Unless there was some kind of blatant negligence involved, your reaction is entirely unreasonable. Accidents happen, and perhaps he should have his license revoked, or pay a fine, but a doctor should not go to prison for making an honest mistake. Just think what that threat would do to the field of medicine! Doctors are already struggling with huge costs for malpractice insurance, but with your plan, they would start refusing treatment for fear of being imprisoned.

Many cases have an outcome that has absolutely nothing to do with truth of facts, but who has a more convincing attorney, or bias of jury. Innocent or guilty, the doctor has a good “malpractice” case against the former attorney. If the doctor loses at the second trial, it’s possible that the previous attorney might ultimately be the one paying out the judgment in the long run.

When I learned of this disgusting behavior, I looked the attorney up on the State Bar website and sent him an e-mail telling him what I thought. I hope the daughters see this.
Absolutely disgusting behavior from the defense attorney. There's a difference between doing everything you can to try and help a client, and doing everything you can to discredit the opposition. Hopefully the Doctor's new attorney will be more responsible in their defense instead of just misrepresent the accusations, and if the doctor was responsible for the father's death, there should be a full investigation into why things happened as they did.
It’s stupefying. Legal system makes no sense- pay two guys to go duke it out in court where one guy pretty much has to lie to defend his client. I can’t imagine criminal lawyers keep their souls in good shape
Trial lawyers are one of the lowest life forms out there. We do need to adjust the laws to make it illegal for any attorney to propagate theories he knows are false or make knowingly false representations.......he can present true facts that cast the accusations against his client in doubt, but that's it.
this is why lawyers suck, the whole system needs to be dumbed down and revamped honestly. If you don't think most if not all lawyers make some form of mockery of the law like this, then you are a fool. Cause they all do it, some of them even believe their own BS and don't think it's wrong or immoral... Just not many of them are dumb enough to talk about it like this on social media. lol
As someone who suffers from medical malpractice everyday this is terrible. People pls be careful going to the doctor try to take good care of yourself and look for natural remedies. It's rare to get messed up on the civilian side but it can still happen to you and I don't wish this suffering on anybody!!! Take care!!
I worked at a veterans hospital and saw the most horrific post operative complications that occurred from surgeries that were considered simpleand routine. "Nicked" bowels during textbook outpatient laparoscopic hernia repair that led to sepsis, 9 and counting months of having to be in the hospital, multiple other surgeries, a colostomy, and wounds that took over a year to heal. That was just one patient who happened to tell me his story. There was the the veteran who worked at the hospital and was allegedly rendered a quadriplegic on a ventilator who required around the clock 24/7 nursing care due to complications from his surgery. The patient who allegedly had a post op bowel obstruction, was literally vomiting diarrhea because the passage to his 'other' normal fecal exit was blocked. He ultimately ended up dying because his night nurse didn't recognize the severity of the situation. The stories are endless. I quit that very high paying Federal job with extraordinary benefits and retirement because I couldn't continue to see (alleged) outcomes like that and helplessly watch unnecessary suffering.
GUILTY if I was on jury after the 1st statement "we kinda made it look like ..." ....HOW DID THESE ASSOCIATEs PASS ETHICS? how did he pass ethics? Everything he said says doc was neg but we said the right shit and won....SO FUCKING STUPID AND I HOPE THEY LOSE LIC BUT if i was one of those that worked there, i would be looking fast for another job with an ethical firm.

Wow....I hope that doctor get Jail time and loses his medicals practice...That is insane...That lawyer is the true imagine of a lying rasshole...Sue them All!!
Lawyers can’t magically “have” verdicts overruled. There has to be legitimate legal reasoning underpinning the decision. It’s not a carnival game. He was successful for his client, whom the *legal adjudicator* decided had a *valid, legal* way to avoid HUGE liability. It’s not his problem if you don’t like the law or the result. My client and I would definitely celebrate such a success. Why wouldn’t we? We just saved hundreds of thousands of dollars and professional liability for something we’re not legally responsible for. According to the decider of legal things. This is why we don’t have “law by public opinion”. 🙄 Tragic outcomes don’t change legal liability. Or we’d have no doctors at all.

every single person in that room needs to have their law licenses taken away. dude bragging needs locked up for the rest of his life. use him as an example to the other dirtbag lawyers. let him rot.
A lot of people in the room were just standing near an idiot. Most of them probably were of lower rank than him and powerless.
@@karldavis7392 "all that is needed for evil men to succeed, is for normal people to stand by and do nothing."
He broke no law.
So when is that lawyer going to be DISBARRED!!!!!
Wow, thank god the judge did the right thing.
The plaintiffs need to hire a new attorneys ASAP!!
Agree. A unanimous vote from the jury means those 3 are really bad at their job
@@jimmydishkawnt 🤔……✔️
Are people that surprised to see the dark underbelly of being a lawyer? You get paid to win your side of the case. I'm sure after a while, you get numb to the day to day details. It's all just another case.
I imagine people in grimmer professions often develop darker senses of humor and/or make comments that would make the general public uncomfortable. I'm sure you'll hear plenty of offbeat/dark jokes and stories at a funeral director's convention for example.
Those funeral director jokes are a far cry from bragging that you got a person who was guilty of negligence off the hook..
Making money off lying and people's lives. there's a special place in hell for those animals I wouldn't call them people
Insult to animals, no?
I wouldn't insult Animals like that.
Whoever leaked this video, obviously worked at this office and found it disgusting. That says a lot.
imagine how he acts on his worst days. also you can tell by the body language of everyone up against the wall that this is obviously a fun place to work lol
That was so disgusting and disgraceful that doctor deserves to be bankrupt and in prison!!! Praying for the victim daughters that to they win this lawsuit. It's only right.
Shut up. Accidents happen. Prison for trying to save the mans life? Ya don’t thinks so. Sure he should get fined though.
Unless there was some kind of blatant negligence involved, your reaction is entirely unreasonable. Accidents happen, and perhaps he should have his license revoked, or pay a fine, but a doctor should not go to prison for making an honest mistake.
Just think what that threat would do to the field of medicine! Doctors are already struggling with huge costs for malpractice insurance, but with your plan, they would start refusing treatment for fear of being imprisoned.
are you serious? do you realize malpractice kills more people than cancer and heart diseases? that means if you penalize EVERY DOCTOR that has commited MALPRACTICE, there would be no health care left in America
Just remember this when people refuse to become a doctor from fear of a law suit / your health care costs are huge to cover the cost of law suits.
The whole reason for malpractice insurance... accidents happen.
All i gotta say everyone at that law firm should be ready for what coming their way. What goes around comes around.
Wow-I hope Justice is actually served 2nd time around. My heart goes out to the daughters💛
Karma is a Bitch!!
He will most likely be found innocent a second time. If you weren't paying attention, the victim was a drinker.
Sadly the truth doesn't always come out in the end. Glad that it did this time.
I sincerely hope that this family gets to use that "victory speech" in the second trial that lawyer needs to be held accountable for his words and actions in all fairness Idk who's a bigger scumbag: the lawyer or the Dr either way they cheapen (and insult) those careers for those who are good Drs and lawyers. Hearing that braggart gloat made me sick to my stomach how do you live with yourself lying and blaming others for a mistake you caused? Both need to lose there law and medical licenses
Thank God there is a new trial! Praying for the daughters 🙏
Levels of stupidity: 1-10
6- Lawyer bragging about lying
8-Recording the bragging
10+++-Putting the recording online
That bragging lawyer should have his license revoked that is very unprofessional of him to parade around a sensitive case among others.
Way to go Judge!!!!! I hope this family wins.
He's a lawyer & unfortunately some will do what he did..they don't care it's just a win for them
A lawyer wearing T-shirt and jeans, case shoulda been overturned for that reason alone
Why?
It's not like he showed up to court dressed like that.
tell me you're low IQ without telling me you're low IQ
@@Anime_Lover_PHX_SAC_ABQ Seriously. I wasn't wearing pants while doing my work yesterday. Should my pay be docked even though I was productive? 🤦♂️
Why would that be wrong? Are people not allowed to wear jeans& a tshirt? Weird statement. Even weirder are the people who upvoted this.
This poor family needs better attorneys, but the Doctors attorney should lose his license to practice.
I’ve never heard of or seen lawyers ringing bells or bragging like this after a verdict in a malpractice suit....glad the verdict was thrown out and there will be a new trial.
this happeneds alot more than you expect. my Brother is a defense attorney and he told me he once celebrate getting 15 years taken off of a murderers sentence. that case got his paid alot. if money can't buy you freedom there's a chance you can buy it here in America
sounds like the family has a case for defamation as well.
most of us hate lawyers unfortunately until we need one, it's their job to win, but most are just not gracious, they truly are bottom feeders.
could the doctor sue the lawyer for something since now the verdict was overturned due to the lawyer’s actions?
Yes.
I guess the best way to think of this is a blessing in disguise since they're getting a whole new trial and can expose the truth 💯☮️
After winning the case he told the victims family, who was from el salvador, “Welcome to America”.
as a law student, i have been taught from day one you don’t celebrate when you win a case, because even if YOU got out great it doesn’t mean the other party has. celebrating someone’s loss shows more about how you are than them, you can always bet the people who are loud when they win are major sore losers when they don’t
“A guy that was probably negligently killed but we kind of made it look like other people did it.”
Wow.
Hope that lawyer firm goes under
Attorney: "We saved an insurance company from a malpractice suit against a fool that clearly killed his patient- we got 'em!"
Everyone: another reason to hate lawyers, in OR out of the courtroom
Does that include the daughter's lawyers?
Imagine how Johnny Cochrane celebrated when OJ was acquitted 😂
thank you for speaking up out. get justice
Props to the whistle blower.
Win or Lose Lawyers always get paid.
That’s why you should always get a second opinion when dealing with them.
That being they’re all butt buddies in that court house, don’t expect them to go out of there way “Help” you the best they can.
Not all lawyers - many take on a case at their own risk.
Everyone who works for that law firm should be disbarred.
And here I thought you couldn’t lie in the court room.
The biggest lies happen inside of the court room by lawyers no less.
I hope they chew the doctor and lawyer
This goes on all the time behind closed doors. Any law firm will tell you this is totally normal. It's just a job to lawyers, to the family it's their life, and to the judge it's their duty.
isn't lying in court a crime?
This is disgusting!!!!To the family ,I am so sorry for your loss❤️
This family BETTER win this time. Lawyer caught admitting he lied and played games. Ffs 🤦🏽♀️ best wishes to the family and to their lawyers. I hope you win, because it is right that you do.
Makes you wonder about all of his other “wins”.
I keep saying it, winning a case is now becoming more important than finding justice.
If I am with the family, I would hire new lawyers. Those 3 are probably very bad lawyers to get a unanimous vote from the jury. This is another chance to get justice for your father, dont waste it by hiring the same lawyers
Lawyers look incompetent
maybe. but if you've been on a jury the judge sometimes tells you to ignore certain things and people actually follow the instructions
I find it hard to believe that a lawyer could be one of the worst human beings on earth.
Nice sarcasm!
when the educated ones who take an oath are doing this to us imagine what the future holds.
Ridiculous
I'm shocked and disgusted that people still think that civil defense lawyers are anything less than scum. Just shook to my core.
That's what disturbs you? Lol. Can't trust these lawyers
@@alejandromaldonado6159 No, it's called sarcasm. Very little humans do disturbs me anymore.
Now he will be sued by the doctor for attorney malpractice LOL 😂
Jeez, a lawyer can literally push their agenda no matter wait just to win and the only repercussions they get is a new trial.
It’s stupefying. Legal system makes no sense- pay two guys to go duke it out in court where one guy pretty much has to lie to defend his client. I can’t imagine criminal lawyers keep their souls in good shape
Revoke his license
Trial lawyers are one of the lowest life forms out there. We do need to adjust the laws to make it illegal for any attorney to propagate theories he knows are false or make knowingly false representations.......he can present true facts that cast the accusations against his client in doubt, but that's it.
The truth always has a way of coming out. It's a man's life that was lost.
this is why lawyers suck, the whole system needs to be dumbed down and revamped honestly.
The plaintiff’s counsel must have been really bad to lose a malpractice case at trial where the death certificate said how the client died.
This shouldn't be another Better Call Saul episode in real life. 🙄🙄
I hope this video can be played in the new trial! I bet the doctor is throwing air punches!
Isnt this perjury? He knew the doctor was negligent and still lied to jury? Don’t he have some type of oath to be truthful?
Wow....I hope that doctor get Jail time and loses his medicals practice...That is insane...That lawyer is the true imagine of a lying rasshole...Sue them All!!
I hope those women get justice for their father!!
As a mod who grew up in the liquor industry it would have been his kidneys and liver not the colon
Juries need to be comprised of law students as part of their internship. Indeed, use all college students as part of the educational process for jurors, not people being taken away from their lives for no pay.
Just unbelievable. Goes to show the court system is trash
2:48 Based on what?!!!
They won the trial, and there was no mention of anything illegally done, like bribing jurors.
So, on what basis are they being granted a new trial?
These lawyers are awful.
Just because the attorney bragged about winning, doesn't mean he's wrong. The jury decided who won, not the lawyer.
Apparently it means the family didn’t get a fair civil trial since the decision got tossed by a judge. It’s on the attorney for being such a scumbag on video and then posting it to social media. You would think somebody would have known better.
Do you not understand or comprehend what you hear?
They made it "look" like someone else did it!. They kept info from the jury. How would YOU feel if it was you're family?
Attorney was persuasive to jury. While being dumb as a log.
these doctors get immunity for everything. Its sickening
HA HA HA IN YOUR FACE ATTORNEY AND THE DOCTOR.
Helluva way to start the morning
To successfully sue a doctor is more difficult than suing a lawyer ; their peers PROTECT them..
just like the police lol
Just remember this when people refuse to become a doctor from fear of a law suit / your health care costs are huge to cover the cost of law suits.
As they should. Doctors are human. They aren't immune from making mistakes. Who would understand that better than another doctor?
@@bobroberts2371 This has been proven to be not true. Texas severely limited the awards in lawsuits. It made no difference at all in the cost of Healthcare in Texas and cost rose at the same pace as states that didn't place limits. Fun fact, Abbott the current governor of Texas championed the law for tort reform, of course that was after he himself won millions in damages in his own lawsuit.
Thats just sickening
watching grown adults find out how the justice system works in a place they have lived their whole lives will always make me laugh in their faces. Wow thats a good one. IM SAD CUZ THE OTHER LAWYER WON.
