Thank you so much for this video. We finally found something that is better than notability. No shade on notability for I have used it for years, however noteful's hashtaging feature allowing you to better organize notebooks is too good to pass up. I also like the simplicity for exporting PDF's of notes. My notes show up correctly in the pdf and it looks great. I will be testing both this week to see which I prefer.
This video coupled with my own experience of using Notability, Goodnotes and Noteful is tipping me further towards going with Noteful. Interesting that you mentioned that your hand hurt while writing in Goodnotes. I don't know how hard I punched the doctor when I was born, but my hand does hurt a lot sometimes, because of which I use fountain pens or Pilot V5/V7 when using physical paper. When using Notability, this pain is not there. But when using Goodnotes (which I do love), it feels like wrestling an F1 car on the narrow streets of Monaco. Yes, that is an exaggeration, but the pain is there... I tried Noteful, and the writing experience was similar to that of Notability. I wish they add Onedrive as a service for backups.
Yeah! The pain when writing in Goodnotes has always been there. But I seem to have been the only one to get that. Glad someone gets what am talking about! 😃
I still love your explanation. Thank you for introducing the app Notetaking that I didn't know! At Notability, the most important thing for me is the voice recorder. Thank you very much.
now that they killed Notability with their new update , people are searching for another solution this may suffice. Notability is now dead, they ruined it
Yep! The only missing critical feature in Noteful is handwriting search ☹️ but everything else; the app’s got you covered. 😃 handwriting conversion too, but for that one there is a work around
I tried good notes and notability. But this app… something about the UI made me fall in love with it on first sight. An hour in to their little sample challenges thing so I could figure out how layers worked and I had already spent $5.
Notability was my first app I ever bought, I haven't used it for years and don't understand why people use it. It's missing so many features and is also the most expensive. It doesn't offer anything that other apps don't have and I really don't understand why anyone would even consider Notability at this point as there is even better free alternatives.
It has the audio recording feature, that syncs whatever the lecturer is saying with what you’re writing at that moment. It’s absolutely necessary for some people with certain disabilities and/or neuropsychiatric disorders. Main reason I’m still using notability. Starting my 6th school year with notability in a month
No, use Nebo when you need converted text. For example, if you know you will need to convert the notes of a specific document, use Nebo instead. So, our setup is that we use both apps.
I have GoodNotes, and I really love it, but I am not happy with they way they dealt with text. The text box was prone to move around because it is selected a bit too easily and I often make handwritten notes that need to be inline with the text. Also, I noticed that if I went to the pen tool and then back to the text tool, the text tool would be selected and when I started typing and then backspace to correct a typo, it would delete the whole text box. Undo wouldn't work in this case because, although it would bring back the text box, it would be missing the text I had just typed in. Also, it doesn't do audio and as I went back over my notes I wouldn't be able to remember exactly what was said. When I saw Notability, I was really impressed by the way it kept your notes synced with the audio, but I was really put off by the subscription model. I really hate that. Even though it's not a huge amount of money, I balked at being a slave to a subscription if I wanted to keep my notes. I looked around, but if I'm being honest, no other app that I found was able to sync the notes as nicely as Notability. Noteful is the only one that I found that came close. It syncs the handwritten notes nicely and contrary to what you stated, you CAN in fact skip to the point of the lecture by tapping on the notes in question. However, it doesn't keep the typed notes synced. SAD. I found that I could do a work-around by jotting down a quick handwritten note next to a block of text. Even a quick number works. It's not as good as keeping each word, but it's nice to be able to skip to a certain point. I'm not in love with it's ability to handle shapes, but for the most part I'm impressed by it's layering system which GoodNotes does not have. So the layering system and audio sold me on Noteful. I also looked at ZoomNotes, but like you said, it's way too complicated and unwieldy. I haven't completely given up on them, but for now, I'm satisfied with Noteful.
Yes, Noteful now skips through audio. That came in an update after this video. Noteful is a great alternative for anyone wanting to avoid the Notability subscription. Like you, all things considered... we're happy with Noteful :)
Hi! Nice vid. Does that app annotate PDFs? Does it have presentation mode? Is it easy to add pages or does it let a document have endless pages as Notability does? BTW, once Noteful becomes popular (assuming it does) they will adapt a subscription model too. All companies need to have sustained funding in order to keep improving. The number of new users buying in can't keep growing indefinitely.
We're working on a full review to answer all your questions :). Yeah, we get why subscriptions are attractive, we are just not sure developers are targeting the right market and their idea is unsustainable for end users. Applied well, it can work without disadvantaging users. And even then, not every app can pull it off.
@@PaperlessX You’re right about that. Not sure I’d want to pay $15/ yr for notability. There are far too many apps on my iPad to be paying big subs. Who are the main users of Notability? Students? Not gonna work!!!
I don’t use notability, but I was considering Noteful since Goodnotes it also going subscription with goodnotes 6 and GN 5 will only be suppler up until ios 18
I am searching desperately for a Notability replacement because the app has become impossible to use for me. It crashes all the time for diverse reasons and the devs have been unable to help. I have been reporting stability bugs through the years and they have still not been corrected. I have been a Notability user for 8 years using it in several devices. The main things I look for in a replacement app are: - Voice recording synchronized with the written text (I almost always use text input with the iPhone keyboard) - Picture import: I take a lot of pics in seminars and conferences from powerpoint slides projected while at the same time writing lots of notes. - Stability: I want to be able to record long sessions within the same note with pics and text input in the iPhone without the app crashing. A single note with 8 hours recording is not unusual if you are taking a course. - Apps for iPhone, iPad and macOS with the notes synchronized between devices using iCloud. I appreciate your help with this.
Have you tried Bear? Not sure if it syncs recording, coz we haven’t studied it in depth yet. But look into Bear or Noted. Since you want audio recording with Text. At the moment, Noteful doesn’t support audio syncing to text. We hope to get the feature soon.
Hi, thanks for the video. I would like to know how to change the background color in noteful. I found only three options, I want to have customed color or at least “pure black color”, the dark color in noteful is not a “total black”.
Reviews often note that Goodnotes can serve as a PDF reader; can I plan to use Noteful for that purpose (in addition to taking notes and adding comments to a PDF)?
Noteful uses tags instead of folders, which, IMO is brilliant: you can have a document with several different tags and find it under each tag you assign it.
Please refer to this to better understand how to create ‘folders’ in Noteful: howto.beingpaperless.com/docs/3-pro-hacks-to-organise-your-notes-free/#Tags
I finally bought Noteful (couldn't argue at that price although I am sceptical, with good reason, about 'lifetime' licences) since Notability still doesn't do folders and I am intrigued by the idea of layered notes. I'm also wondering if it can be a simpler Liquidtext for pdf markup. I'll soon be starting my language classes again after the summer break so I shall go full on with Noteful and see how it goes.
I'm also keeping an eye on other note taking apps in case Notability goes subscription only (it can happen and I do not do subscriptions). But still, for my purposes Notability is best. And mainly because of the audio recording feature. If I ever need to replace Notability then I know where to look Ropsy 😊 Thanks for the video 👍
Thanks for your great reviews. It would be nice if the handwriting and hand annotation capabilities are embedded into Obsidian and saves in markdown format
How can i scroll through pdf on noteful without marking? I cannot always change to the hand option and turn on the highlighter option. I dont use any pencil.. jst hands to go thru the pdf and highlight importance lines from pdf
Hey dude.... wondering about your first statement, "I've been looking for a replacement for Notability for years..."...... If I was a Notability developer I would simply ask, "WHY?". Notability was and still is the best... the audio is inherently better with it's graphical syncing with your notes... Noteful isn't "better" just because you don't find you simply don't use that feature in Notability! Having said all that, YES- the price is enuf for anyone to make the switch or start with Noteful if you're looking for a NT app. I personally have tons of notes in Notability so now I have to figure out how to either transfer all my notes (and recordings) over to Noteful or use two apps- which seems to happen way too often... switching apps really means using two apps at the same time, trying to remember which app has the notes/recordings you're looking for. Such as it is....Cheers
Mostly I have wanted to replace Notability because of its limited page customisation (specifically the lack of page rotation and the difficulty of using custom paper templates). Notability finally brought page rotation and still it doesn't rotate your ink. Page rotation has always been a big part of my note-taking workflow (I grew tired of physically rotating my iPad and locking my screen rotation to take notes). When they went subscription without proper page rotation, that (for me) was the straw that broke the camel's back. Out of frustration, I went looking for an alternative and found Noteful. Since going Paperless, I used Notability and never switched apps despite reviewing them, but with Noteful, I have finally made the switch and will cover how I've done that in another video. I have loved Notability's audio recording and its graphic sync is amazing (but I don't need it, never did. I just loved it but any audio recording with sync does the job for me). Hence the switch... in a nutshell, that is :)
@@PaperlessX Excellent. Thanks for the reply. For me, the lack of using a Mac app and syncing between keeps me with Notability. As well, not sure how to export the audio files from Noteful. I start my medical notes on my mac then followup in my exam rooms with my clients with the ipad so it's a nice workflow at least in my case. THANK YOU.
Noteablility is trash since subscription. It as well as PDF Expert. I’m saying this based on being an original owner back in 2015 of both. Had they grandfathered me in. Cool. But they did not. Which is why I moved on. Which I really don’t need it anymore since I graduated in 2018 grad school. Nevertheless. Subscription for OG owners is a terrible deal!!!
When copying and pasting, I sometimes have to tap the screen several times to get a paste prompt. Is this a known bug? Is there a shortcut to initiate the paste process?
We've reported that bug as well. The easiest way is to make sure the lasso tool is selected when you want to paste something. We haven't experienced it in a while though.
Hi. This looks like a nice tool. I’ll try it. I would have wanted to support you by buying a notebook or two, but I noticed at the purchase process that it seems my region is not included in your schedule. I’m based in Nairobi, Kenya. Perhaps there is a way to still purchase even though my region is missed out?
We looked into this… it seems Spring doesn’t support purchases from some African countries (not sure if it’s all countries). We’re looking into changing the platform the first chance we can.
Without the ability to skip through audio notes like you can in Notability I don't think I'll be switching, as it's one of the coolest features in Notability for my use. Looks pretty solid otherwise though. Also, does it have a Mac app? The fact that I can open up Notability and have all my notes synced there is also a feature I'd miss.
@@PaperlessX Can you suggest any other app that has true dark node? I don't wanna change the paper color, only wanna apply a dark mode filter at night time writing.
Hi. Thanks for your video. The only way to type text in Noteful is via textbox? If so, It's terrible. I tested a lot of things before buy it and considering this was like a standard feature (basic) in notability just select text, put the cursor in the line and just typing I thought this was the same in Noteful. Quite not happy with Noteful with the text box. I hope there is a way just put the cursor and typing the text. Thank you.
I really need to be able to jump to audio playback location by clicking on locations within my notes. That should be within text and on drawing and handwriting. I also need handwriting OCR to text and audio voice to text automatic transcription (and searching through both). Does noteful do these things?
Noteful's audio playback links only to handwriting and you can skip through it. It doesn't link to text, though and certainly doesn't have transcription.
I have used Noteful off and on over the last year and they have definitely made a lot of progress with each update. I still have not been able to figure out how to activate an external link once I add it to a text box, and how to change the order of the pen & highlighter colours I add to the tool bar. If someone knows how to do either of these two things, I would be grateful!
Noteful does not support external links yet, only hyperlinks. You also can't move around the colours on the toolbar. We have resorted to customising our colours according to the order we want them in.
@@PaperlessX Thank you very much. I got it. I’m 68 years young and it takes me some time to get where I want to go. This way is easier; so I may call on you more in the future to get a quick answer. Thanks.
I just have one question. All I use notability is to import my textbooks, then highlight and write notes within the page. Notability does not honor the page numbering in the PDF. Do you know if Notable can do that? For example, I want page 1 to page 15 in the PDF. If you can answer this, I will switch to Notable and definitely buy you coffee!!!
We don't have any experience with Windows apps yet. But we do know that you can get Noteshelf, Nebo and, GoodNotes on Windows. We haven't tried them ourselves, though, to know how good they are.
boy am I a pain!..... sorry, but b/ of you I'm taking a deep dive into Noteful and two things- is there a desktop (mac) version? I routinely use both the desktop and ipad versions of Notability to start a note then follow through on the ipad as I go about my day. As well, the SEARCH function!- If I have several pages of notes in Noteful (handwritten or Typed), the search feature does not find the terms I look for. This could be a deal breaker.
There is no desktop version for Noteful, but search is working. It highlights found terms and everything. Lol, Frank... I thought you were against Noteful...😂😂😂😂
I want to like this app but there are too many things missing, for example, you can’t click in a link because the app doesn’t recognize it as a link even if it is inside a text box (at least not that I know), I can’t duplicate something the only way I can do is if I copy and paste. I can’t group objects and there is no way to save favorite tools like pens and etc. I also can’t send a document or let’s say a pic from an outside app to Noteful like I do in notability unless I am in the app and then import the pic or file to Noteful. And finally it doesn’t convert hand writing to text. I love the fact the Noteful is not a subscription app. For that reason I purchased their app. Even if I don’t use them a lot I still want to support them.
I would like to see one more thing and that is I usually use it with multi-window always because i have a book or a study video open on the other side so when devided in half some of the applications the tool bar becomes very small like goodnotes …
It’s hard to explain. But each app has a different handwriting feel unique to its code perhaps. So, Noteshelf feels pleasant on some devices… but it lags in another. It’s easy to tell apart handwriting from different apps. So that effectively affects the user experience you get from each app
Does Noteful have a read only mode? I downloaded a hyperlinked planner into the App but I can't use the hyperlinks. I've tried searching for a button, but I can't find one. Help!
Hello! I've been thinking of buying noteful because collanote is heating my ipad after some time of writing. Do it have a "dark mode" like collanote? I coudn't find it... When i put the paper in dark color, i have to use white color on the pen, it doens't change the pen color based on the paper color automatically :/
Only CollaNote and ZoomNotes support true dark mode. Other note-taking apps don’t have it yet. They just use dark paper and white ink which you can’t switch
Which one is best among goodnotes 5 , notability and noteful , zoomnotes ? Please please any can suggest me any of these applications which one is best for notetaking
Noteful stoped writing ✍️ I can’t use my pencil on it I paid for and everything was fine for a 7 months I have all my notes on it How can I fix it Someone help me please 🙏🏻
This might help: 1. Try tightening the screw on the Apple Pencil tip. 2. Or try turning on *Draw on Hover.* More about that here: ruclips.net/video/JrvTbCv0i6Q/видео.htmlsi=JbmS6oKsayXcjkDL
Hi, thanks for your review😀. I‘m a digital planner on Zoomnotes, and I wonder if Noteful has an Calendar function and if the completed pages are exportable in a .png file in order to put it in a Photobook app, for a yearly photo album? Can I scroll the papers like a book, or horizontally? Thank you
No, Noteful does not have a calendar like you get with ZoomNotes. You can export your documents as images (JPEG). It supports both vertical and horizontal scrolling but it's not like you get with a book (2-page view and stuff).
We’re working on getting Android and Windows devices. With a Surface, OneNote seems to be everyone’s favourite. But we can’t say for sure unless we’ve tried them ourselves
We will cover this in a dedicated video. But in a nutshell, Notability format can’t convert to Noteful format. You can only export PDFs and images out of Notability
I’ve been using Noteful and it is wonderful but have issues with the search function. Goodnotes searches not only the titles but also inside the notebooks. Noteful seems to be only searching the titles and no content. Am I doing something wrong?
Hello 👋 As always I love your videos. Thank you! I got notability thanks to you - that was a few years ago. Do you have a series of how-to videos for noteful that teach how to use the elements and what you would use then for? E.g. this is how to create a thread of documents and you would do this to link together different topics that relate to the main one, for example etc etc. I have a disabled daughter and I’d love to teach her how to be organised in her studies but it’d be good to teach her what she can do and why that applies. Thanks again so much. I am hoping that you have the guides I need or are going to do them!! ❤️
Hello 😃 We are working on guides for several apps, and we’ll work on the Noteful one as well. The thread you’re talking about might work better in ZoomNotes though 🤔
We haven’t seen that. Have you tried rebooting your iPad? I havnt seen that. You can record a video of it and send to support@getnoteful.com for the developers to see the bug
I have a bit of an opposite experience. The app keeps crashing after i imported a 300 page file that i have been writing in goodnotes. The app seems to be not handling either more no.of pages or different page templates good. Good notes handles them like a gem in my view.
It must be a bug, have you tried rebooting your iPad? We've had no trouble with 600+ pages. That makes the first bug we've encountered or heard in the app.
@@PaperlessX It is a bug and I've reported it to the Noteful team They are working on it as per my communication with them. Yet to find a solution for it. But I found a workaround for the time being.
Thanks for the video! Is it possible to insert a pdf into a layer? I created an A3 landscape notebook, and I want the portrait pdf to take up the left side of the page. Or maybe you can suggest a way to do an equivalent of this?
Hi, I wonder if Noteful supports iPadOS’s multitasking. For example, you can have two Notability note on the same screen. For Notability, you can even have two instances of the Notability apps side by side. Does Noteful support that?
Finally!! I totally concur, Notability was a hype and there was a time when they were the best notetaking app but now there are so many better options
Yeah, a lot of apps are coming onto the market with much better promises :)

Yep! The only missing critical feature in Noteful is handwriting search ☹️ but everything else; the app’s got you covered. 😃 handwriting conversion too, but for that one there is a work around
I hope they bring out a MacOS version that synchs with the iPad.
Hope so too!
I tried good notes and notability. But this app… something about the UI made me fall in love with it on first sight. An hour in to their little sample challenges thing so I could figure out how layers worked and I had already spent $5.
Layers are awesome! We have a course for Noteful, you might find it useful: ruclips.net/p/PL34oOYN33i3X6Bj0mznSF7_hGsk6aewQL&si=L-Pz1DgkMvlMVIyi
I would like to see a more recent in depth update of this comparison.
@@nono-gw7qm Some other apps can do that too. The free version of Noteful can do that.
What should be pen settings for good handwriting? I actually love goodnotes because my handwriting there seems to be good.
Maybe our course can help you with that:
Pen tool: ruclips.net/video/Kr7p5ialQWo/видео.htmlsi=2TPxuucPEq0bK5EP
Somewhere you commented that one could use Nebo to convert Noteful documents to text. Can you show us a step by step workflow to do that?
How do i convert or export my notes in notability to noteful? When I stop my subscription to Notability will I lose access to my notes?
No ink to text conversion is a deal breaker for now.
Don't see a way to copy from the clipboard (as shared with a Mac)?
Copy sections?
@@PaperlessX Thanks! Copying from the clipboard does work after all. Just force a 'paste' flag on the page and it pastes from the Mac clipboard.
I use goodnotes and zinnia side by side and that will never will neeever change
I don’t use notability, but I was considering Noteful since Goodnotes it also going subscription with goodnotes 6 and GN 5 will only be suppler up until ios 18
I am searching desperately for a Notability replacement because the app has become impossible to use for me. It crashes all the time for diverse reasons and the devs have been unable to help. I have been reporting stability bugs through the years and they have still not been corrected. I have been a Notability user for 8 years using it in several devices.
The main things I look for in a replacement app are:
- Voice recording synchronized with the written text (I almost always use text input with the iPhone keyboard)
- Picture import: I take a lot of pics in seminars and conferences from powerpoint slides projected while at the same time writing lots of notes.
Could you pls tell how were able to transfer all your notes from notability to note-full???
I didn’t. Generally, it’s not wise to transfer your notes between apps, unless you don’t mind them being converted to PDF
Only thing missing in Noteful is the search option for pdfs...
It now has that feature
@@PaperlessX I can't seem to find it. Can u help
Hi, thanks for the video. I would like to know how to change the background color in noteful. I found only three options, I want to have customed color or at least “pure black color”, the dark color in noteful is not a “total black”.
At the moment we’re limited to the those three colours.
Reviews often note that Goodnotes can serve as a PDF reader; can I plan to use Noteful for that purpose (in addition to taking notes and adding comments to a PDF)?
Most note-taking apps are decent PDF readers.
Noteful not currently available on Apple's Macintosh App Store???
Yeah, it's not. It's only available for the M1 Macs
Can a moving marker accompany the voice recording ? This is a great feature in Notability.
Yes
Sorry, could you explain?
I don't know if I am stupid, but how do I create folders in Noteful???
LiquidText's setup might be difficult to replace with Noteful. But, the layers will be great for language notes :)
How do you transfer notes from other apps to noteful? And where do you leave the notes saved in noteful, is it in iCloud?
We'll do a video on moving to Noteful. The app saves your documents on your device and it syncs across devices
Anytime 😃😃😃😃😃
it now did lol
How to do the rotation of page, i just dont know how to get to see all pages as on 6:29
Four-squared icon at above the pen tool
Thanks for your great reviews. It would be nice if the handwriting and hand annotation capabilities are embedded into Obsidian and saves in markdown format
That would be cool indeed
How can i scroll through pdf on noteful without marking? I cannot always change to the hand option and turn on the highlighter option. I dont use any pencil.. jst hands to go thru the pdf and highlight importance lines from pdf
Scroll with two fingers
THANK YOU.
To export, in Noteful, tap the three-dots icon on the recording > Export. Yeah, in your case, Notability does make more sense.
I love this app! Please give me hiperlink on/off option....
The app doesn't have that option
Thank you for your support, we appreciate it. Not sure why your region is not supported though 🤔. We’ll look into it and get back to you.
It doesn't have a mac version yet, just an iPhone one. Yeah, skipping through audio is very important.
@@PaperlessX also NS still doesn't sync very well several years later
Wish there was a dark mode conversion feature.
The app doesn’t have true dark mode, just dark mode papers.
@@PaperlessX Can you suggest any other app that has true dark node? I don't wanna change the paper color, only wanna apply a dark mode filter at night time writing.
ZoomNotes and Notability.
@@PaperlessX sadly, both of them are costlier. :(
Yes they are, sorry :(
@@PaperlessX Hi now do you add hyperlinks?
Ty for your good informative veds. I got GoodNotes I lost all my notes. How I can retrieve those note..Ty I will shift for these.
Did you have a backup for your notes? You can restore them from the backup
Looks like it doesn't have the ability to save favorite tool settings like Notability? At least I couldn't find a way in the free version.
It doesn't.
Brilliant!
I prefer way more paying for a life time than a subscription, thanks for the video
That is better.
Hi Ropsie. I have a question. How can I import files from “Pages” (*IOS) into Noteful app? Notability does not seem to have that problem.
Export a pages document into Noteful, you mean? You have to export a word document out of the app, not use the traditional sharing icon.
We responded to you on the website already explaining all the possible options you have with this.
Notable??
I need a notetaking app that creates small files like notability.
howto.beingpaperless.com/docs/note-taking-faqs/#What_apps_create_small_files_like_Notability
Can we click pdf with hyperlink? I have planner template and usually used it in goodnotes.
Yes you can. You have to long-press the hyperlinks with your finger
@@PaperlessX thx I will buy it then
Is there any way to add links of web pages...?
Not yet, no.
Brother make a video on Goodnotes 5.9 now it’s free but I purchased that a year back what if I update now I need pay again 🥺
You don’t need to pay for the new update of GoodNotes
hi could you suggest noteful alternative for windows.
This app should give some features of one note - like arranging the notes...one sub topic one page / one section
OneNote is the only app with that setup, we haven't seen any other app like it
I agree that Zoom Notes is complicated. This is why I never used it for a long period at time either.
For hyperlinks, you have to long-press.
I would like to see one more thing and that is I usually use it with multi-window always because i have a book or a study video open on the other side so when devided in half some of the applications the tool bar becomes very small like goodnotes …
how does goodnotes hurt your hand when writing when it's both screen writing please explain
It’s hard to explain. But each app has a different handwriting feel unique to its code perhaps. So, Noteshelf feels pleasant on some devices… but it lags in another. It’s easy to tell apart handwriting from different apps. So that effectively affects the user experience you get from each app
Hey, only for iPad still! Come on developers!!
would you please to advise us with the most perfect notes taking app you have ever used???
There is not a “perfect” note taking app.
True. That would be different for everyone, depending on what you need.
Does Noteful have a read only mode? I downloaded a hyperlinked planner into the App but I can't use the hyperlinks. I've tried searching for a button, but I can't find one. Help!
Long press the hyperlinks
@@PaperlessX Thanks!

Can you import your notability notes into noteful ?
Hi, thanks for your review😀. I‘m a digital planner on Zoomnotes, and I wonder if Noteful has an Calendar function and if the completed pages are exportable in a .png file in order to put it in a Photobook app, for a yearly photo album? Can I scroll the papers like a book, or horizontally?
Thank you
No, Noteful does not have a calendar like you get with ZoomNotes. You can export your documents as images (JPEG). It supports both vertical and horizontal scrolling but it's not like you get with a book (2-page view and stuff).
Nice video again Ropsie, thanks.
Welcome
do you have a best app for windows/android users, I have a Surface Go.
We’re working on getting Android and Windows devices. With a Surface, OneNote seems to be everyone’s favourite. But we can’t say for sure unless we’ve tried them ourselves
is it save application for important notes?
Can we select PDF text?
No, you can’t
How do you get all your notes and recordings from Notability to Noteful? aaaahhhhhaaa!!?!?!
Lol! We'll cover that in a different video
How do I export my notes in notability to noteful?
We will cover this in a dedicated video. But in a nutshell, Notability format can’t convert to Noteful format. You can only export PDFs and images out of Notability
What do you think of CollaNote?
Working on a review for that
I’ve been using Noteful and it is wonderful but have issues with the search function. Goodnotes searches not only the titles but also inside the notebooks. Noteful seems to be only searching the titles and no content. Am I doing something wrong?
Universal search is limited to titles, yes. You have to open the notebook to search for its content.
Very good software. Recommended 🤜👍👌
Seems promising but I doubt I will switch since I got permanent license on Notability eventually.
Hello 👋
As always I love your videos.
@@PaperlessX we use the record feature for everything really on notability - so if we change app it has to have this!
Hi, I had a problem with eraser, a square appears and disappears after erasing my lines, do you have the same issue?
We haven’t seen that. Have you tried rebooting your iPad? I havnt seen that. You can record a video of it and send to support@getnoteful.com for the developers to see the bug
I get the same issue, but only when erasing with more than one layer, if that makes sense
You can't add items to layers like that. OneNote is your best shot for that.

Hi, I wonder if Noteful supports iPadOS’s multitasking. For example, you can have two Notability note on the same screen. For Notability, you can even have two instances of the Notability apps side by side. Does Noteful support that?
Noteful does support multiple instances
I bought Zoomnote because of you!!! And now, you switched to another one?
We switch apps all the time. That’s how we study them. Hopefully ZoomNotes was a good switch for you.
notability was also one time price in the beginning lets hope noteful won't take the same path
That path is an uncool one!
