These guys had me rolling in laughter with this on. Im proud to call these guys hyung. We need more guys in the korean-american community we can look up to.
My favorite restaurant is Burma Superstar. I live in Oakland, CA. Thank you for this podcast. I've been wondering about chef's new restaurant in Vegas & his thoughts on Anthony Bourdain's passing. It was super light and easy to watch.
shit thanks for addressing the tension amongst neighboring groups in Ktown. I'm from Oakland and that issue means a lot to me, how there be tension amongst colored groups but at the same time we all hold it down together against gentrification. Can't go wrong with Burma Superstar here in Oakland!
You guys make me especially proud to be Korean today, lol. Love Roy Choi and come back to Toronto, Dumb! These other two guys on the podcast were also very entertaining.
One of my many favs. Probably a top fav so far due to an issue I had little info on and loving the updates about Vegas (can't wait to see the new restaurant!) Much needed! Gotta dispel the ignorance and cultural insensitivity. Look forward to more podcasts! And yeah....get Awkie!🙌🔥
Lunch Box I do remember his old school interviews but I wanted a update interview. She has been doing a lot since that interview so it would be cool for a catch up interview
Yo, Phil had some great questions, and I feel like I got to know so much about both the (new) guests and how their backgrounds got them where they are. All of these interviews have been straight fire. Keep it up, Dumb! Love from Korea
YUP, I get what you mean about Chinese Take Outs in NY vs CA. A huge Chinese egg roll and a can of soda was my one of my favorite afternoon snack growing up in Queens. AND you were so cute trying to backpedal on knowing how to make Korean rice...:-) Watch my video recipe on how to make Korean rice 101 and you can school everyone next time! AND thanks for sharing Roy with us. FUN POD!
I know I'm late to the game, but I really liked this episode! Not for contest's sake, but I'm in Austin and next time you're here, definitely try Chilantro! They have a food truck that roams around and a few standing restaurants, but they're my absolute favorite. Korean-Mexican fusion, you gotta try the Kimchi Fries! Much love xx can't wait to catch a show next time you come to Austin, saw you at Stubbs and it was my favorite show of the year.
Los Angeles! Couldn't choose one so I got 3: El Chato Taco Truck, Boo's Philly Cheesesteaks, Kang Ho Dong Baekjeong (The Koreatown edition not just because it's the LA OG, but because the newer locations got vents over each table to get rid of the smoke from the grill. I enjoy secondhand Korean BBQ smoke. Stay lit)
San Francisco Bart Grocery! It’s a convenience store but a Korean couple also cooks some of the best Korean food you can find in the bay. The definition of hole in the wall.
Roy Choi straight said Del Taco! Lol that's the spot right there. Recently I drove through Barstow and a friend told me to stop at the original Del Taco... Said it was insanely legit. So I did right?! Someone wanna tell me why why still Rollin with the original menu!? Burritos and tacos were crazy stuffed with the goodness! I was so surprised. Kinda ruined all the other del tacos for me.
