  • A brief look at Peter Hardy's layout from the West Midlands group.
As a background, the railways was originally part of the narrow gauge railway built by the 19th century industrialist Willson Henry, linking the small villages and hamlets in the area. Today, Norton Heath is a busy village which rapidly expanded in the 1950s,providing easy commutes to Leicester and Derby. The railway now enjoys a prosperous existence welcoming visiting locos from many similar lines.
Peter passed away in August. This video is a small tribute to his modelling. Rest in Peace.
