    I honestly feel like I could cry right now cause with my kids (3 under 4) I felt like this couldn’t be done. I’m focusing this week on getting my morning routine going so that I’m prepared for morning time! Thank you!! 💗

    You made me feel like I can do this! I've watched a lot of morning basket videos and yours was BY FAR my favorite. This gave me so much clarity and comfort!
    Thank you so much for making this video! 🥰🥰🥰

    Your family looks so comfy and loving on the couch. Lots of activity, yes, but keeping all of them around you. Watching you read and interact with your kiddos... it's the ultimate "I hope my kids remember this ...." type of moment. Good for you!! Thank you for sharing your family time with us.

    I needed this video. This is what my homeschool looks like. It's chaos and not at all Pinterest pretty, but it's real. It's so easy to compare yourself to the picture perfect scenario you see on social media and feel like you're failing, but the truth is that's not anyone's reality every day.

    I just stumbled upon this video, and it was an answered prayer. Like you, I have been struggling with what Morning Time should "look like," and you have made it so clear and simple. I LOVE how real you stayed. Thank you! Yes, our home is like that just about everyday - not pretty, just real. Thank you for the encouragement to stick it out and make it happen, and the encouragement to start small, even once a week. This has been a great help to me. God bless!

    You have no idea how much I needed to see you doing morning baskets. I keep giving up because my kids (4,3,2, and 7 months) aren't just sitting quietly and listening lol. Even if I set up things for them to do. they're little! Their little bodies must move. So Ive been spreading out our reading pretty much throughout the course of the entire day. But I keep wondering -When will I be able to do this???- Watching your little ones move around and squirm and squabble and you just staying steady and handling it was encouraging. Thank you!

    This was wonderful! I loved your clip of your Morning time with your kids. I also have 5 children, but they are a little more spaced. We did Morning Baskets before they were called that! We called it Couch Time, and did our Awana verses, a devotional , a read-aloud chapter book, sometimes poetry or Book of Virtues or a seasonal story; half the kids were usually on the couch and the rest sprawled on the floor. Just like you, it was a daily thing and if nothing else got done, I felt we had accomplished something good.

I started homeschool this year and have felt discouraged because I feel like I’m not doing enough... but seeing your real life and hearing that it’s not always perfect and if all you get is basket done then you feel good honestly made me so emotional! I love this you are so right. I find I need to slowly make changes bc if i jump right in it’s just too much. I’m like you I have a 6,5,4&2 year old. This first year has been so overwhelming! I love the proverbs idea!

    • @sixheartshomeschool

      When I add little things at a time it helps ME more than it helps them so that it’s less overwhelming. We are in the trenches friend! These are not easy years but they are so, so fleeting too! ❤️

    Do you wake your kids up? That is one of my road blocks is my kids love to sleep in and we all move SO SLOWLY in the morning.

    • @sixheartshomeschool
      @sixheartshomeschool  3 года назад

      I don’t! My kids are definitely sleepers as well. They tend to usually wake up between 8-830am. So I just let them sleep! And we usually get to morning basket around 9-930 🤗

    This might be a funny question but when do y’all get dressed and ready for the day? After morning basket? I’ve noticed if we don’t “get ready” right after breakfast I can’t get them out of their pajamas!

    Great video! My problem is walking myself up in the morning! Usually my son is up before me and ugh I feel like I have to set an alarm to be able to get myself up before him. On days I wake up before him I feel great! On days he wakes up before me I feel defeated, he’s 5, he goes downstairs and turns the tv on and eats a snack. I hate t.v.!!! I really need to get it together🤷🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️
