I get so many ideas from watching other fellow YTubers morning basket ideas and hauls. Btw-I have that same basket!!!! You actually just gave me a NEW idea. I was trying to figure out how to use the basket and now I know!!!!! Thanks so much. 😉🌻
Enjoyed the video! We are using a book called Cultured Chef through our Torchlight curriculum and have really enjoyed learning about popular food dishes in other countries. I had not heard of Hungry Planet or Material World - I’ll have to check those out! As a photographer, I love any book with great photos!
Thanks for sharing all your books and resources for your morning time basket. I really like the morning basket idea, but never really been able to be diligent with keeping a routine with life happening and having little children with older children. I am not sure how to implement morning time with high school kids and elementary preschool children.
Do you do all of your subjects in your morning basket in a day or do a loop or block schedule? Which is best for cycling through all the books and resources? Trying to figure out how to successfully accomplish a morning time with my large age-diverse group of children. I like the charlotte mason philosophy but never when fully into it, just implemented some of her teachings like narration, copy work, and diction into my homeschool. I will check out the Ambleside to see if there are any suggestions
Most of them are looped! I'll be sharing a video soon with our weekly loop schedule which will be helpful! ❤️ Ambleside is great and I still take some of their books and use them as family studies!

We have that Aesop book in a paperback. We read 2 pages a day each morning, but my son often wants me to read a lot more. lol The only reason I sometimes don’t read more, is because it’s the last read-aloud of the morning and my voice gets tired by then.
I don’t think I’ll ever be a total CM homeschooler but I do love a lot of her ideas. I want to get some of her picture and composer studies. I was never exposed to the arts and I want my kids to be.
Same!!! Zero experience with the arts except an art appreciation class in college and one visit to the art museum 😆 which was not a great first impression (horrible professor) so I'm hoping it will help cultivate an interest in all of us! ❤️ or at least an appreciation for other skills
We love Mystery of History! :) Her writing is easy to follow and it has some simple activities and extra books listed to enrich the base :) I have no personal experience with Story of the World BUT some of my friends use it and I've gathered that they are very similar in their approach! So I think you could go with either :) Mystery of History my mother used with the last 3 kids in my family so she passed it down to me!
We love doing our hymns. We use Happy Hymnody and she even has copy work for the hymn and the sheet music for free. It's a great resource.
This is awesome!! I just checked her out 🤩🤩🤩 I'm instantly in love!

Yay! Glad to hear it! Thanks for watching 🥰
We love Tuttle Twins books too 😊
Love all your Simply CM stuff!!!!!!! We have done CM for a very long time. Love your videos!!!!!
Such great curriculum! Thank you for watching!
We are using those geography books with our Guest Hollow World Geography unit. We LOVE hymns over here. 🌻
Love that!

My oldest is only 10 but sometimes our "morning" basket happens at lunch once the toddler is asleep 😉

How do you like Mystery of History? Do you have any experience with story of the world? How do they compare? Thanks for your insight!

Do you have to read the tuttle twins in order?
Nope! :) we actually started with the one called "The Golden Rule" since we were familiar with that! It was like book 8 or so!
