- Three consecutive videos all rolled in one. Found the very first motorcycle I had while in Florida; which was a 1998 Honda Shadow ACE. While in Arkansas, I met Bill from Witchcraft Cycle Works as he was showing me his 1974 Shovelhead with jockey shift, foot clutch, and kickstart only. While on their way to the El Diablo run, Captain Ron and Caleb stopped in for the night as they were making the trip on their Harley Davidson Evo choppers that they had made themselves.

Really enjoyed meeting Bill and Rae from Witchcraft - awesome bike and a good time! Hope we cross paths again!
And - good to be able to get Ron and Calib out of the rain on their way to the El Diablo run. Awesome choppers!
Bad axe Michigan?
@@WFO.Ian.30 yes!
@@themissuscostelli497 no shit. That’s where I’m from. Building my own jockey shift xs
@@WFO.Ian.30 cool!
Sweeet scoots. That wicked witch shovel is gorgeous! how funny, caleb n ron were our cabana neighbors at EDR!
Small world
You were the first thing that popped in my mind d when they said they were heading to edr
I ride a shadow 1100.all bikes featured are pretty cool nice looking bikes.
I had an 1100 Sabre, the only bike I've ever regretted selling.
Great video as usual Tramp. Some really cool bikes there. All different, but super nice. The jockey shift reminds me of my 1942 "45" flat head. Foot clutch hand shift. That was back in 1955 though. I really am old school. Way older than my 99 Softail Custom. My wife and I just celebrated our 64th wedding anniversary on June first.
Right on! Happy anniversary
Congratulations to you both 🎉
Thanks mihai
My wife and I just celebrated our 50th anniversary June2. I hope I am still riding at you age. BTW I was 19 when married.
@@danjohnson7767 Congratulations. I was 18 and she was 17. We had gone steady together all through high school. I graduated a year ahead of her so had to wait for her to graduate to get married. By that time I had a solid job. A new NSU Superfox 125 and a 55 Ford black and white Crown Victoria. Those were the days. I had sold the Harley by that time. Wish I had kept it. And the Crown Victoria. Hind sight. LOL
Good times! Thanks for the couch!
Glad to have y’all!
Anytime!
Thats a ride from Tampa to san Felipe
Sure is!
My dad had that exact same ACE, same year, same color. I miss those days riding with him.
Good video. Each scooter matched it’s owner. That’s the way it’s supposed to be.
Couldn't agree more
That hard-tail shovel is one tough ride from FL to where those guys are going. Both those bikes need special attention the whole way. They must know their machines. Thanks for posting.
They sure do!
Both these rigid frame choppers have 80" evo engines and at least one has a super B carb and belt drive primary. Carry an extra belt and adjust the rear chain the motor and tranny will need very little maintenance. Change oil and keep gas in it. Personally I would run a larger tank and not have to carry a plastic jerry can. Bar hoppers trying to go cross country. I know I did it. 55 panhead, 12 over wide glide with a sportster tank and super B. Never thought I would reach Idaho going across Montana. Thought it was the longest state to go across till I got to El Paso and wanted to get across Texas on I-10. Later Corey.
SHEP IS A GOOD HARD WORKING DUDE ... HELPS OUT A LOTT AT FA !👍🏻👍🏻
Those shadows are cool man! Love all those bikes!
Definitely some old school, keeping it true, chopper rides.
Corey, looks like you're having fun! (Being good to yourself!) Thanks for Sharing!
Those Choppers man..., wow I love them !
that chopper is crazy ! 🎉 cool stuff man! 😎
Yeah it was
Safe ride boys, Bon voyage.
Great concept for a video, meet these folks and getting them talking about their beauties 😍
Old schools ways are the best !! Timeless looks!! Just give a few minutes for warmup. At least 3 minutes. And enjoy your ride
That was a sweet ride. Love the colors on that Honda.
Cool. Just cool. Have a great ride boys!
I had a foot clutch/Jockey shifter on my 05 Springer Classic and loved it.
I’m considering putting one on my 03 Road King.
Pulling at my heartstrings Tramp, I've been debating on weather or not to build me a chopper down here in Ormond. Back up in Ohio we didn't have many .Mostly cruisers. But down here they really are a must with the traffic and all year round riding. Besides being retired I need a project and an old bag of bolts chopper may be the ticket. Thanks buddy enjoy your vlogs.
Loved the sweet sound of those customs. Thanks man, great video.
Thanks for including me in this video. We look forward to meeting you again.
I love what you said about not naming her “Precious “!! 😂
Likewise!
Sweet little gang bang of bikes, I even dug that honda!!!
I had a 1100 Sabre loved that bike ride safe my friend
'79 Sportster as your 1st Harley will give you lots of experience turning wrenches ... :-) .... Never owned a '79 XL but have repaired them for others more than any other year ....
It taught me a lot!
Honda Shadow Ace is a great bike. Love the old-school choppers not sure about kick only start that could be sketchy.
If not tuned just right, they can be a real bear.
Your first bike was a 79 sporty, I had one of those too that was a bastard year sportster because the rear master cylinder was in a goofy place and the exhaust would only fit that year. Crazy shit.
5:54 Hey saddle tramp it’s me,,, (again) Paul wow it’s my second time writing on your comments another good short video yes,,, the bikes & your fellow riders look Kool/nice👍🇺🇸😎 keep doin watt U do✝️ keep the rubber side down ! & knees in da~Breeze
Hey Paul! Thanks so much!
NOW that is the way choppers are supposed to be ...not just a bunch of bolt on accessories, but make it yourself craftsmanship!!!!
Well said
Sweet choppers !!!!
Yep!
Those are some genuinely great bikes!!! I love the creativity!!!
I recognize that wicked witch bike…
Sweet stuff !! Ride free!🇺🇸
Hey Corey, nice to see a video. I’m having total knee replacement 730 in the morning. Y’all be safe.
Hoping it's a full recovery
Cool bikes all the way around, hope they had a safe ride!!!

Awesome bikes great video
Man, what a cool video, Saludos Amigo!
Cool chopper s
Yes indeed
Very cool.
Up the irons! 🤘🏻
Hey Corey, was surprised to hear you had a Honda Shadow Ace too. 😃Great bikes. Very reliable. My wife had two. One 1998 black and turquoise like the one you had and now she has a 1999 black one, which is still in mint condition. (i do the maintenance on it 😅) She doesn"t want to ride any other bike than her Shadow Ace. Did you know that Honda used a single crank pin on their Shadow Ace engines from 1995 till 1999. That"s why their sound came very close to the Harley sound. Harley then contemplated to take Honda to court for copying their sound, but after the lawyers told Harley that they "must be kidding" they let it go. Honda switched back to dual crankpin engines in 2000 anyways. Great video again, by the way 👍🤘
Yeah I heard about that. Yamaha did the same thing, but they must have had better lawyers because they won out in court
Awesome🎉
those two are hardcore...right on!
Indeed so
🎉🎉🤘. good vid
Shadow ace is a great bike
Hello!
Very nice bikes! :) Thanks for showing them!
In Hungary, we like Japanese cruisers pretty much! They are affordable, and reliable. Unfortunately, most people here don't have the money to buy Harleys and stuff. For my second bike i almost went with a Honda Shadow American Classic Edition. It is a beautiful motorcycle! But I ended up with a Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Classic. I love that it has belt drive, not to mention the liquid cooling, and electronic fuel injection. Take care! ML&R from Hungary, EU!
Hey, Hardy. Glad you can dig them. Thanks for stopping in.
Cool bikes
Nice bikes.
They are!
great!
Choppers 🎉
San Felipe was fun,
I liked the tires
Like there bikes. Love the EVO. Oh ya !
Killer choppers!!!! I'm going to start building my 1st chopper this winter because my son is almost old enough to ride legally and he's got his heart set on my 08 deluxe. Plan is to run a softail frame, evo with a baker 6 speed and have it setup like Richard's 20 over except at 45 with a bad spine I'm not even trying to ride on a rigid. I originally thought about going rigid but I would hate to get it done and not be able to ride it as far as I desire due to the back saying no way old man get off..
You could one with a spring seat. I've rode with and without, and the difference is night and day.
@@SaddleTrampTV thanks for the info
My next scoot is going to be an 92 or 93 FXR preferably an FXRP.. However, my husband probably won't let me get another bike til I get my 73 ironhead back on the road and put the 1200 Sportster I bought for $500 last year together which is a complete basket case, not even a rolling chassis, but everything is there to put it back together with minimal cash out of pocket, hopefully.. who knows I may keep the 1200 considering its rubber mounted which I like cuz it doesn't beat me up as bad as my 73.. I just haven't figured out how to rubber mount my 73 yet.. so far everything I've researched says it can't be done.. not with a stock frame I'm thinking.. well nothing has ever been achieved by the person who says it can't be done! Well with that being said I better get my ass out the door and moving instead of watching videos.. Hope you have the best day ever!
Nice old skool cool bikes. The 1984 softail I personally would have left it alone and kept it original. Early evos are rare. People hacking up and modifying original Harley evo motorcycles is the same sin as what people did to original knucklehead and panhead Harleys back in the day.
Good to see u again amigo😎
👍
I went to EDR , I didn’t see them over there, did they broke down on the way ? Do you know if they did make it ?
They made it.
👍👍

Spare (plastic?) Fuel tank right behind the exhaust? 🤔
Chopper stuff
@@SaddleTrampTV I hope it's faster than the flames....oofda!👍
Man i thought you stopped making videos RUclips hasn’t given me notifications in years
RUclips isn't too persistant.
@@SaddleTrampTV well glad to see your still uploading videos keep them coming ✌️
My mini me son on steroids put a suicide shift on his 82 or 83 Kawasaki LTD which has a 10ft chain because the frame was extended, this thing is crazy! Looks crazy even.. So yesterday he's like mom can I have one of your seats and a fender I can chop up? I had to laugh cuz now he's taking HD stuff to put on his Kawasaki.. so why not get just get an HD? Seriously what I don't understand is how Harley owner parents have kids that own Kawasaki LTD's and Suzuki Katana's? Guess I'll never know.. 😂
My first bike was 98 1100 Honda Shadow. I was thinking it looks enough like a Harley. That didn't last long. Less than two years later I entered the world of HD on a 79 sportster; hardtail and kick only. I didn't care... it was a Harley and that was enough. Got quite the education with that bike. Would do it all over again too.
@@SaddleTrampTVThat's awesome, my first bike was gonna be a Honda shadow cuz my girlfriend had one and I thought the same looks like an HD.. but I learned on the Kawasaki my husband taught me to ride on a 550 Kawasaki spectra a year after breaking my back in a car accident like thirty years ago, an awesome little bike really but still doesn't have anything on my ironhead.. it really surprises me that my hubby has the issue he has since he had her dialed in to start on the first kick, even after different tear downs always ran great when not chocking here and there, but I'm hoping! hopefully the scotch Brite will do the trick or something along those lines maybe hopefully! I'm excited to be back on mine since 2011 when it needed work I was raising kids so in 2012 told my hubby not to worry bout I was to exhausted to ride because of the colon cancer in 2013.. but kids grown cancer free and hitting her hard, 30 days give or take because it's been done before and will again!
@@GKnee72 In the end the scotch brite was only a temporary bandaid fix. Eventually I discovered that the timing was way off and it had too big of a main jet in the carb. It's running an S&S Super E now with a .031 slow jet and a .064 main. Runs pretty solid now.
I will probably not meet you in my life,,I think you are a wonderful person but
Lol
Who knows?
I wish Honda still made a decent sized Shadow.
But those old Harleys? Y'all must be a glutton for punishment. I see a lot of cool bike comments on here, but how many ride an old cantankerous bike? Not me. I'm not into the Ride Repair Repeat style.
Chopped up
