I can't put a finger on it but this is still my favorite Nitro video. The helicopter looked spectacular and Colin was flying his absolute best. The smoke, the crowd was into it and Colin was really just plain showing out. That Raptor had explosive power also. The 1st RC Heli that I saw as a teen was a Raptor 30 and I was in complete awe of it. The young then mechanic at the local welding shop still there today had that Raptor 30 at work one day when me and my dad stopped into to get welding rods and switch out oxygen and acytelene tanks.
This my favorite Nitro vid! Its crasy how Thunder Tiger went from a machine like this and the Raptor 90 to not even being available in the US now after being such a major contender for 30 years. I guess everybody and there brother has a new model available these days and folks have to try them.
Helis of today are too bloated. Lighter helis just fly better! Not to mention cheaper to run, more economical or able to run lighter batteries..this was a great flight. Glad it was captured for the memories.
