Fox was your first car, mine was Sand Scorcher and cool you built kit with you dad. I had to wait until I was at work to buy it and built it on my own. Our knowledge was less in the early days as there was no internet help, so we had to work all out. The chassis looks good not too scratched up, apart from where you expect it to be. Looking forward to updates and then a run.
Great ramble, Nick! And of course what a cool buggy you got! I'll definitely be looking out for your updates, see what you do with it, especially see that nice flame paint job there, it's a nice design! I had never actually heard of the RC10 back in the day, so I only just got familiar with it a few years ago. I am lucky enough my neighbour has one, and I drove it once, it was nice. I intend to get me one at some point, we'll see when... For now, I'll watch yours, and all the clear ones we'll start seeing on videos soon, ha ha...
We are all going to be sick of the clear ones! That car is really going to be the 2024 equivalent of that 45th anniversary 934 Porsche that was just everywhere.
I’ve always wanted an rc10 gold pan. I had a chassis when I was a kid but never got the rest of the pieces to put one together. Someday I’ll get one.. that futaba system is a great radio setup, although I’d use an esc vs a mechanical speed control.. way cool buddy
Team associated is selling the original RC10 gold pan body if you want a factory body shell. Unfortunately no decals included. Also white ball ends for the gold pan RC10 in stock at team associated. Just a heads up..
Nice Rc10! There is a lot of history on that buggy. Depending on what Gold Pan you have will reflect the price you paid. With a box and instructions, you probably paid a premium. Try and keep everything together including those bag of parts. They could have had to find original parts.
I’ve already stripped it apart. It’s an A stamped dark gold Cadillac chassis. The box is 1986 Cadillac so I’m assuming that box and chassis have always been together. It’s in pretty good shape. It’s missing some screws/bolts. God knows where I’ll find those here in Japan
Congrats on adding a couple icons to your fleet, Nick. Have fun reliving those old 80's memories as you build up your Novafox.
Very nice brother!… can’t wait to see it cleaned up and running! 🤜🤛
Great purchase and it's a gold pan. Looking forward what you'll do with it.
I’ve stripped it down this afternoon. A stamped chassis. It’s in pretty good condition

The chassis is pretty perfect for what I want, just scratches, it hasn’t been attacked with a drill like so many of them.
@@thebandit1974 You was lucky, second hand can be so risky with some buys.

Thanks. They don’t post to japan unfortunately.

@thebandit1974 if you are looking for a part, let me know. I have a few bags of parts
@@JoevsRc good call on the bag of parts. The missing screws are all in there.
Because oof you I am now on ebay lol Thanks for sharing with us
Rc10 or fox? Most of the cost of my RC10 was postage to Japan. Lots of the available in the US.
