EDIT: Having reviewed the small subset of comments complaining, I chose to change the title. It was originally "Instant Autocrafting is Completely Useless" Having read it like a gazillion times, its meaning was clear to me, but i understand how quickly brushing over it can lead you to misinterpret it as ragebait. Sorry for the irritation. (Edited as of Oct28th)
OLD PINNED COMMENT: It seems to be a pretty common misunderstanding: I don't think crafters are useless. I think using them in the context that I spent the entire video doing is useless. To restate, crafters are beyond easy to pipeline, and intentionally not doing so is a waste of time and energy, and only looks cool and is funny. The title has always said "Instant Autocrafting is completely useless", and its pretty clear what instant means in this context if you watch the video lol

Imma just say that that saying "instant autocrafters are useless" is just not correct. Sorry for sounding like a dick, but I'm not going to ride yours like everyone else seems to be doing.
Instant autocrafting is incredibly useful for saving time on very, very large builds as well as making extremely fast resource generation in general.
It's not completely useless, and anyone with common sense would know that.

Also, `/weather clear` actually just sets a constant timer to re-enable rain after, causing it to rain more frequently than normal. If you want weather to end and then only reactivate after its natural time, do `/weather rain 1` so that the rain stops "naturally" after one tick.

If the instant crafter produced 3 items when the normal crafter produced 1, by the time the instant crafter crafts 100 items, the normal crafter will have crafted 98. Hardly a difference, and that difference isn't worth the extra effort since it get proportionally smaller and smaller the longer its run.

What if you make a cycle of 4 crafters where the last one meets the first one and make the recipe of iron ingot to block and iron block to ingot alternatively?
I think that it should cycle the items and make it delocalised throughout the crafters.

I want to make an auto-crafting machine that converts shulker boxes full of iron blocks, and shulker boxes full of TNT, and converts it all into absurd amounts of TNT minecarts.
It needs to produce these minecarts at least at a rate of 5 per second, which then immediately get dispensed onto a minecart rail.
(faster than 5 per second would require more than one dispenser)
The machine needs to be super small and super simple, such that it could be built it in very little time, by *anyone,* at any location.
This would also make it easily dismantlable in no time, leaving no trace.
TNT minecarts (minecarts) are unstackable, so this machine would make transporting absurd amounts of TNT minecarts more practical.

I feel like with the autocrafters "instant" state right now, it may be possible to create a form of item duplication. Will it last? No, but it'd be interesting how the crafting and uncrafting stage could potentially give more items.

That tnt minecart crafter actually has some uses in flying tnt machines.
The thing with normal tnt is that it doesn't explode instantaneously when hitting the floor, it is timed and may explode too late or too early. Tnt minecart solves that problem but it doesn't stack so you can't have a lot in dispensers.
Then comes in autocrafter, if say you have the ingredients in a dropper or whatever dispense it to an autocrafter to autocraft it on the spot, then you have 9x more storage than when you have a single dispenser.

Imagine if you could push it with pistons. Then you could have a system that hot swaps pieces in the chain the make different items. Want to make ladders? How about swapping one input to get iron and make rails instead? It may not be “useful” but it would be freaking cool!

What happens if you have two crafters facing each other, one with 9 iron ingots, the other with a block of iron, and simultaneously 0-tick them in opposite directions. Would they both craft an item and insert it into the crafter in front of them simultaneously and thus return to the same state as before?

Theoretically, could you make a flying machine that only needs a few chests of both sand and gunpowder connected to an auto crafter? It should make a tnt bomber. I know you can make one without the new crafter, but still? I play bedrock, so we have movable tile entities

  • @KingOfMadnesss
    @KingOfMadnesss 8 месяцев назад +1

The crafter can be very useful in some redstone builds. I'm not sure if the infinite tnt glitch is patched but you can make something similar to that using the crafter if you have allot of sand and gunpowder. If you're in the nether and want allot of netherite, you can make a build which will repeatedly craft tnt (using the crafter) and launch it at the netherrack to make it easier to find netherite. This video has to be bait, right?

  • @Wyld1one

It does do something different than dispenser when going from iron bricks to iron cubes and back. It can eject 9 iron bricks at the same time in one click.
Also say you are packing up a lot of blocks to put into an inventory. You can make the minecart, chest and shoulder box. Three items that normally can't be stacked and hard to store.
Furthermore see you have a boot dock. Not only can you craft the boats but you can also collect the broken boat parts and recraft it again.
Now I wonder if Mojang is going to come up with a un-crafter/recycler (?)
