So my e91 318d lci n47 engine just sayed bye bye. I bought an m57 from a e90, and everything from a 330d e90. I'm just struggling with the wiring cuz the m57 ecu is a dde 7 and the n47 was a ecu dde 8. Any wiring tips?

Lukas, thank you for kind words, best option is buy a pre lci 330d / 325d E9x donor car, will make wiring a lot easier. Wiring is all under the hood, but does also require some coding, not too bad, but you will need to do things like cas module etc.
Because I prefer M57’s and a lot of enthusiasts agree the alpina D3 should have used an M57 engine! I much prefer this car as an M57 3.0d personally, proper set of brakes to go with it, drives 100x better than it did before 👍
This may seem weird but can you send me the part number for the rear end of the engine cover. I’ve looked online but the diagrams have a different style front piece and I’m not sure if it would match. The front piece I have is just like the one you have on your engine.
@@taoufik33 Alpina D3 pre facelift came with M47, and I have replaced it with an M57 single turbo yes. The facelifts came with N47 which was Bi-Turbo 👍

Did you need to change your dash clocks after the swap or does the rev counter cope
i think you should also swap EPS from e90, handling would be much better and easier with it, considering the weight on the front increased

Why didn’t you just use another 320d engine and rebuild it back to a proper Alpina !
