      Is it unlikely? Maybe. Is it really even beef? Would you say that genocide is causing "beef"? Either your humanity comes out for victims of mass criminal actions or it doesn't. Beef is a word for arguments between parties, but I have no beef with dictatorships. I have a human reaction of sympathy for those who suffer under them, and complete rejection for those who give legitimacy to said dictatorship. Such as imagine dragons. By "Protect" they mean hiding under the civilian areas so when Israel goes to Airstrike said location both the terrorists and unfortunately also the civilians die. This is a tactic that Hamas uses to villainize Israel and clearly it unfortunately worked.     As a genocide-denier Turk who loves SOAD and hates Imagine's music;
    1: Would Serj tell the same things to Imagine Dragons if they wanted to perform in Armenia? He draws the line at where countries commit genocides, or kill civilans, Armenia committed the Hojalu Massacre. I don't mean artists or bands shouldn't perform in Armenia, they should, just like they should in Azerbaijan and Turkey too.
    2: Wars happen. Karabaq was once owned by the Azerbaijani (Turkic) - Perso empire Safavids and taken by Armenia long after. Now it's taken back from Armenia. Too bad wars happen, I wish everyone lived in peace but sometimes that's just not the case.
    3: During the Karabaq war, more crimes got committed by Armenia and not Azerbaijan. 3 years ago during the war, according to the reports a 16 year old boy who came to his cousins' village to help them harvest their fruits got killed by an Armenian bomb shooted from an Armenian cannon. In the video of a Turkish youtuber who visited Azerbaijan during the war called "Azerbaycan-Ermenistan Cephe Hattına Gittik (TV'de Göremeyecekleriniz!)" at the end of the video he shows everything you need to see about what happened. In the 13th minute you can see his blood all over the leaves and the ground. He was an innocent boy who never attended the war and lived far away from the battlefield. You may not understand the language but you'll see everything you need to if you watch the video.
    4: At this point SOAD became what they hated. They use their art for their own diplomatic ideas. If you listened to any SOAD interview where they talk about worldwide diplomatics you will see they want peace only. If you listen to the song BYOB their ideas about wars is really clear. But when it comes to the Karabaq war, they suddennly want Armenia to win, make a video for the song "Protect the land" praising their soldiers and their side of the war and collect donations for their army to win.
    It would be much more SOAD-like if they made a song about how the both sides needed peace rather than making a song supporting and praising a side.
    5: As well as Protect the land, Genocidal Humanoidz is a song where they talk about us Turks calling us devils. The problem is not only they are calling us devils rather than talking about the problems the "genocide" caused, they literally made a song about a historical topic that is STILL to this day historians and politicians didn't decide if it really happened or didn't.
    As I said I love SOAD's art and I wish it kept on, but at this point there is no reason for me or anyone to support SOAD about anything anymore. Serj calles John Dolmayan a hypocrite but they are all hypocrites. I wish they decided to seperate their art and diplomatic ideas.

      I must say about the 3rd one, you're right.
      But my point is not "Armenia committed more war crimes, so go perform in Azerbaijan and not in Armenia". I mean Serj Tankian wouldn't open his mouth if Imagine Dragons performed in Armenia after lots of war crimes they committed.
      I can't say anything about how I can't expect anyone to believe that Armenia committed more crimes than Azerbaijan.
      What I meant by "You'll see everything you need to" was not everything you need to know about the crimes committed. I meant you'll see everything about the murdered boy.
      And I don't want anyone to believe that Armenia committed more crimes because I said so.
      My point is that those cannons don't move around so quickly and change targets. Those cannons were conitiously pointed at civilians and villages. It's not like a soldier randomly decided to shoot a village and turned the cannon back at the enemy soldiers after shooting once. They kept shooting villages 24/7.

    When you constantly say "Genocide" you are actually becoming the boy who cried wolf. First of all, that land doesn't even belong to Armenia. Armenia occupied Azerbaijan's Karabagh region for 30 years. When they first attack to occupied the land, they committed actual genocide against Azerbaijani's in Khojaly and Susha. They are still finding mass graves in Khojaly even today. Azerbaijan finally liberated their own land, recognized by UN recently. And they allowed Armenians to go back Armenia peacefully. There is no genocide there is only slander.
    When they constantly saying this, they are actually insulting people who are suffering real genocide like in Palestine, Rwanda etc. There is no evidence of any of that happened to Armenians. I know the haters will fly into this comment now trying to make a point, dude just go there and see it yourself. I've been there, there is no genocide.

    • @TunchellisMemories
      @TunchellisMemories 7 дней назад

      And on another note, SOAD have a fan base in Turkey, you know the country the band constantly disses and claims they committed genocide against Armenians. In early 2000's one of the biggest festival organizations in TR approached them to offer to have a show in TR. Obviously the band wasn't fan of the idea and they initially refused it. The guy who owns the shows, brought Michael Jackson, Metallica etc, to TR. He is the guy when a big band comes to Turkey for a gig. He is very rich and he is very influential. The guy offered SOAD a ridiculous amount of money, millions of dollars for one show after they declined the first offer. Guess what, SOAD accepted! All that high moral talk just disappears when it comes to money eh?
      Then the guy actually cancelled on SOAD and made a public announcement in TR, exposed their true face. Their brand is about hating Turks but when it comes to money they suddenly loved Turks and agreed on having a show there. He said he doesn't want to pay them a cent and he would have respect them if they didn't accept his offer at all. He just made his point and SOAD never had a show in TR.
      Ofcourse you can't find these in internet anywhere. Since TR doesn't fit the narrative of super awesome Judeo-Christian centric world, anything like this gets cencored right away. In short, money talks and all those values, activism etc dissappears when it comes to money.
      Same reason mr Serj likes Maduro but don't like Aliyev lol maybe Aliyev should offer couple of million dollars to him too

I mean if they have many reasons to go to that certain country I wouldn't mind it that much, but since serj is Armenian; his politics against that country is big news to his people. Unless the band decides to talk to the people and spread awareness (maybe)? But yes I am glad serj came back to make music again and etc, and I'm sure people will be hungry for another album of theirs in SOAD lol. It's just if they had business or a reason to tour therr and that's their business, but going out of your way to berate them for performing there is kinda harsh tbh, I mean if that was me I kind of wish I could spread awareness of that, and be honoured at the same time of the legendary vocalist 😅.
