    Got two 2x12 predrilled board with a fresh 6x6 post in between. Have to drill straight through the post to match up the holes in the two boards. This helps a bunch. Thank you!

      Hello, totally respect your opinion and you probably know better way or have the proper tool. This method worked great for me with what I had. The pipe I put for a hinge is dead on level. I always try to look at the end result and if it worked. I am always willing to learn new and old tricks to be easier and proper. Take care and respect your comment, Tony

      @@Thermohybrid If you like a sloppy, inaccurate result, that's fine. If you want a better one, you could use a drill press to drill a hole in a block of wood that you clamp to your work as a drill guide. If you want the best result you could use a Mafell drill guide.
