I met Jeff in the middle of my youth. There was no internet back then, and the TV music programmes featured famous pop singers and rock bands. Jeff was not among them. He was a mysterious man with few photographs. And yet, Jeff's music was heard on radio programmes at the time, alongside Page and Clapton, in British Rock specials. Even music magazines featured him as one of the three best guitarists from one band. From then on, Jeff Beck's playing stood out. He had tricky phrases and delicate tones. Most of my life has been coloured by the sound of his guitar. A true guitarist who really shone until his later years.

Amazing research on this historical song! Fantastic selections! We used to watch the TV series on black and white television and bought the stereo album, one of the earliest of its kind. Craig Stevens starred as Peter Gunn, private detective, with his razor-cut short haircut.
