Hi bro why don’t you make review on notability14…..every single user is suffering due to floating toolbar & overall redesign…..youtubers should review & intervene
Nathan, I am a VERY old lady, and wanted to learn to use Notability for Bible study. Your video was excellent!! Thank you so much. You are a good speaker, made the material succinct and useful.
So glad to have helped Donna! Best of luck using it :)
Salute! Never too old to learn😀
Very well presented and easy to follow. Showing how to do things that you talk about is exactly how it should be done. Thank you for the time and effort you put into this.
Thank you I really appreciate it! :)
Thank you! I learned two things: changing style in lasso tool and importing a note on the side of another note. As an educator, this was helpful!
I’ve been using Notability for work for about 2 years, and I didn’t know 3 of these tips! Thank you so much for sharing these.
You're very welcome! Glad I could help :)
Thank you so much for this! I’m applying for nursing school and thought about using notability and this has helped a lot!
You're very welcome, I'm gad I could help! And best of luck with nursing school :)
I have been using Notability on and off for years, and I didn’t know most of the tips. Excellent. Thank you.
Glad to have helped Allan 😊
very helpful Nathan.Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for such a succinct easy to digest tutorial - really helpful.
You're very welcome, I'm glad it was helpful :)
This was such a good overview of the features! Thanks :)
You’re very welcome Achala! Glad I could’ve helped :)
I 'm new in this world of note-taking apps. This is by for the best explained video, very useful
Thank you 🙏🏻😊 for showing us a quick note taking with notability🎉🎉 very well presented and easy to follow 😊
You're very welcome, glad to have helped :))
These are genius tips! I purchased both Goodnotes & Notability, but have only been using Goodnotes for a coupe of years. I think I might try out Notability this year 🙂
I'm glad you enjoyed the tips! And I'd say definitely give it a shot, I like both applications and you might like notability more than GoodNotes 5!
This is impressive. I wish I had known this when I was in school. I have shared this with others.
Thank you for sharing it! :)
Thank you, Nathan! What a awesome video. It was especially helpful seeing how you apply each tip or trick to a "real" set of your lecture notes. I learned a lot. Great speed of delivery, terrific content, and super style. You're a born teacher. Can't wait for the next one. (How is your writing on the iPad so neat? I find mine deteriorates w/the pencil on glass. Any tips?) Thanks!
Thank you so much Priya, I really appreciate the feedback! And honestly, I feel like my handwriting has its moments, sometimes it’s more neat than others but I also try to make it as neat as possible. If some letters come out bad I will erase them and do it over, and I also always use the straight line feature. So any lines I want to make I’ll hold the pen down for a second and it snaps to a perfect line. Just little things like that to make my notes neater
Use a matte screen protector. ZAGG has them if you don’t mind the premium price. Paper like is also a common one. You can find cheaper ones on a,Aaron that do the job great. I bought a 2 pack of a random brand to try it out before getting my ZAGG screen protector and jt works great.
@@kaylenebourne37 you mean that using Matt screen protector is more easier than normal one?
Great video, thanks so much! Learned a lot.
You're very welcome David! Glad to have helped out :)
thanks for the video :) I cant wait to use these tips!!
Of course, best of luck using Notability :)
Great video! I’m a new iPad owner and this was very useful. Is there a way to move an entire section down without overlapping what’s below it? I make notes before class, then during lecture I want to be able to add notes. But often there’s not much room. Can we push the entire document down some?
This was an amazing video!! Thank you so much! 😊
My pleasure 😌
Such a big help! thank you !
You're welcome! Glad to help 🤗
Many thanks for your full info according this app , I am following you from Egypt
So helpful thanks!
Thanks man! Note switcher was awesome😊

Very useful, thank!
I'm glad it was! Thank you :))
I am new to this as of 30 minutes ago and this is going to help me so much. Thank you
Glad to have helped, you get the hang of it pretty quick especially if you use it a lot :)
Great video 🤙
Cool man. Thanks
Hello, I would like to know how to make the calendar you have on your home screen on the iPad with notability thank you in advance.
Some of the tips were new for me, thanks you
You’re welcome, my pleasure to help :)
Wow i wish i knew about the split view and favorites bar earlier, thank you!
The split screen is such a great feature! Glad to have helped :)
Thank You so much 🧡

Thanks! I really liked your video! Love the way you set up your video. Which app did you use?
Thank you I really appreciate it :). And what do you mean by which app?
Thanks for this! One note - you can actually just hold and drag the notes out of the note switcher instead of messing with the ellipsis.
Excellent tips.
Thank you! Glad I could have helped :)
Superb video thank you!
No thank you 😇🙏🏻
Thanks for the tips!😊
You're very welcome Lucy! Hope I helped a little :)
Great video Nathan I really enjoyed. Instead of camera I use the shared clipboard between Mac and Ipad, take a screenshot and paste into Notability. That works less well with a physical whiteboard! 🤣
Thank you I appreciate it! And whatever works for you :)
Thanks for all the tips!
Would be great to see how Notability works with both iPad and Mac through Universal Control
You're very welcome! :) and yes that will be really cool. Hopefully more features than just mirroring. I would love to be able to drag over a whole note document onto my laptop and then open a different one on my ipad to write on!
Love your videos. Just wondering how much storage would you recommend if I’m purchasing an iPad for someone starting a college engineering degree? Thank you
Thank you I really appreciate the kind words! And it definitely depends on what you use it for. If you are strictly using it for note-taking, homework, and media consumption, then 128 will be plenty. My iPad is 128GB and still have a lot of storage left. It's when you get into more creative isles with your iPad that you might want to consider more storage such as music production, video or photo editing.
So very helpful. Thank you!,
'🎉
My pleasure 😌
Nice video, keep the great work!
Thank you bro! This is just the beginning
Hi, thanks for your VDO it’s awesome. But I can’t have toolbars like you, I can’t find the star in the left corner. How can I find it. PS. I still use the free version. Thanks heaps ❤
Thank you ! 💕

How to make the canvas(page) bigger so i can fit more information in?
If I’m a teacher, do u know if I can force students by hyperlink to open a quiz but only have it open as a half page with writing option to solve a math problem on the other half of the page?
You did a great job of explaining what I needed to understand. Thank you John 14:6
Thank you very much! Glad to have helped :)
Where did you get those grid template
🔥🔥
Love your instructions…
Thank you so much! :)
Hi, Thank you for your video. Could you please let me know what to use to add notes while listening to a RUclips video. I would like to teach my students how to take notes while watching a video and I need to make a presentation to give them a desmonstration. Just like what you do in your video. Thank you
Great video.
Thank you! Really appreciate it :)
Hey man great vid once again, what are different use for your colours?
Thank you my good sir! And I use the different colors just to help organize all sections/ notes for each specific class. But if you were talking about the pen colors, then I use those to highlight different types of notes (purple for equations, red for important information, blue for side notes, and black for my general notes).
@@NathanLemoine thanks man !!!
I bought the $20 pink knock-off pencil from Amazon and when I use it it doesn’t allow a line it always perforates it so it’s never as crisp , should I have not gotten it?
Another banger mate
One of the OG’s Arron 🙏🏻 much love
@@NathanLemoine haha thanks, your channel growth is mad. Your literally, killing it!
Nathan. I am 75 years old. Your presentation was absolutely AWESOME! Great job...and so easy to follow. If I could send you $3.000....well...since I cant, I won't. Still. Well done!
Thank you Nathan
My pleasure, hope it helped!
Nice video. I used to use nothing but notability but have switched over to apple note for the last months. Im curious though, at the beginning it appears that you have notability as a widget on your iPad. Notability does not show up in my widgets. how did you do that?
Thank you! And sadly it’s not a notability widget, I have a large Apple calendar widget, the weather, and 2 separate reminders widgets
@@NathanLemoine awesome video. How did you open notability in the beginning?
Like this explanation thanks
You're very welcome :)
Really Good presentation
Thank you Mark, I really try to make my videos easy to follow :)
Hello, does it have the option of showing how notes are written or taken?like a video recording., thanks
If you use the voice record feature while taking notes (lets say during a meeting or a class), then as you replay the voice recording after, it will show what notes you took as exactly what time during the recording. Pretty cool feature :)
Nicely done…
Thank you!!!😊
excelent !!
Thank you, glad to have helped! :)
I’m going to support you dude
Much love, appreciate it! 🙏🏻
Thx for this. Is there a way to organize by the day? To go back to a particular day and see your notes? All the organization seems to be by file name - not by calendar/day.
Yes you can. At the top of each subject/divider if you scroll up to the top you will see a list/gallery view at the top left and on the top right are two arrows that go in different directions. Press on the arrows and you can sort your notes alphabetically, my the date your notes were last modified, or by the date they were created! :)
Where do you store your notes in relation to local memory?
What is this default paper u have inside the video called
It's Notabilities basic Grid template that you get for free. And I use mine on spacing size 2!
I feel bad that your not getting enough views/likes/comments
Its alright, I'm not focusing on the numbers right now, just trying new things and focusing on making each video better than the last. But I really appreciate the support :)
How did you get notability as a widget? I can’t seem to find a widget for it. BTW, great video.
Thank you very much Hilde! And I do not have a notability widget unfortunately. You probably saw either the Apple calendar, Apple reminders, or Procreate widgets. Those are the only ones I have and don't believe notability has any :(
@@NathanLemoine Ok thanks... it really looked like you tapped on that widget and it just opened. Thanks for getting back so quickly.
Nice Video
Thank you very much 😌
Hi, Nathan: One thing bugs me a lot about Notability. It doesn't allow same names for different files in different subjects. For example, I have two subjects - math 101 and physics 100. For each subject, I took lectures throughout the term, and will label them as Lecture 1, lecture 2, etc. But I can use the same name such Lecture 1, Lecture 2, etc. for both math and physics courses, and have to rename them. Otherwise Notability complains. How do you deal with this problem? I understand Notability wants to track each file independently, but I don't like it. What else should I name it besides Lectures?
Are you using the “subject” folder to name your subjects. If so, use the divider instead, then you rename your folders however you want
I ran into this issue to until I used the divider to group my classes, then inside those dividers I made “subject” folders
So it goes like:
(Divider) Math
->(subject) Notes
-> (subject) Syllabus
(Divider)English
Same thing.
You get the point.
You can drag the subject ONTO the dividers.
@@russt4779 Thanks Ardle. That may work, but I already used dividers for time purpose, e.g. Fall term 2021. Thus the courses falls into the subject category for each term. Even if I use Math as dividers, I may want to use Math100, Math200, Math300, etc. as subjects. and the problem persists.
@@twilight7457 I would make a Math divider and inside that, I would make another several dividers (Math 101, 102, 200) and inside those subdividers, you can use subject for like Notes, syllabus, etc
@@russt4779 Thanks, I will try that.
Shouldn’t it be subject as the main (as in a class subject)and then dividers ….instead of dividers and subjects…just an idea
Ayooo 7:50 that heat transfer right?
Haha yes it indeed is 🥵
Back in my day subjects and dividers were called “folders” on my computer. Feeling old.
Hi bro why don’t you make review on notability14…..every single user is suffering due to floating toolbar & overall redesign…..youtubers should review & intervene
Hoping to get around to it soon, been quite busy in life recently and it’s techtember now so maybe in October!
Are you using notability plus?
No I have the “classic” version since I bought the app before they switched to their subscription model!
@@NathanLemoine would you suggest to subscribe?
When you have 2 notes open and you lasso, you should be able to drag it from one note to another.
You can copy and paste, same thing essentially he does it at 9:25
I just tried and you cannot drag from one note to another using the note switcher, but copying and pasting works!
Great app totally ruined when the Dividers suddenly vanish!!
Is this free?
bro stop talking with your chin to the camera
noteful is even better!
that was really good, I was going to subscribe but I noticed you were a Bruins fan, its just not in my blood :(
Ahhhhhhh go B's!!!! Hahaha, what's your team?
