- Do you want to record TV but don't want to buy and set top boxes. No problem here you can use cheap USB flash drives and more (TV must have USB slots and support recording)
Many thanks for this upload this helped a lot as my recorder died and now instead of scart can record in hd and only used a spare usb I had in a drawer never knew I could do this works a dream. Subscribed

@Elijah Sawyer you're right I don't give a damn cos I don't know what you're on about
Thank you. This is the most informative tutorial on this subject I have found so far.
I've been looking for a way to record streaming channels especially the zen nature stuff and I want to personally thank you for presenting a concise, clear and easy to follow video without getting on my nerves. These days, everything and most everyone has been grating on my last gay nerve!! Thanks again bro.😋
Ahhhhh, a poofy man huh???

Hi can I use a f type to coax adaptor to plug both cables in ie one to the screw in and one in the push in to enable to record and watch at the same time ?
Wow amazing, I have just recorded TV shows on my usb stick. They even can be played on my lap top. Thankyou so much. I don't even have to buy any box, cable, etc like other youtubers said in their videos. 👍👍👍
hi, is there any way to transfer these recorded files onto another device so that it is viewable on a computer?
CAN YOU RECORD SHOWS STORED ON YOUR TIVO BOX ON TO USB FLASH DRIVE?
What model TV set does this recording ?
Even this is too difficult for me. Gdit, where are the good old days that you could just by a video recorder ? Is that so outlandish to produce nowadays. I'm mot technical at all. Everytime i want or need something practical like this i have to almost pray to find somebody that can truly help..
You can still buy recordable DVD players
That’s not the fault of this lad tho is it .?
I will subscribe 1000 times no lies
thank you.
Cheers !
Thanks :)
Hi I find them usb stop working after a while, can you help me out with this thanks.
Thank you. will it also record from my smart iptv app on the tv?
I don't know I've never tried it
you can watch 1 channel and record another as long as on same multiplex eg only bbc1 bbc2 itc ch4 ch5
Well done everybody just trying to help.
Had a blank thumb drive and my TV didn't ask me to do a thing. It just came up USB or Photo...
Is there any method to record not TV live shows but other things like HDMI's with a USB?
If you have a HDMI capture card
I have the 32 inch version of your tv so i recognised the menus and buttons, i knew i could watch a movie from a usb but i didn't know i could do a recording using one. I'm not sure if you mentioned this but can you record something on the tv if the tv is off or schedule a recording?
Yes you can record when the TV is off as long as it is on standby mode & you can schedule recordings.
@@THENEW6sek I'll give it a try now, thank you.
Where can I find and purchase a Blu-ray Recorder in order to record TV content in HD/4K?
As far as I'm aware one does not yet exsist yet in the uk
Hi the problem with the sd flash drive it only works for a while, it ask me to register again when I have it full of recordings which I don't understand at all. Does anyone know why this happened.
What model of Samsung TV is this?
Most new Sony Bravia tv's won't allow you to record using a flash player/usb stick. It MUST BE a HDD external device (ABOVE 32gb) like the WD in this video
Is there a way to record what is actually displaying at any time? For example a game or youtube?
You can use the joy plus feature if you're using a samsung tv
but if you dont have a tv connected to a box or Ariel how can you pick a channel to record
My problem is that video recordings from my (now defunct) samsung tv won't play on my laptop because apparently they're in some dodgy encrypted format.
Can you help my TV has facility to record programme, but don't know which USB to buy
Do you live in the UK because this feature is blocked in other countries
Hey Brother... Can You tell Me what I Format it to - NTSF or Fat 32..?
Just format it when you connect it to your tv and your tv will format it to the correct format
are you recording with the remote from your TV? If i want to record something on cable tv shouldn't i use my time warner cable remote then?
Nimbus Cloud This is for uk freeview users only.
infinitypictures Also works for freesat
I have an old sky box that which will only record if I rejoin sky.
Can I record on my Freeview TV with the memory stick and watch my other channel on my sky box. Would this work?
Possibly if sky box still allows you to watch tv on it
Does this record sky TV show
So I'm going on a long haul flight. I want to record on to an I flash drive so I can watch stuff on my I pad. Any ideas on how I can do that?
can I put youtube on my smart tv and record that the same as freeview/freesat?
I don`t think the website works that way, It`s possible to download You Tube video`s on to a SD Card or flash drive via a PC And then run them on a television with the right slots and software installed, They are video`s on You Tube itself showing how to do it
When a hard drive is connected can you use timeshift? I.e. Pause and rewind live tv
Ashley Holroyd yes but u have to press play to enable it
Not if you live in a third world country like the US......timeshift and recording are all disabled courtesy of the TiVo lawyers.
Welcome to the dark ages.
Nice to see how things are working in the developed world.
Except if you live in a 3rd world country like the US where this feature is disabled.
You can all thank TiVo for taking you back into the dark ages.
Thanks for the video.....nice to see how things work in civilisation.
Yes mine must be disabled on my Samsung smart tv. The only feature in the guide is to schedule a viewing of the program. ;((
When recording using the usb flash, can you set the time and channel you wish to record?
Yes
So, if im not going to be here when a football game comes on and it is scheduled from 1pm-4pm. I can set it from 1pm to 5 pm in case it went to overtime
The way it works is that you schedule a recording of a program and as long as that program is still running it will record it unless you run out of storage before it finishes.
So how are you receiving tv channels .
Are you recording from built in tv freeview
Yes I can record from freeview or freesat
@@THENEW6sek on this video are you recording TV show from the built in Freeview on the TV
Yes I was but it my TV then also had built in freesat which would work in the same way
What's the key stuck on the wall for? lol
Thanks for the info , However, it will not work on a Sino Tec 32 inch STL_32VN80D
I contacted the manufacturers and they explained that this will work on the much larger screen TVs, If anyone can get it to work on the smaller Sinotech TVs I would like to hear about it,Thanks again .Roy South Africa
Roy Hugh
Apparently you need software, don't you? I have a large external hd, but no software like you showed ....so where do i get the software and the remote control that comes with it, of am I missing something?
It is the software that is built into the television when it manufactured it cannot be installed. Unfortunately it sounds like your TV does not support it.
I need a way to record to my usb then connect to laptop for the editing purposes
+Dalton SpencePTCA Unfortunately the method I use in the video to record TV will not work in anything but the TV that is was recorded on. There may be another way to that I am not aware of, if you find one please let me know.
Dalton SpencePTCA look for a video capture card/device
There is an app that converts TV recordings to normal mp4.... I've forgotten the name, jst search for it.
Glad I could help
@@potatochipappi It's called format factory
Does the tv shutdown after it is finished recording?
The TV will not shut down after recording but the TV can record in standby mode as well
wow
nice video , but if you install VLC app on any pc you can play back any video including ts recording,
can i watch another channel whilst recording another one thanx in advance
You would need a tv with a twin Turner for that
@@THENEW6sek nice one
What model TV is this? Does this capability exist only in England. There are no Americans doing videos on this.
Some of the American models deliberately block this feature it depends on the model
Are You a s w fan?
I have a samsung with a USB port, and I bought the portable dvd drive. I cant record or play from that usb port. It will only play some photos
foto1now You may need to format the drive while it is connected to the TV for it to work properly.
Some televisions have USB Slots that are either manufacturer service slots, Or the software to run flash drives and either record or play from an external hard drive is not installed, Check the details of your televison
Apparently my Samsung doesn't have recording feature.
what country are you from?
+Martim Afonso England
Bro that's a city
Uhh... I don't have a Television Guide...
D's Movie Corner Press GUIDE on your remote.
YouToon oh hi lol
yogesh
*But I don't have a TV... Or electricity.*
*Or arms.*
How did you comment on this video then?
@@detournetworkuk HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHA
wear a t-shirt man
must be aprilsfool
Almost useless if you want to play the recording on a different TV as the original recording is usually encrypted and limited to the original TV :(
Why don't our American TVs allow us to do this. Horseshit, somebody's getting paid to prevent it !
this video is misguide. not show record video. only play video
So I sit through this and right at the end I learn that I can't do what I want to. Really helpful. NOT.
Don't be a weenie, sir. At least he tried.
how the fuck do I connect shit?
put the usb into the usb port on the tv?
Celá Ulica thats funny
You talk too much. I bought a Panasonic 43" in 2019, & it's got a timer, but can't record 2 USB. (4 TV only).
