Agree with you his later music was beautiful! He developed so nicely as a song writer, arranger and producer, that his later work was miles above his earlier work. As for me, everything he released, was absolutely amazing ❤
The context of Spinning The Wheel - Out doing drugs, having unsafe sex… the lyric - “one of these days you’re gonna being somethin’ home to me…” meaning a disease. A very sexy song about the unsexy sides of dangerous living. George had skills writing and producing and his work only got better as time went on. He’s sorely missed now.
@@madeleineglo7696 Yes, the subject matter is about the dark side of gay life. I lived it! I may have even met George on Hamstead Heath living that lifestyle lol If only people knew! What a man! He spoke to us that were like him but never excluded the masses. I mean how can you not like this kind of music never mind the meaning of the lyrics!
Love George Michael. Thanks so much for this reaction ☺. I adore some of his earlier work but, like you, I prefer his later stuff. Such a shame he's gone. Death sucks really.
That's natural. George was 17 / 18 years old (young) when he started Wham! but even here his musical genius comes through. Tunes like "club tropicana", "freedom" "like a baby" or "careless whisper" already have so much class and elegance. The development of his music is also due to his personal evolution.
Saint George was so far ahead of us all. He was pulling out full props always to race diversity, via his his band, and also showing different gender vibes. Plus his voice , an angel singing forevermore. Loving you forever, my brother from another mother. We were both born on June 25. He died on Xmas day, and my mom also. Holy love, beyond space and time. Thanks for reacting to this gem of a wonder🥰
I love this album since 96…he was singing about infidelity about someone playing around catching a disease and bringing back home to him… powerful message with a amazing song
In 2007 I heard his Greatest Hitz Album and it had a huge impact on my heart & soul at that point I was going through a new heartbreak and my cousin gave me his MP3 Player that had George Greatest Hits Album already downloaded.. That album helped me through one of the saddest emotional phases of my life.. It was a midlife crisis in my mid-20’s .. I’ll always be sincerely grateful for Sir George Michaels that greatest hits album helped me survive when I was dying inside and no one seemed to notice nor care..
Whether or not I like George Michael's song I always love his voice, which is unique and beautiful no matter what. I do like this song though...and I loved the video...and the reaction...loved the reaction!
One of my favorite songs by him. There are still so many pearls, even unreleased. For example, My Mother Had A Brother, Through or Precious Box. You recently listened to the song Nothing Looks The Same In The Light from the first Wham album. I would have rather chosen Like A Baby. You would definitely like that song.
George has some really nice music. He could flow with any genre which was one of his greatest gifts, in my opinion. I really like this song and I like the black and white of this video and the dancing.
hi Rosemary, George not only has some nice tunes, he was a musical genius. His lyrics are deep and meaningful and tell a lot about him. Most of his complete work were written, composed and produced by himself. His last three albums (Listen without Prejudice, Older and Patience) are masterpieces. Not to forget his beautiful voice which cannot be compared to anything or anyone else.
@@karinabeck6329 Yes, when I think about it, genius is right. My self and sons have always been George Michael fans. From Wham on to his solo projects. His music is a must in any collection.
I would say that Spinning the wheel is my favourite George song but I can't, there are too many others that I love equally just as much. I listen to George's music every day 💜 George did many duets with other famous artists but my favourite is the duet he did was with Mutya Buena, the song being 'This is not real love' I'd love it if you would give that a listen. There is no official video so better to listen to it from Twentyfive CD release (some of the videos on RUclips miss out the first bit of the song) This song does not get the credit or airplay that it deserves. I miss our beautiful man every single day 💜
The deeply rooted extreme talent of George Michael is astounding. He knew he could change his style and sound of his voice depending what he wanted to tackle. So many different styles you can't put your finger on with George. Other singers throughout their career it's all very similar. Not at all with George. That is the weight of great talent!
George always said that when he was with Wham it was more of just a get famous and have fun thing as his writing started to mature he had to go solo And over time his music matured even more
Really love the elegant jazzy track. Social message that a loose lifestyle can pull others down, not just you. AIDES was a death sentence back then. Your actions are not just your own. Fashion are tight in this video. Loved the Herbie Hancock sample in the last minute. The dancers were also on point! Thanks for selecting and reviewing this. King Peer…
You reacted the Cowboys and Angels a while back which is another amazing song I think one other I can't remember but yeah, the album Older is just amazing you should check it all out
The last shot.. The wheel of the gun.. The roulette wheel.. Playing away and having sex outside the relationship.. Danger and stranger.. One of these days you're gonna bring something home to me.. A deadly disease.. So each time u spin the wheel could potentially be fatal or life limiting gunshot.. To the partner at home.. Great lyrics, clever imagery
I agree. Older is an amazing album, a more mature George who had recently, at the time, gone through hell losing his partner to AIDS which explains this song.
This song was made before the triple cocktail came out and made a HIV diagnosis a controllable disease. Before then, if you got HIV you were likely going to develop AIDS and die. So many did. So, if you were engaging in risky behavior, (unprotected sex) you were not only putting your life at risk, but you could also be putting your partners life at risk.
I moved to London pre Flawless release. I never knew anybody! Other than work I stayed home until I got sick of it and found a nice wee club in Brixton called Sub Station South. I sat in the wings on my own sipping a double vodka and then they played this song, Flawless! I danced like I was the only one in the club and things changed after that. That song means a lot to me!
The gun falls in line with playing Russian roulette with someone else's life by going out and partying and sleeping around and risking bringing home a disease, or other types of danger but it's definitely about taking risks with someone else's life and that partner saying I can't accept this anymore
George is right up there as one of the finest singers ever.
George is one of the best male vocalists of all time! He’s got a silky smooth voice and sings from his soul. Thanks for posting!

Russian Roulette, throwing snake eyes with dice
Exactly only true fans can hear what he is saying.

He is The Matser lyricist
Writing and producing as well as singing…great stuff.
Raising to the top - my favourite tune ever ❤ spinning the wheel my second favourite ❤
Cowboys and Angels is My favorite by George....but all of his music is top notch
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
George Michael solo work was on another level than Wham's more pop sound.

He transcended time and space. A holy healer. Jesus in another cover somehow. Life is mysterious. Love to every one.
He died Christmas Eve but fadi found him Christams day

Check out "You have been loved" and the story behind it.
His album "Older" is a masterpiece.
One of my favourite George Michael songs 👍
Cowboys and Angels and waiting for that day on Listen without prejudice are awesome you would ❤️
Cowboys and angels is amazing. I love praying for time as well

Great eyeball reaction at the close up of the revolver!

great song! "WAITIN FOR THAT DAY" FOR REACTION "AWESOME" SONG. ; )

I NEVER HEARED THIS BEFORE.
Listen to his older album, a soul jazz influenced album released in 1996. A couple of extra tracks like you know you want to and safe are great too.
I agree. Older is an amazing album, a more mature George who had recently, at the time, gone through hell losing his partner to AIDS which explains this song.

You got to react to the album “Older” 1996, i agree u like his older stuff
If you've ever been burnt by gonorrhea, this is your jam.
There is always meaning in Georges songs when he could not sing anymore he also could not live.
He got even better as his career went on. Check out Flawless, it's a banger.

I know u were mixed about Faith album but his next two albums (Listen without predudice” & “Older”) will make u like him!! Trust me
My mother had a brother is not a seperate tune its a line in a tune he wrote.
I was wrong it is a seperate song.
The gun falls in line with playing Russian roulette with someone else's life by going out and partying and sleeping around and risking bringing home a disease, or other types of danger but it's definitely about taking risks with someone else's life and that partner saying I can't accept this anymore
Are you listening to the song or paying more attention to the video? It is an extremely good song. It deserves your attention
Both
@@JustJammin sorry was just kidding😄❤️
Next up should be to be forgiven.
I woud prefer 'you know that i want to' or 'my mother had a brother'.
So true, his later songs are better.
