Funny how 1 random, nameless woman, did the most damage. She lured black Adam into being bit by her infected son, which led to Martian Manhunter being infected, who then infected the flash, who infected Superman himself.

That's exactly why batman is most afraid of flash. Sure he's not as physically strong as superman but his speed alone can cause cataclysmic events if he truly wanted to.

@@chrism2809 yeah, Plastic Man is also powerful as hell, but I believe that Flash's greatest threat comes from the fact that Speedforce allows him to ignore the laws of physics whenever he so desires. And with that the possibilities are essentially endless

There’s all sorts of loose ends in DCeased that confirms it’s definitely coming back, like superman still absorbing the sun, darkseid storming new genesis, and Wally along with a bunch of other speedsters retreating to another earth to escape the plague
One of the saddest parts to me was lex falling to his knees and saying to Superman “look what happened to our city”, two of the greatest enemies, now reduced to two men looking at what used to be their city.
You know if you really think about it Slade would be the perfect man to train the next generation on how to survive. Everyone else would have either ulterior motives like Ras or too many morals like the heroes. Slade is neutral, brutal and extremely efficient. Yes the children would be cold but at the end of the day they will survive.
No way, I'm not trusting Slade Wilson with any children!!!

It was extremely dumb. He should have known to never turn his back on any of the infected, specially not one as strong as Wonder Woman, and yet he does and dies in a really stupid fashion. It's like the writers wanted Cyborg to die but couldn't come up with a way that made sense.

Well, they kinda had to kill Batman off in the very beginning or else the survivors would win way too quickly and they couldn't keep making more comics of it to be bought

It's really bad news if Batman dies and it's extraordinarily bad news if Batman dies before he can think of how to win. I mean, it says a lot when Lex Luthor has to plan for survival and has to check if Batman's dead before suggesting anything
I thought it was cool how damien becoming batman mirrors what caused bruce to take the mantle- his dad dying
I love how characters that could deflect bullets easily without actually having to do anything yet a normal humans bite/scratch breaks their skin
for superman it's reasonable because the flash was running at super speeds while superman was flying at super speeds too
so they kind of phased with one another so the flash's bones and skin got into him

It's sad to know that the kids said there was a hero that saved them but they think the hero left them when In reality Billy never left he just knew that if he didn't go back to his child form he would be a bigger issue. But he never left the kids.

You know, each time we get a "the villain fell quickly" or anything similar it really nails home exactly how much everyone normally holds back to not kill each other.
I can see Ollie being a global threat. He could impersonate Batman but actually kill people, kinda like Azreal.

Yeah, writers obviously dont know these character. In terms of intellect Lex is far superior to Batman. He's literally a born prodigy.

@@daindekruijter3893 Depends on who's writing him. Batman, if written by someone who's not a complete clown, trains for over 15 years to gain his skills. His expertise is primarily in detective and computer analysis work. He basically lets his board run his company, and people like Luscious Fox handles his tech inventions. Batman can understand and learn things, but he didnt build the company itself like Lex built and pioneered his own scientific advancements.
So if you compare the two, Lex is far more intelligent then Batman. Batman is a better fighter and a better detective, but he doesn't have Lex's scientific capabilities or photographic memory.

@@daindekruijter3893 Problem I have with multiverse stuff, is that writers use it as an excuse to write characters in ways that just aren't compatible with them. Sure there can definitely be a universe where Batman is smarter then lex, but it seems more so fone for the sake of writers just writing batman to be the best at everything because that's how they view him.
I like to think they killed off Batman early because the writers knew if anyone could survive a zombie apocalypse, it's Batman.

I'm pretty sure doctor fate's powers don't override the powers of the new gods. Considering that this whole thing is a result of the anti life equation which is part of the new gods whole deal. It is kind of understandable why magic users like him. Zatana and even the spectre are kind of unable to really bring their full power to bear. The new gods don't normally interact very often with reality. It's usually just dark side whenever it gets a bee up his butt. So I don't think they'd be really all that familiar with it and the only ones Who our familiar would be folks like mister Miracle and his wife big barda. Maybe even mister terrific. But the list of people who are familiar with apocalyptian if not new God level Technology are very few.
I usually like marvel better than DC but I think DC definitely did the zombie thing better.

The Orphanage Story was so wholesome...
I love how the villians actually get along with the kids. Lady Shiva teaching CQC, Deadshot giving deadly slingshot aim tips, Bane teaching Philosophy, The Creeper teaching Quips, Cheetah being the class pet, and Grundy even became the cool uncle who plays with them during breaks. Goddamn Blighted Mirror Master just has to ruin it all!!! Guess this was too wholesome and pure for DCeased's Wicked World. [2:27:10]
I found Deadshots death the saddest. He died so fast which I found sad.

I like how much full of hope , gentle, calm and patient Superman and how much respect he has for Bruce
I felt really sad when Cheetah died because she got emotionally attached to one of the children and acted like a guardian to her, even acting like a giant house cat only for her to be squeezed to death. The tear to the heart strings was seeing the girl’s cat ears place on her statue
Notice how every smart person just got obliterated. Batman, Lex, Mr. Terrific, Blue Beetle, and even our future man was wiped from reality. Not to mention all our heavy hitters got either taken out or turned and the second part hasn't even started yet. The story is really making sure anyone who could easily beat this gets taken out hard or used to cause even more chaos.
I like to think it was the equation being smart about taking people out

It's interesting that this is clearly DC's answer to "Marvel Zombies" yet unlike MZ this is actually consistently hopeful. The heroes stay heroes and the world doesn't go to complete shit immediately lol

The question I have is... Black Lanterns, good in this situation or bad in this situation? Could potentially make things better, could make things infinitely worse, or could just replace one zombie problem with an entirely different zombie problem... Also kind of surprised the virus didn't end up spreading through the Green Lantern ring because the rings appear to all be networked to some extent.

They explained early on that the infection is a digital virus that spreads through the internet, and you can be infected if you are staring at a screen.
While Lantern rings are networked together, I don't think they are connected to Earth's internet and they surely don't have screens connected to them.
The creators of the Rings for the Guardians didn't really factor into the idea that anything from the god planets of new genesis or apocalypse would actively work its self into the rest of the universe. They were meant to be completely isolated from the general Multiverse. So they really had no intention to try and put in a Fail-Safe just in case. You got to remember the Green Lanterns are very very powerful but they are not gods. New genesis and apocalypse highFather n Darkside. They are literally gods. Everything that we witness is just taking place from the Viewpoint of their avatars that they place within the Physical Realm. Doesn't surprise me in the slightest the Green Lantern rings don't have a solution for something that came out of part of the body of a god of death the black racer and combined with the Center point of the universe the source code

The voice acting really draws you in i love this guy
One of the things I love about DC is that they're not scared killing their characters. They go all out and in pretty reasonable manner. Now if only you could bring this beauty of a story to the big screen. Injustice too is an incredible story. Nice work man. Hope your channel keeps going.
Most comics have no problem killing people left and right in stories that are the "mainline" continuity

But...why would they...? The benefit of comics is the fact they can do virtually anything. (At least in Marvel/DC case). They don't need to have fear because everything they do doesn't matter. Even the main continuity while the death has more impact, it ultimately just...doesn't matter. Different world/comic. They're right back. (Or they find a way to revive/bring them back to the main continuity).
Dude infected Wonder Woman killing Cheetah, Creeper, Grundy, and Wilson kinda hits hard since they all die as a sacrifice, the infected woman easily ends all 4 of them and it hits me like she’s no longer holding back.
Yeah somehow kills the dead guy the healing people I guess she's just that strong

Slades healing factor isn’t as strong as characters like wolverine of deadpool, it can heal major wounds but not being torn apart

Still I'm confused as to how some zombies were really smart though- using all their abilities and powers unaffectedly to kill life. Superman absorbed the sun and used both heat and freeze visions. Nightshade can open her portals as a zombie, but Billy didn't utter, "Shazam?"
@@greynotgray6808 A bit late but maybe because it that point it wouldn't be Billy but the collective consciousness of the anti-life equation so it wouldn't work, it only seemed to work for those that uttered it before they were infected. But yeah that and things like why Superman didn't just absorb more suns killing even more life while infected Darkseid guarded him don't seem to be answered.

Regarding the other things, I just find it fun to ponder things with geeks like myself:) It can go unanswered to me, if the plot was as incredible as this one. I'm not even mad, I'm impressed. Haha
@@greynotgray6808 biggest thing to note is it uses "biological" abilities but does not seem to have the knowledge to use non-innate abilities. Technology can be learned (And it is in part tech as well).
The force can focus itself and act through specific ones (wonderwoman speaking being a strong case).
But it doesn't have connectionst o magic and such, like Billy. That was a contract with billy, not with billy's body and was a factor through billy's will. Such as he can (in most stories ) still say shazaam and not transform if he does not intend to.
I went my whole life only experiencing DC through lego games, a few animated shows and most recently, the injustice games, so I'm a fairly new fan. Your videos have been very fun to listen to and its cool to see so many cool characters i would've never known about. Awesome video.
I love the ending of unkillables and how all the characters survived the final escape and all the tree lobsters were fine and they decided to retire afterwards
Listening to this story again, and I still continuously cry my eyes out from Alfred mourning over Batman and the Robins, and the moments with Superman's family!
I had a feeling DCeased 2 was going to end in a classic zombie movie-kinda way. But it was released in 2020, say Taylor was like “Naaaaah. How about a happy ending?”
Also, THIS is my DC universe, now. The main DC Universe and I are on a break, and the Dark Multiverse can sod off. Wally West is capable. Jon and Damian are friends. People age. There are consequences that won’t be undone by cosmic forces. And there’s an inherent message of hope that doesn’t have our heroes hold their hands and literally beat the main bad guy with the physical embodiment of hope and story or whatever…
Remember there's still undead darkseid out there
All I've ever wanted is a comic line that lets characters grow up and deal with their mistakes

Constantine has a pure heart. Pure, unadulterated, badass. John and Vegeta would try to kill each other within 5 minutes of meeting at a bar, an hour later they'd be best friends at a bar on the not destroyed town 5 states over. Vegeta asking about magic to help him overcome Kakarot and John asking if he can summon Vegeta next time he has to fight something he can't handle or if he ever has to fight Superman, which Vegeta would relish the challenge.
Super pets is so good....just that "Good dog" would be like Superman saying "Good man"....it's so wholesome.

DCeased is one of my absolute favorite story’s in DC 😁 I’d say it’s better than marvel zombies because it’s got better art and better story and writing in general, it is amazing and it makes me cry every time I read it.

Both were made to follow trends back when adding zombies to everything was the bees knees, but while Marvel Zombies is just the soulless "make something with zombies because it's popular", DCeased takes the concept and plays with it, making it awesome. Hell, even the title is so much more clever.
Honestly, Night of the Living Deadpool is a hundred times better zombie story from Marvel than the Marvel Zombies.

I found it so idiotic that Superman thought the best thing to do to stop The Flash was to fly through him when he could’ve easily just used his heat vision to destroy him. That was honestly the most asinine way for Superman to go, I know it was done to pit the mightiest member of the of The Justice League against the survivors, but still it was the dumbest way to do it. It makes Superman, one of the smartest individuals in the world look like the most idiotic hero ever.

What's so shitty about this is that Barry getting infected is literally Supermans fault. They told him they cant leave the bunker because of the danger of what might happen if they get infected. Superman moves them anyway then less then 6 fucking hours later both him and Barry are now infected.

I just realized that if you gave black canary some Kryptonite she would absolutely destroy Superman especially with the green lantern ring. I mean she can literally target one of his main weaknesses and that is his super senses. Then she could weaken him with the Kryptonite and finish him off
If you give ANYONE Kryptonite they gain an advantage...he could still win but literally an advantage no matter who wields it.
