42:15 is the losing moment. Grubby reveals that there is an obs and a sentry ward right there in the middle of the screen, but does not pay attention and turns back. The team then starts fighting without killing the wards which eventually leads to 42:59. He still should have played patiently and not moved forward, but that obs&sentry could have been dead and they would not know where grubby was to gank him before he died.
For Coaches to get into 'player perspective' is impossible. The lazy path is to double click the hero icon and it will follow the hero, not the same but when watching a friend play as a 'coach' is freeing your hands for ... stuff. I think that Lion did Q/E/E build into Q/Q/R/Q (great build when facing two melee heroes for constant harassment), but mixed it with one point of Hex, due to constant fights and the need of extra disable. Which is far from terrible considering the circumstances. But Quinn's reaction at 2/1/2 build was hilarious!
i dont understand the skillbuild for Clinkz Grubby uses. Why not pick a point in E early? At least make the enemy buy sentries/dust. Why max burning barrage first? How many times did he use skill 1 in the first 10 mins? Why not max searing arrow first? Level 1 barrage is merely 15% lower dmg, just higher cooldown, and auto applies your level 4 searing arrow. I dont get this build, i understand some guides recommend this and Grubby has had reasonable success with it, but i dont get it. Pls explain Grubster!
Well, I don't know for his reason but can tell you about my experience with other players. The build is great when you are ahead, manage to build Maelstrom at a reasonable time and with both (Maelstrom and Burning Barrage) can clear stacked neutral camps with easy, catapulting the advantage even more and allowing you to start getting easy kills in the middle parts of the game. What unexperienced players tend not to do is adapt. When having hard time in the early game, what you said make sense as it gives a bit more advantages in the early parts of the game. On the opposite side - if take E and max W every time, even when you are ahead will not allow you to extend early game advantage. That's why coaches tend to advice to focus on few heroes. New players at first start using generic builds and focus on other aspects of the game, when they start understanding what's happening and the dynamics of certain heroes and position - they usually start adapting their builds for the needs and expectation of the specific game.
quinn is a terrible coach hes far too nice, gives Grubby way too much credit, he needs a bully to abuse him, Quinn's like "ohh yeh, that happend. its ok" bring back BSJ to yell at you xD
Few friends of mine are just like that. In their world every single game there are always at least 1 or 2 smurfs, hackers and boosters in their games. In reality - when I check the games - they have no more than 1 every 20-30 games. In the game of DotA is easy to snow-ball from a good start, and when the hero's kit allows burst down enemies it can easily get out of control. How often have we all seen middle starting with few kills in the middle and ends the game with score of more than 25 kills and less than 4 deaths. Immediately he is 'something', and those pointing fingers forgot of their games where they were the one being in the fortunate position.
@@dtibvgz8441 I agree. To add to that, this is something we all have to be aware to and adjust our playstyle to. When someone is ahead and we keep feeding them, it might not always be the initial feeder that is at fault, but we - ourselves - too
something just inherently makes me puke in my mouth when i see anyone walk up in lane with 0 regen and bunch of unfinished components, god that was just awful, then again quinn gives the OK so what do i know i guess ha ha
Unfinished items give more bonuses than the recipts in general. The approach to balance is that Item Slot is valued into the price. Example - Magic Wand Recipe it gives +1 Primary Stats (in comparison to components) and +10 charge capacity for 150 gold. The charge capacity is usually not that valuable early in the game, so players are basically paying that gold for +1 stats and freeing 2 slots. Same for many other items. Having sustain is needed only in lanes where it will matter. Sometimes you wish to save for a bigger sustain item, other times you can fetch it fast enough if the enemy doesn't have burst power at lower levels or at all. From a player with experience in DotA1, where you had less slots and shared courier with your team - currently is much more convenient to get it later with just a single Tango and expecting my game sense to make me fare it in time. With some heroes I even skip consumables at all, but that's related to playstyle as well as rushing past them for a cheap sustain items.
We are on the exact opposite of the spectrum bro. When i see someone walk in lane with a completed wraith band I immediately assume he is max crusader.
hey i didnt tell anybody to complete wb right out the gate, but you do realize grubby didnt even complete wb at any point of the game... if thats what u guys are nitpicking, thats kinda weird i could also nitpick that because of his lack of regen he wouldnt have died unnecessarily that 1 time he got gone on, i obviously can see that he is against a kill lane and no amount of regen early game is going to prevent his 5 deaths afterward, im just saying its a terrible habit to have since this isnt his first time doing it
@@-grumpygold1155 the stat items are for laning phase last hitting and trading. The Wraith just slows down his better items (ie Falcon and maelstrom). It's not uncommon to buy these items then not complete them.
Its rough to watch him play, thinkin that he is a pro player in WC3. His spacial awareness is so far off a lot of the time. It seems like he is sleeping man. There is some sense of urgency missing. there's so many nuances in the game so don't be too harsh on him.. He's literally just a beginner. Some people took YEARS to reach Archon, he did it in a couple of months. He'll be fine. Y'all are too enthusiastic that it's not realistic. I dare u to practice WW3 and 1v1 him lets see who'll win?
bro he literally started playing few months ago its like expecting a begginer guitar player to shred right away after playing violin for 10 years he became legend in just few months if he keeps playing like this for few years he will def become ti ready he just need to get hang of the game more hes already very good for the amount of time he had been playing

the losing moment was when Invoker went mid lane. It was hopeless. Grubby was basically the only dmg dealer.
The absolute lack of map awareness in these games is so hard to handle...
just finished the drow coaching when you mentioned doing one more with clinkz haha

The invoker did not tp once in all those times you guys were getting dove upon, even though he noticed it due to all the missed sunstrikes.

it's ironic as quinn is known for being loud and toxic i guess it's different when he's coaching. i would've loved to see ammar coach grubby
