These kinda challenges are really fun to watch and motivational. I've been shooting for like 7 years now with my shit lil d3400 nikon and I've wanted to upgrade forever but the money just ain't there. That being said being forced to keep pushing myself on the same old camera has really forced growth as I find I have to push myself that much harder for the quality I look for. I've managed portraits, car photography, motorsport, street and it's really awesome to see what putting the time in can do, even with a small budget.
that's how i started man! Keep pushing yourself with what gear you have, if you can use a cheap camera to its maximum ability the upgrade will feel that much better once you've gotten yourself a better rig 👌

Mike, epic vid bro! For me it's all bout how you know what you want and are able to direct the driver to put the car in the position to fit that vision. That's something that can only come with practice. Amazed at that little Pentax's output though

It does help to have some experience with that hey! it's just like directing a model, and it's a skill to be able to work with the driver, especially when they've never been on a photoshoot before 🤣

@@NorthBorders I've been attempting to secure insurance for my gear, but alas, they'll only cover the camera itself, not the sublime glass. Thus, I'll need to put aside some funds. In the meantime, I plan to procure a rental. You see, I've got some innovative concepts I'm itching to experiment with.

Started shooting photos 2 1/2 years ago with a used Nikon D5200. Still using it and it’s rivaled camera body’s 10x the price of mine ( got it used for 150 ). When people say it’s the photographer not the camera it really is true. I’ve learned my camera inside and out and because of some of the pitfalls like it slightly struggling in low light it’s forced me to adapt and become a better photographer.
amazin' ya came up with those with that ol' camera, the artistic eye wins again. not that Hayden's were bad, still had some nice ones. 👏 enjoyed the vid🍻

11:31 As a non-photographer I acutally disagree, I think the backdrop is not ugly at all, it's cool architecture. The windows, the wood, the ceiling lights. Yeah it grabs your focus instead of the car but I don't mind it. Really like the photo, I'd be super proud of it. Lighting is insane.

I think it would’ve been cleaner if you had removed the two white pillars on the right and left + kept only two lights on the top left corner only and remove all the light in between the pillars + reflection light on the left side.

This was such a good video 😂first of I LOVE the Aston Martin DBS. Absolute dream car lol. Secondly I think this proves no matter the camera you have is all about the skill and who is behind the camera more than how expensive it is lol.
