least not the the ones you find in some crude adult cartoon
Best of all, some good animation
amen. Team Henry STAND UP! Like this comment so Horrid knows we support him! ✊✊
Henry: *watches tv for 0.01 seconds*
Peter the Pitch: MUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUM
Subscribed long ago and always like these videos because they are just tremendous !!!!! Its great to see evidence that parents are not always right - and teachers, I mean look at how awful Miss Battleaxe treats Henry 😱👏👏👏
In the show he always took the blame for Peter, plus he literally let a bookshelf fall on him so Peter wouldn't be hurt :(
And he even said that he was the one who broke the vase, even though it was Peter.
let's not forget about the time Henry saved Peter from a huge dog and his mom showed up and reprimanded him without even hearing him out
Henry: moves or breathes or jumps
Peter: LISTEN HERE YOU DUMB KID THIS IS MY HOUSE AND YOU DO WHAT I SAY, NO ONE IS HORRID IN HERE I CAN’T BELIEVE YOU DECIDED TO BREATHE AND MOVE ONE STEP, IM TELLING MUM!
Also, Henry said “morning” and his dad answers “good afternoon Henry”, shaming Henry for sleeping in
0:13 Let him read his comic book!! 😡
given how shrill Peter's cry is I would be glad to sort out the loo rolls too.
The 3 hearts on the frame is crazy too, like 3 of them are part of the family and Henry isn't, but I could be overthinking it
henry: **literally breathes 1 time**
bad peter: MUMMMMMM😭😭😭😭😭😭😜😜😜😜
his parents: dOnT bE hOrRieDd hEw6Y
These vids make me remember how crazy horrid henry was
Peter is a crazy brother to have
The fact that Henry has saved Peter’s LIFE multiple times and still gets treated like this by Peter (not to mention his mother is realistically extremely abusive) is just so sad, the only good person is his Dad after he realised how bad they’re treating him. Someone call CPS.
Thankfully I grew up with the old seasons
Henry: *breathes*
Mum and Dad: DON'T BE HORRID, HENRY
I would love for social services/CPS to watch this and get their opinion. Then again you don't have to be a social worker to see Henry is abused.
Bros parents is so abusive i bet when he blinks wrong he gets his living rights suspended
I always wanted to think that Perfect Peter is tired of being perfect, he wants to be horrid like his older brother. Maybe that's why he's a "master manipulator", he secretly idolizes Henry in a much devilish way. Maybe Peter is just as horrid as Henry is claimed to be. We may never know.
these videos keep getting better and your channel is growing rapidly
I appreciate that!
