Good ! I was impatiently waiting this film ! It's Amazing because Leonardo DiCaprio ❤️ plays in this moovie , and it's so perfect ! I love all the films where Leonardo DiCaprio played !
And people say this movie didn't deserve best screenplay at the Golden Globes. I'm laughing. He started years prior to creating this movie to create the characters Rick Dolton and Cliff Booth. These characters have so many layers it's insane. The acting needs to be so incredibly complex. DiCaprio for example needed to act as a certain type of actor and even acted whole scenes in that character, while Brad Pitt as a stuntman needed to acr like he is Rick Dolton. Thats what makes it so unbelivably great. I absolutely loved that.
I'm probably in the minority here but I feel Brad Pitt definitely improved as an actor over the years. Watching him in his earlier roles from the 1990s and 00's like Cool World, Interview with the Vampire, Se7eN, and Troy, I thought his acting was stiff, forced, and unnatural. I'm not saying he was "bad." I just think his acting was not anything special. But now as a middle aged, more mature actor, he is 100% in control of his artistic expression and it's awesome to see. I can see him being the older suave gentlemen in roles that Cary Grant, Robert Redford, and Clint Eastwood did in the elder years.

Best movie of the decade-too bad we had to wait for the final days of 2019. I thoroughly enjoyed it, especially since I was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley.
Born in Burbank and raised mostly in Van Nuys, so you know I was smiling when Pitt drives into the old Van Nuys Drive In theater. I’m not old enough to have memories of it, but I remember seeing the vacant lot in the early 90s.
Perhaps your personal experiences made this movie more enjoyable. To each his/her own. Some movies I enjoyed a bit more than this one were: Little Women, The Two Popes, Metropolis (1927 silent film), Parasite
I'm glad Quentin was able to cast Brad & Leo for they work together in this movie, which is basically a love letter to Hollywood from the late 60's and despite Brad was the supporting actor, he actually stole the entire show.
I don't know if you guys are aware, but, I think Leo had wanted Brad Pitt to be in the movie, when Tom Cruise didn't come through for it, and he was happy to do it, so, I'd say people should thank Leo for subtly getting Brad in the movie. Quentin Tarantino ultimately decided to get Brad in, because, Leo was going to quit, unless they could find another talented actor for the part of Cliff, and he told him, he could put Brad in, and Leo totally agreed and decided to keep himself in the movie. So, he obviously, encouraged Quentin without actually saying the name, to put someone like Brad Pitt in.
I always love hearing these conversations which are so entertaining. P.S. Perhaps DiCarprio's foundation could be tweaked a little, or could be my computer's colour dial.
