Loved building and racing my M05. Its a great chassis. To be honest, I like all the M Chassis sized stuff. Will be doing a video of all mine soon hopefully. It is a shame that Tamiya don't do the Mini body and accessories any more, so many would buy them. The L&L bodies are good but the moulded grill etc isn't as good as the chrome plastic grill etc.
The M05 is a really fun little car to drive! Best of luck in finding the parts you need to get the mini body sorted. I know that stuff is seriously hard to find.
You could have got the L&L models Tamiya M05 Mini Kit, as it comes with the shell, bearings, ESC and motor and servo too, for only £135 which is a good deal for the UK?
Just a heads up! The M05 is a few mm longer than the M03 so many (all?) of the official and non official Mini Cooper bodies don’t quite fit. I’m running the Phat Bodies Mini body on my M05 and it’s just barely acceptable with some rake (rear jacked up a couple of notches). The generic 1/10 “Hella” round fog lights can be used for both the main fogs and by affixing them to the inside of the body (prior to paint!) they can replicate headlight buckets too. I use Molitow chrome marker for the reflective surface of the bucket. Not sure if any of that is helpful! Good luck!

I will do my best with it. Think I still have a couple of weeks to wait for the back order of stuff though.
Nice project ✌ Impossible not to love the old Mini (especially with the Monte Carlo livery). Good luck on sourcing the needed bits 👍🤝
Yeah will have to see what’s out there. Saw a grill for £75.00 on eBay. Not paying that though.
Awesome car. Thanks for showing. The NSUs're very popular in racing back in thoses days. You'll probably find a lot input on the internet.
Thank you. Hopefully it will be a fun chassis

I’m finding that out about the parts!

I will have to take a look. Thank you.
