Quentin Tarantino’s ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD visits 1969 Los Angeles, where everything is changing, as TV star Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio) and his longtime stunt double Cliff Booth (Brad Pitt) make their way around an industry they hardly recognize anymore. The ninth film from the writer-director features a large ensemble cast and multiple storylines in a tribute to the final moments of Hollywood’s golden age. Кино
Brad gave the best performance in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, period. Cliff Booth is probably one of the coolest guys I ever saw on film. Leo and Margot were awesome too, but Brad stole the show.
Margot was barely on the screen for 5 minutes....
Leo was better but yeah
*What a great performance*
@@hardiks2685 I didn't mean to say margot robbie is a bad actress, she's a great actress in fact. I am saying that 5 minutes is not enough to call it a great performance.
@@user-pw3yd7rd7f Leo is the great actor, but Brad was the cool guy in the movie, and even with Dicaprio in it, Cliff Booth stole the show
Loved the character. Friendly, loyal, charming, rational and a total badass.
An S tier best friend
And a wonderful dog owner.
And quite possibly a wife-murdering psycho
And a wife killer. What a character.
@@Leomendoncacampos Did you see him kill her?
Brad Pitt was the best character in the film
HxnryTxylor2004 DiCaprio was amazing as well
I agree. I didn't care much for the film but he definitely made it bearable for me to watch.
I found myself waiting for him to come back onscreen. Everybody was good, but there was something about him that was electric and made it come to life.
Also - great dog.
Tonny Palm he was good but I preferred cliff
scamrasc same lol😂
Awwww man this making me want to see it for a third time
I'm hoping to catch it for a (hateful) eighth time before it leaves the cinema.
It's such an easy film to watch and rewatch.
Already seen it three times in the theaters and I can’t wait for the Blu Ray release
dvd come out tomorrow
I've seen three times. Once by myself, twice with friends
@Sterman99 I think that a part of it is the "day in the life" hangout pacing. None of these characters go on a huge journey with a lot of character development, you just see them go through three days. So you're not left feeling exhausted from the experience, despite the length.
One of my favourite things is that Rick and Cliff never come into conflict during the story. They never fight and argue and separate at the end of the second act or whatever, only to come together at the end of the movie. It's nice to be surprised by a movie, but then that's Tarantino for ya.
Rick and Cliff's adult relationship felt real and gave the film a warmth that stays with you.
2019 Best Leading Actor : Joaquin Phoenix
2019 Best Supporting Actor : Brad Pitt
Couldn't agree more!
Perfect. But we all know the Oscars. They will never give them the awards.
Aaaaaaanddddd _THEY DID IT, BOYS!_
Damn that literally just happened with the golden globes
Guessed right, Sir!
Imagine being the stuntman of Brad Pitt who's playing the stuntman in the movie
Pitt is like the Dukes of Hazzard car. Multiple Stuntman were used.
So he is the stuntman for a guy in a film who is playing a stuntman for an actor + the actor plays different roles in the film
Never thought Brad would have a role I loved as much as Tyler Durden from Fight Club, but almost 20 years later here it is! Cliff is an amazing character and Brad's phenomenal performance deserves an oscar!
I agree he did an amazing character for cliff booth but i think you went a bit too far with the oscar tbh
Thought the same thing til I saw him as Lt. Aldo Raine, nazi scalper.
You should watch snatch.
It’s exactly 20 years after Fight club
He did it!!!
Brad Pitt's BEST role since Tyler Durden in Fight Club or Mickey from Snatch.
Please, Aldo the Apache? Come on.
@@jmdarth love him in that but those are two are my favorites
@Em Lats yesss very underestimated role for a very underestimated movie! Didn't get the FULL credit it deserved.
Assassination of Jesse James is his definitive best roll. Maybe Aldo
Did you guys really forget about the guy who asked what's in the box that's possibly containing his pregnant wife's decapitated head?
What I absolutely love about Cliff Booth is that he's badass in a way that seems pretty believable even if it's a bit out there (no superhero bullshit, no secret agent bullshit)
it's just well developed hand-to-hand combat skills, body language and a swagger that conveys he has experienced being an attractive yet deadly man for so many years that it comes as easy to him as breathing, along with the ability to be completely calm in the face of life threatening scenarios, being able to resist getting head from scantily clad Margaret Qualley, and the fact that he never complains...even giving off a vibe that he never feels the need to complain
and these all very rare but believable traits, which to me makes his badassery feel even more badass than some superpowered character who can throw a car across a continent or some secret agent who has tech so unrealistically overpowered that it may as well be magic.
In inglorious b’stards during the cinema entrance scene, diane kruger introduced brads character as a movie stuntman..!!
His name in Basterds is “Antonio Margaretti” which is also referenced as a director of one of Rick’s Italian western directors names in the movie poster scene
@@charliehills1005 that was the bear jews undercover name. Aldos undercover role was Enzo Gorlomi
"Gahr la mee"
@@VaultCourier380
Haahaahaa!!! That gets me every time.
@@charliehills1005 No, Brad was Gore-la-me.
I need him to win Best Supporting Actor for this
lol. Dude he is not playing all that well, he basically plays himself. It's not great acting. But the character is awesome, but you don't win Oscars for that.
He deserves to win best actor for Ad Astra
@@FabledGentleman Bro tell me how Bohemian Rhapsody won best editing last year along with other oscars and then tell me Brad shouldn't win an oscar for this role
@@TyMcLeod I haven't seen yet but I have heard great things, the oscars overlooked Interstellar entirely in 2015 so I'm not very confident they will care for a film like Ad Astra annoyingly :/
He said he doesn’t plan on campaigning for any awards this year. Most of the supporting actor buzz I’m seeing right now is for Al Pacino and Joe Pesci in “The Irishman”
With Once Upon a Time, Joker and The Irishman the Best Actor Oscar list is gonna be absolutely stacked this year.
Wouldnt leo/pitt get nominated for supporting actor?
@@jakefilmfreak8200 The studio will usually go with who they think has a better chance of winning the Oscar. While Leo crushed it, it's Pitt that gave one of the best performances of his career and I think he has a better shot at winning over Leo this year for best actor.
From what I'm hearing though Joaquin Phoenix will be the one to beat.
@@MasDouc yeah I think Pitt probably will get nominated but he's really a supporting actor in that movie not a main one I don't think the studio decides about that.
"Cliff, you are a good friend." - Rick Dalton
I would rather watch Cliff Booth make macaroni and cheese, feed his dog, and watch Mannix than The Avengers or Fast and Furious any day
Man you are just so quirky and original
illaveyoubutler2 that’s you buddy
Wow your must be so intelligent.
Lol stfu
Tarantino Good, Action Movies Bad
Saw this movie 4 or 5 times in cinema, can't get enough, Cliff rocks!
One of the best Tarantino's movies for me !
With Inglourious Basterds and Hateful Eight 😎
Dont forget django unchained👌
Yes I watched Pulp fiction and Django, very good movies. But not my favorites. Not in my TOP 3.
But Pulp Fiction, Reservor Dogs and Kill Bill in next positions 👍
I agree! Except I have Django instead of the Hateful 8 in my Tarantino's top three.
NC DarK hateful 8 is one of his worst
@@hxnrytaylor I think this movie is very slow and long. But for me very attractive in script and dialogue, a good job on characters too 🙂
Quentin Tarantino knows how to make characters be so cool
Please give him the Oscar he deserves it
Those scenes with him just driving around LA, being cool, listening to radio...
I'd love to hear Tarantino go into more detail about that one detail (you know what I'm talking about)about Cliff that was just briefly mentioned in the movie... it ought to be a huge plot point but is almost an extraneous detail, I'd just really like to know what the thinking was behind it.
Say it
It was to give a reason why he was kind of an outsider in the industry, and to show that while he is a good guy he's also a little unhinged. After seeing what he did to the manson family at the end, I definitely think he did "it" lol.
I heard this was partially inspired by an incident in 1981 in which actress Natalie Wood mysteriously drowned while in the company of husband Robert Wagner. Might not be anything to it though
It's left ambiguous on purpose whether or not he pulled the trigger on his wife.
I thought it was clear why it was in. 1) To give reason why this, quote, "goddamn war hero" is an outcast and unwelcome, 2) To lay groundwork that this wonderfully laid back and charismatic individual who's so likable throughout could have a very real underlying dangerous side, 3) To reference Natalie Wood (This IS Quentin Tarantino, so come on, of COURSE it's a reference!), the circumstances of whom's death was never finally determined but steeped in rumour that her husband did it, 4) for very PURPOSEFULLY done moral ambiguity, because these characters aren't all good/all bad (except murderers at the end, given it never showed their brainwashing origin, and purposefully had Maya Hawk run away from the thought of committing murder) and 5) As a core characteristic trait for why Cliff is so accepting of his circumstances in life and happy to just 'be' - it's because at least he's not in jail so hey, could be worse!! That's also the point behind his line: "If I was going to go to jail over a woman, it wouldn't be because I wanted some poontang" and his "oh no" when pussycat flips off the police. He's literally just thrilled to live each day not in prison. That's the backstory as to why.
Ok, Cliff needs his own movie. I could watch this guy all day.
Behind the scene of the behind the scene
He was my favorite in the whole movie beginning to end. Brad killed it and i want to see more of a cliff booth character again.
I loved all the characters 🙌🏻
Cliff is one of the best character's (and Rick Dalton) I've ever seen on screen but the best thing about him is his laugh
Saw the movie three times, already preorder it on Apple TV.
Can't wait to buy the film
We need all of QT films in 4k
What I didn't like about their relationship, that despite being such a great friends, when on plane Leo's character wasn't even buying his friend a ticket in business class near to himself, despite being rich.
Максим Цыба probably to show the decline of them working together
Love everything about this movie
We want a Cliff Booth only movie!
Cliff Booth = when Achilles/Tyler Durden gets to middle age and moves into a trailer with a pitbull.
Best flick I have seen in forever!
Quentin needs to make a sequel to this great film or maybe just a film focused on Cliff.
Still waiting for the blueray
favorite movie of the last 10 years
With all the tensions around, this is probably the coolest, most joyous film of the year
Yeah yeah they have started it.pushing him for an oscar.
He deserves it
When is it releasing digitally???
Myself and all tilton buddies same as Pitt and still here.
The one thing that could have been better about this clip is if Cliff’s ”f*cking” wasn’t beeped out lol
i did love that movie
I became a Brad Pitt fan after this movie.
give brad an oscar...by order of the peaky blinders
One of the coolest characters ever on the big screen. Probably not the best but up there.
One of the best for sure.
One of the best Tarantino characters.
Absolutely
1:20 - way to censor the most important part of why the line is even good...
why the fuck would you even put that clip in if youre going to censor it...??
Guaranteed Oscar for mr Brad Pitt
The ending joke alone is worth the price of admission, everything else is awesome too but that joke made me laugh out loud
Anže Rabič what ending joke? When he was trying to remember the Manson guys name?
@@huntwray312 I'm not spoiling it, the pool scene
Anže Rabič I have already seen the movie lol but I know what you’re talking about
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
When is this on DVD??
Earliest possible release date is October 1st
🥰 Bradsy and Leo 💋
Please, give him an oscar already
Lol imagine this move actually offending you
People just pretend to be offended. Nobody actually feels that way if they're honest.
Imagine this movie entertaining somebody
I’m offended because it was so bad for a Tarantino movie
Jaime Sánchez so so bad
@Morgan Freeman His top 3 of the year maybe. I'm so sad I had to read that in that wholesome voice
I love leo in this but brad just steals the show 😁
😍😍😍 Okay, now that I got the heart emojis outta my system: Brad was freaking awesome in the film. He stole the show!!!
He got the Oscar!
❤
Legend, please👍
The Best American film of 2019

A masterpiece that will be discussed and dissected in years to come
@@illaveyoubutler2 have you seen it?
Of course....Once in digital, once in 35mm....waiting for the bluray....already read several insightful articles in the internet
I wonder if Brad Pitt used a stunt double for his stunt double character.
i lov u brad pitt
Best. Supporting. Actor.
the boys did good in this movie!!!!
DAVID HEYMAN WAS A PRODUCER FOR THIS?
Now I'm more hopeful for that Attack on Titan movie Warner Bros. has up their sleeve.
He' s what? 55 ? Fucking amazing.
Смотрели в оригинале. Только так. Тарантино только так 👍
Huh, I'd no idea Stuntman Randy's last name was Miller.
Wait, guys, who was Brad Pitt's stunt double for this movie?
🤙
I LOVED his performance, he was born to play that role, I hope he gets the Oscar.
I still don’t like the characters (how he presumably killed his own wife) but I cannot help myself to root for the character lol
I loved everyone in the movie except for Margot but Brad and the hippie chick did the best job!!
thought this was on set stuff :(
the real ones do it for the love of the game!
I was shitting my pants when he visited the Manson family
Ten moment kiedy Pitt pokazuje klatę #celowopiszępopolsku
Cliff was interesting
Hes like a more confident and mature tyler durden
Premio Óscar para Brad
"DON'T CRY IN FRONT OF THE MEXICANS"
holy shit feels wrong seeing david heyman sit in the producer chair and talk about a movie other than harry potter
was 1:02 in the movie?
Yes it was
Yes
Brad pitt makes me dubbious about my sexuality
My favorit foot fetish movie of all time
Cliff booth è fantastico!meglio di riki dalton!
he beats the shit out of bruce lol
For me the film was disappointing, however, the best part by far was Brad and his amazing charisma- I could’ve just watched him drive around fixing tv antennas for 2 plus hours and been satisfied
Oh no question Brad Pitt stole the show with his performance!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not behind the scenes...
Why did he beat up Bruce Lee?
Because he is Cliff FCKIN Booth!!!
way too much smoking and way too distracting.
stop censoring games sony while still making violent perverted movies, hypocrites.
Ain’t as cool as Ryan gosling in drive tho y’all need to chillll lol
Ryan Gosling isn’t cool… There’s no comparison.
Hope Brad wins best actor and not that stupid Joaquin Phoenix.
Lacklustre film.. pretty disappointed with it tbh.
What a terrible boring ass movie
i love quietens movies like everyone, but this is a piece of shit and i regret wasting 15$ on it
He killed his wife.
This movie sucked. Admit it
@ASAP.69 bruh MCU are the most generic people pleasing movies out there. Sure they're not bad but they certainly aren't even close to being masterpieces like this. In 50 years time nobody will be watching those marvel films.
Worst of Tarantino's film ever. Only the last 20 minutes you enjoying
