@@iamstoffe Nah they topped off the coolant and the light came back on. These cars are famous for having the cooling reservoir crack, as well as one of the pipes coming out of the cooling reservoir leak out. Happens on my e46 too but I barely drive it so I haven't dealt with it yet
E36's are more reliable than 46's
@@kingofohio5689 dunno, its from car to car. I have my 325i since 2009 and im changing just brakes, replaced upper hose and water pump 8 years ago. 400 000km on the clock.

@@NorthBorders The E46 is a legend. I have one too, the 320d, 2004 year model. I love it just because it is not an hight tech futuristic space shuttle like the cars now a days. It's from those times when you driven the car and not the car driven you.

@@machmutdoener Most people are extremely bad at craigslist style haggling, and extremely bad at knowing anything about car mechanics/values. And maybe they live in a city and make a lot of money. $800 might seem a bit to u, but to a person making $250k/yr he simply "needs it gone". Just parking the thing, keeping the tags & insurance current can be a huge cost.
*)He could've gotten a $5k dealership repair bill quote on it, and so thinks $1200 is a lot for a car that needs $5k repairs
*)The negotiating couldve been staged for the camera, and they haggled off-camera from $1k and settled on $1200

I'm not that into cars but after finding your channel I've been really inspired to do some car photography! My brother and dad are car addicts with around 20 cars between them and my dad has one of these haha, might as well use them!

wouldn't pay more than that for a 318i. even without leaks. Maybe that's just because they are cheap here in Belgium. Bought my e39 523i years ago for 1700, and my e36 compact full option for 1200 and everything works on them

Awesome video, love your car photography videos. I do have a suggestion for a future video although it may be a challenge. I would love to see you create the same video using a classic car or a resto-mod. Something from the 60's or 70's classic Aussie car, especially if you can get your hands on a resto-mod. I am interested in seeing the location you chose to suit such a car and what would you do differently as opposed to shooting a modern vehicle. Keep up the great work. Thanks, Chris

Most car guys/gals get into cars at a very young age. Photographing them from a low angle always reminds me of being a kid and seeing them from that perspective. It always seems to be the most interesting and emotionally connective.
