Personally I hated that. Luthor is an egomaniac who would NEVER admit to being second best at anything. It's like even when they have the guts to kill him off, the writers still have to hype up Batman as the best everything ever. I'm sick of it.

Gotta love that Ollie doesn’t understand why Batman didn’t have a plan for him. They are the same person pretty much and one of his only real friends. He knew Ollie wouldn’t turn evil because he already came back from it, just like Bruce

@@racismiswrong1345 I would agree if not for the fact he had plans on even Barry and Superman. Barry or well, any flash excluding what happened in heroes in crisis has always been a pretty morally correct character who’s biggest wrong was probs killing Thawne accidentally or doing flashpoint. He’s very similar to Bruce and one of the only people who can relate to Bruce when it comes to that kind of pain they grew up with, Barry is just the version who didn’t let that darkness consume him. And Superman, god that guys been through and seen so much, and he still is unwavering. Out of everyone he’s definitely shat on the most for just being powerful and that must feel really awful. He’s basically incorruptible, and the only time we’ve seen a Superman go corrupt is when he literally doesn’t grow up with Martha or Jonathan, and instead either goes through a million stars and becomes an insane killing machine called the last sun or the guy from Red Son who is still a good guy.
Think Bruce doesn’t have a plan on Ollie because quite frankly, he is just someone who even if they fell into the darkness wouldn’t be a threat he hasn’t faced to an extent of. I mean they’ve both fought Prometheus, he’d essentially just be that but with a bow.

It's honestly what I truly fucking hate about the whole "Batman Vs Superman" spectacle that has taken over some of the fandom, along with parts of Injustice. I don't understand the draw of Batman fighting Superman, when the alliance of Batman and Superman makes for truly the most wonderful stories, dynamics, and inspirations. They were enemies briefly, connect reasonably, and trust each other over time (as much as Batman can). They both disagree on things, but have total respect. The Clarks and Kents being families together just makes sense, expecially since the Kents adopted Clark and Bruce collects orphans like they're Pokemon and he needs a full party.
Only pair-up I think comes close to "Yes! Such a wonderful dynamic between two people with similar ideologies but conflicted enough to be interesting!" has been the total bromance that has been Scorpion and Sub Zero. Maybe the new Kratos/Freya dynamic.

It's like he's so powerful, DC tries their best to nerf him in the worst way possible everytime he shows up. The first time he is in a massive DC event, he held his own against the Spectre, and was considered the most powerful sorcerer ever. Now, he only shows up at the last minute just for one person. The arc needs an ending enemy worth at least two issues. Sort of like T2, they could Have left the T1000 on its subzero state, but they chose to shoot him with a cheesy one liner for 35 more minutes of action.

Non-movie Luthor is many things: intelligent, greedy, arrogant, self-important, ambitious, and sometimes reckless. But he does acknowledge others outstripping him in one area or another. It's one of the things that drives him to better himself in those areas. A Meta gets through security? Study it to learn how to prevent a similar incursion in the future. Super man exists? Invest in Kryptonite and weapons that seem to have impact on him, and improve those weapons' design when that assumption is accurate. Body is failing? Build a life-support system that handles that failing area(s) for your body. What you have now leaves you immobile for that? improve the design until it's effectively Power Armor. Current legal restrictions denying you the ability to do what you want? Run for president.

It wouldve just been an endless battle against powerfull villians and he would never be able to leave without instantly turning. remember in the injustice storyline superboy was able to survive a fatal blow by staying in the phantom zone

You know the disease is a threat when not even DARKSEID is safe from it.
After hearing this story it made me think about how we would try to beat something like this in real life, and it made me realize how fucked we would be.
1. Most of the people of the world use the internet and those who don't would be infected by those who are near them that did
2. For those who somehow managed to not be near any screens would later turn to their own phones or other forms of screens in order to see what the news would be saying about all the chaos, which in turn make the few people who aren't infected, now infected
AND 3. This reason isn't technically as bad since we don't have superheroes like Superman or Flash going around killing everyone faster, so I guess we're a little LESS fucked then the DC universe, but still fucked all the same.

ok, i love the fact that in almost every universe of DC, there's got to be one event that does Hal dirty. He's my fav and seeing him turn into a zombie within minutes is just hurtful.
Alfred never fails to be the best written character in all of history. No matter what happens, or what he has to do, even if it means ending his own life or Batmans, he always has Bruces back.

To be fair, Batman has a lot of villains that are "reformed" in some way. Harley and Ivy are kinda good now. Clayface became a hero and member of the batfamily (until he was shot and killed). Mr. Freeze is a desperate man more than a villain, so in most stories whenever he has founds to research his wife's illness, he stops being a criminal and spends his time in jail just like the law says (he has even refused to escape Arkham in a few cases, because he knows what he does is bad, and since Nora is in hands of good people, usually Wayne enterpirses when Batman decides to help him) he stopts being evil. Even Killer Croc, altough not reformed, after all the things he suffered, he desides to live under the city, and as long as no one bothers him, he hurts nobody (he lives as a territorial beast more like a villain who tries to hurt others for free)
They know Batman holds back and doesn't want to kill them. They even use that against him, and in the end it doesn't help them. I can't think of a single Bman villain who hasn't used "he doesn't kill" against him only to be humiliated, humbled, and arrested again and again. Even the Joker knows the Batman, at some level, genuinely cares about the person, not the villain. Plus Batman knows behind each of his enemies, there is a broken human. He even sees the human in someone like Zsasz, and truly wants Zsasz to see he is doing wrong when killing.
In some way, there is this weird respect they have to him. They know he could kill them, some even understand why he doesn't, most don't, but they all know he holds them with some regard, and they reflect that back to them.
Only other heroes that I know specifically take the time to know their villains on another level and have the villains respect them above Bman have been Spider-Man and maybe the Flash.
There needs to be a movie about this. Whether live action or animation.
