A better way to boost a vehicle is connect the cables and let the boost vehicle run for 5 or 10 minutes to allow the dead vehicle to charge its own battery from the boost vehicle if possible. (doesn't work for a battery that is faulty but great if you leave your lights or radio on). This way you are not relying on hundreds of amps flowing threw the jumper cables when starting as it can draw from the partially charged battery as well as the boost battery. This way it doesn't matter how small of a car you have to boost with or small booster cables that can't handle the large current.
I had one in the past and it lasted about 2 years. Just worried about spending a good chunck of change on some Chinese junk and it not lasting. But yes it is on my list of things to buy. Thanks for watching!
@@stumpnc It's the reason I've been recommending this one for years now. It's hard to find one that actually works, much less last. I think mine lasted so long because I almost never used it's wall charger. It works by itself so well that for things like my MF135 diesel, or the big cat 460 backhoe, I stopped trying to keep batteries in them, and just used it when I needed to use them. And just let it recharge via whatever it was in.

Pickup a Booster Pac ES5000... $130some bucks and will jump start the earth... Mine lasted for 10 years.
