do you have any other safety gap tips? also, let me know what domino-related topic (not a tutorial though) you'd like me to cover next! I'm really enjoying making these style videos!!
I might be The Only one who has never used a safety gap in his building career xD I am Normally a steady and slow builder, so I normally don’t find me knocking down something by accident, it’s very rare. And even if it gets knocked down, It’s mostly on the starting part of the building process than the end, cuz I am usually a bit shaky at the start, and then very steady. But I feel as I start getting more Dominoes and make bigger setups, Safety Gaps can be really useful, so I think I should starting making it a Habit if adding a few Safety Gaps in my Setups From now on, Thanks for the Video Lily, got a lot of Useful info from this.
Wow that's really interesting. You have a lot of confidence in your building skills, and that's great! I feel like it's usually the opposite with builders: they are shaky at the END and steady at the start. Doesn't hurt to make safety gaps though so I do recommend :)
@@H5dominocommunity Yes I really do have confidence in my building :) Yes I have been trying to make it a habit of late, using safety gaps at areas which are a bit easier to reach.
The safety gap tips were very good and as I told in your last video that I just forget to fill in the safety gaps but with this hacks it will not happen any more. Thank you for this awesome video Domino Creator
A thing that I do to prevent fails is making domino tricks that can't go the other way. For example, you can build a lever trick in between your domino setups. This trick only works in one direction so the whole domino setup will not be ruined if you accidentally topple your setup.
My safety gap tip: Only build structures. Then safety gaps aren’t a thing! 🤣 My most common safety gap is leaving out small to large sets or not loading a launcher. Leaving out a small to large leaves an obvious gap that’s hard to forget. Since I use books for small to large, I’m always a bit nervous about their stability, so they’re usually the last thing to go in. I’ve definitely used tip 10 before when some gaps are too deep in the setup. Sometimes I’ll use rapid tracks instead of tape since they have the same effect, and it can be easier than taking. Also slipping in a rapid track into a gap is often really easy, which is nice for hard to reach spaces. I had no idea about the tape safety gap in the WR circle. That’s really cool! It must have been tedious to set up that tape and peel it off afterwards.
Awesome video! This was really helpful (Especially for me, who is the most clumsy domino builder ever :b). All of the hacks were super relatable and I really appreciate you mentioning the method that you should ALWAYS put something to remind you "hey! you haven't filled in that safety gap!". The only thing that I would not do is the hack mentioned at 5:06, I mean it's not like the method is not good but I am an extremely non-focused builder (yes, I AM that person who accidentally knocks down huge setups because I accidentally throw a domino at them) so even if I do write it, I will forget some sort of gap and it is GUARANTEED that I will forget at least one of 10 gaps. Now I have to say, that tape method is something I am bad at, I put tape on my dominoes in such a bad way that I just never seem to do it perfectly, so when I will remove the tape (because I do that), I can knock down my projects. For all of the hacks at 1:37, 6:12, 2:27, 1:38 and 7:55, they are something I will definitely consider doing! All in all, I'd give this video the title as the ULTIMATE safety gap guide because there's just so much of information about safety gaps here, I just never thought there could ever be things like safety gap plans and writing all of the gaps on a paper! My suggestion for the next one of these domino-related topics will be "the process of planning domino projects". You have talked about it in your Personal Record videos but I would like a whole video about that topic because it is way faster to learn in a 10 minute video! Great work as always :)
This video was really useful to me. This can help my setups a lot. So I won't be afraid the fails of the setup. You did a very fabulous job! Keep on building! :) P.S. If you're making a Rule Goldberg Machine, like using marble tracks or something, you can also put something on the track to make a safety obstacle, instead of making gaps.
I use a safety gap tip in which we don't have to remove dominoes and I use this when I do project with tape trick like when I fill in the Safety gaps I also tape the one of the Domino in the tape trick. And it's super useful to me and also remove 2 or 3 dominoes from both of line in tape trick so it doesn't knock down the whole setup
I usually don't do safety gaps, cause I'm pretty carefull when I setup dominoes, I only create safety gaps depending how shakey I am, but at the end these are very helpful
@@H5dominocommunity yeah, cause sometimes I forget that I had a safety gap and I end up screwing up my project, but it does help, I think one of my videos “20 Years of patience” little backstory to that video, one clip had over 2,500 dominoes in it failed 3 times but I added a lot of tape in that one clip and it was really helpful.
Thankyou mam this was a very helpful video actually it has happened a lot of times by me that I have made a gap in between a huge structure but I forgot to fill it😔 but I guess the stickey note thing will help Thankyou for this helpful video.
Tip number 9 is so meta, but so outside the box too. It would be incredibly frustrating to leave a gap to protect hours or days of building only to discover that you have no way to fill it in at the end.

Leave gaps when having direction changers ( or spinners)
maybe like 10/15 different ways to make your project more interesting?
If there's 2 domino lines that go and topple the right way, it's best to make a thick safety gap. RUclips rules!

Wow
The ones that i use the most is making the gaps in the curves, leaving a 15 dominoes gap (instead of 5 lol) and make the gaps with other objects
Thank you for the tips! You are hilarious yet informative!
sometime I just take out 3 dominoes for safety gap, but forgot to fill it back, but yr hacks is very impressive! You make me more carefully!:)))
Always looking forward to the next video! You really bring me joy
thank you for watching 😀 makes my day to hear that :)
I wish I saw this video before starting my domino egg. Would’ve saved me a few rebuilds.

Hey lily your vids have been amazing 🤩
Hi Lily I've got another way of making a safety gap. My way is by taking out a direction changer in the setup.
I use a safety gap tip in which we don't have to remove dominoes and I use this when I do project with tape trick like when I fill in the Safety gaps I also tape the one of the Domino in the tape trick. And it's super useful to me and also remove 2 or 3 dominoes from both of line in tape trick so it doesn't knock down the whole setup
yay you featured my comment! this is no doubt a helpful video... especially to me lol! can't wait to see more of these! keep it up!

it happens to all of us, unfortunately. silly mistake indeed. yes make a list!! I gotta tell myself that too haha
@@H5dominocommunity yes, thankyou very much
I’ve also seen videos where someone would fill the gap while the dominoes are already falling.
Her: if you have a marble on a track take out the marble
Me: if you have a marble on the track TAKE OUT THE WHOLE TRACK
Tip number 9 is so meta, but so outside the box too. It would be incredibly frustrating to leave a gap to protect hours or days of building only to discover that you have no way to fill it in at the end.

Safety Gaps!
I follow Tip 7.
Why is there only 269 likes
for some reason i use 1 safety gap and i will not put any other safety except 1 safety gap
I don't know lies can be used as train stations trains and more
I am a dominos artist 👨🎨
Umm... what exactly is a safety gap when you only have 40 jenga blocks?
same thing, I suppose - just take out roughly 5 consecutive blocks. you may not be able to make a ton of safety gaps, but one or 2 could be helpful
