Argenio, Yes, make sure the battery is disconnected. Bolt down the module. Plug it back up. Then once you're done working with the airbag system, re-apply the batter power to the vehicle.
Most dealers and shops don't change them if they are not physically damaged, meaning they don't have cracks or visible damage, they don't need to be replaced. If they are bad, you will get it in the error code.
My steering wheel airbag went off,I wasnt wearing my seatbelt its not locked up ...i have an airbag light on though do i need to replace sensors and airbag and module?...And how much is it
Cyrus, If you are referring to the impact sensor? If the impact sensor is not damaged, then you should be ok and do not need to replace it. If for some reason you do, our help article should help: help.myairbags.com/hc/en-us/articles/360001391787-MyAirbags-How-to-Change-SRS-Impact-Sensors
Marco, If the module is reset here at myairbags.com and it is the original module going back into the original vehicle, light will go out (as long as all the other deployed parts are replaced and connected correctly). Great question. Thank you!
Yes I have a 2012 Ford f150 four-wheel drive I put another radio in it aftermarket and I had to take the front airbag out I disconnected the battery but when I put everything back together now my airbag light is on😊 court before scan that's on the passenger side do you have any idea what's the matter😮
Just need to use a scanner to clear the code. If a vehicle is in an accident, then using a scanner will not work because of crash history and crash data that needs to be cleared. MyAirbags.com can clear crash history and crash codes.
My f150 was in an accident and is a salvage rebuilt, sadly I failed the test due to the airbag light don’t show up and go off after turning on the truck. They told me the truck does not has headliner airbags but I checked them and it does has airbags. What’s should I do to bring that light back on?
Raul, If the light doesn't turn on at all when you start the truck, that sounds like someone may have disabled the lamp for the airbag light inside the instrument cluster.
My 2013 F150 has never been in an accident. My air bag light comes on for a few seconds and then off. a few more seconds and the light comes on steady. Do you think I have to send in my module, or both my model and seat belts. I have no idea way the light has come on. Thank you,Ed

Do I have to take it to a Ford Dealership to get the module connected to my truck because I bought one off of eBay after mine was damaged during the accident and don’t know if I need to go to a dealership to get it connected and then send it to you guys?
Bryan, as long as the used/new module is good and has the same exact part number as your original module, it can be programmed to your car. You can avoid all those potential issues by having your original module reset. We are here to help if you need: www.myairbags.com/product-category/repair-return/airbag-module-reset/
I removed my seats completely and when I put then back in the air bag light came on, do I need to send the module to you guys ??? There is no damage anywhere whatsoever
In this case, just have your airbag system scanned and pull the codes. The trouble code will let you know why the light is on. You can reply back on here with the code as well and we can help interpret it. Thanks!
So I have a 2004 F150 and I got T-boned on the passenger side a week ago. the airbags did not deploy, the engine was still running after impact so I pulled over and shut the truck down. ever since then it won't turn over it, wants to but it won't . Would these sensors have anything to do with that? Also NO, M.I.L. lights are on
Bernard, The airbag module/computer shouldn't be the issue on your Ford. Its probably something else. If you find the solution, you are welcome to reply here in case someone had the same problem.
The first step is to diagnose the airbag light. Hook up the scan tool / scanner to the car and read the airbag codes. You connect the scan tool right into the OBD port/plug. Its usually located below the steering wheel, on the left. You are welcome to reply to us with the trouble code that it reads.
My Airbags thank you for your response, I just saw this message. I tried that but I guess my scan tool is only for check engine lights.. it’s not reading no codes.... today when I went to drive the car the air bag light was off... seems like when it rains it wants to go on and off
I have a 2016 F150 with the Airbag light on as well. Ford will not let you reset the Airbag light, so you will have to take it to the dealership. I took mine over there yesterday and they said there was something burned or shorted out and they had to order the parts. Good news is that they are covered under the restraining system warranty.
I have a 2017 Ford F150 Supercrew with code B1415:93-8B "Driver Side Restraints Sensor 3" additional info is "No operation". Can you tell me where sensor 3 is located?
On that vehicle, it should be on the radiator support. Theres an article on this one in our MyAirbags.com Help Center: myairbags.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360001391787-How-to-Change-SRS-Impact-Sensors
What is the turn around time? How quickly will I receive my parts back? Just wanted to let all the novices out there know, to unplug the plugs, you have to get a small thin screwdriver or knife and lift up on the orange button. I will come all the way out if you are not careful, but it doesn't matter, then you can unplug the tiny plugs.
Sunsettvu, once orders arrive here we ship them back out within 24 hours. Return shipping typically takes around 2-3 days. Here is a link to our site to start: www.myairbags.com
do you have a video for a Lariat with the shifter in the middle console?
No, not yet.
I just got my module back from you guys. Do I simply reverse the steps to put it all back together?
Argenio, Yes, make sure the battery is disconnected. Bolt down the module. Plug it back up. Then once you're done working with the airbag system, re-apply the batter power to the vehicle.
When the drivers air bag was deployed, does the crash sensor need to be replaced?

can a used air bag be used to replace the blown one?
yes if it is a good airbag then it should be no problem

I was told today by someone who resets airbag modules and he said in a 2009 ford f150 they can't be reprogrammed. Is that true?
We reset these airbag control modules every day. Check out myairbags.com
