The biggest weakness of Flexcil is that there is no auto back up options. I hope that they add this feature in the future cause there is a Flexcil version for android and auto back up will make it easy to access files from android as well
i agree.. i have flexcil, goodnotes and notability, so far i useflexcil for PDF reading and use the others for extracted pdf or note taking. the down side is, it doesn't support undo motion. other than that, it's all good ❤️
I like Flexcil. However I evaluated it and stopped using it for PDF annotating for the same reason as I stopped using Marginnotes and why I dont use GoodNotes. All these apps require you to use their own internal storage. It wont let you just open a PDF and annotate. It always imports it first. And I just dont get why. I have a very specific folder structure in iCloud for all my classes organized by semester and in these folders I have all material related to that class. I do not want my data spread in to storage areas of 4 apps making searching a nightmare. And even multiple copies of the same file. All these apps are encouraging bad file management practices that is guaranteed to create a problem of lost data.
Omg same problem. I still didn't get an iPad but from what ive seen there's no app that can do that. I use Drawboard PDF reader on windows and it does exactly what I want (for some reason text is a little blurry amd it doesnt support 2 windows view). But the tools are amazing and the highlighting tool highlights behind the text like a mulitply blending mode in photoshop.
I like using Flexcil since the 1st one but one thing that I don't like is when they move to Flexcil 2 and I can't move my notes (the handwriting one) to the 2nd version. Other than that, it's a good note taking app !
I have the older version of flexil. I'm not quite sure why I stopped using it, but from your video, a lot seems to have changed. I should go back 😎 ASAP
I'm new using a tablet as well as anything Apple and have been used to Sumatra PDF reader on my PC. I didn't think it would be hard to find a good one for the Ipad, but so far Flexcil is the ONLY one I've found that will open the contents/bookmarks in a column to the side of a PDF document. For using reference books, that is a feature I absolutely have to have. I'm seriously going to end up paying for this app just for that alone even if I never use any of it's other functions (One Note seems to be a better note taking app seeing as it syncs to all my devices. If Flexcil could sync to a Windows App, that would be amazing.
Noteful is also good and i have both flexcil and noteful, and i am still using noteful. The negatives of flexcil are there is no icloud backup option, and can not add page anywhere in a file, can only add from the last page.
Thanks for this. Helped me a lot in making my decision. The thing I wish Flexcil had is Dark Mode (inverting paper and text color), like Adobe PDF and Goodnotes have.
Great video! I just ordered the Samsung S8 Ultra and am looking for productivity apps as an educator to organise to deliver live lessons, if you have any other suggestions on anything android I'd love to know! 1. I do wish it was cross platform so I can also use it on my main computer, if I wasn't on my tablet. 2. I would love a feature where you can highlight a sentence or text then write a comment or discussion notes for a class that showed up in a side cart design which follows when you scroll more than just referencing. That would be a star highlight for me.
@@PaperlessX unsure if it does what I want it to do for a livestream and sharing the pdf highlights and I can see the notes to my lesson etc nothing is out there that does this, flexcil could be the one if they go that extra mile

Flexcil doesn't have pressure sensitive? I don't see in your notes on it. I thought apple pencil can annotate on every writing apps with pressure sensitive. .

@@watjes you should check out their videos, there’s so many more gestures besides those ones for flexcil

GoodNotes only has dark paper, but it doesn’t invert their colours though
@@PaperlessX Just bought it last night. Hope they add that feature soon.
Now I'm curious about flexcil vs Apple's books app
Hello, you mentioned a dictionary. How can we access it? Thank you!
It displays definitions for words, that's how you can access it.
So much potential, for requirements I have occasionally, if only I could find decent instructions and learn to use it!!

Will you be making an “end of the year” video for note taking apps? I love your content. Thank you!
We were planning on it, but I think we’ll postpone it to next year 😬
Actually i like Goodnote to annotate pdf. But I it can't show the pages i annotated. Seems like this is the app i am looking for
I am using it .. I love it .. it's mixture of PDF reader , liquid text and good note 5

is there a digital device that can copy a few lines from a text book or documents and
paste it on MacBook ???
Apple devices using the same Apple ID can copy and paste items across devices
Why the gestures don’t work for me even if i bought the premium version
