The Shadows have some really great songs, and I’ve been playing them on my guitar. “Apache”, “Wonderful Land”, “Atlantis”, “Theme for Young Lovers”, “The Rise and Fall of Flingel Bunt”, and “The Theme from The Deer Hunter” are my most favorites.
I love the Shadows deeply, but on a question of style, why as late as 1967 was Bruce Welsh sporting a 1963 vintage Beatle haircut that looks as if it's been glued down on his head. Hank on the other hand looks cool, as always.
Well spotted, not a guitar I’ve seen before, when Baldwin bought Burns in ‘65, we started with Baldwin-burns issues and then Baldwin nameplates slapped on instead of burns, when the cost cutting came in ‘67 the scroll neck was changed for a flat one(part of the cost cutting) in this video it looks carved to me so looks like a burns neck on the new ‘67 era Baldwin body, happy to be corrected tho just my thoughts 👍

Young Brian Bennett is so cool with those drum fills, like not a worry in the world. A tune from my school days
Listening to this for the first time since I was a kid. Every nite comes back to me.
Great band ,the drummer is a top class act as well as the guitarists
They were the inspiration for me to start playing guitar!!

Man of Mistry is worth a go. 👍🏻
Cool song. Enjoyed the dancers too, especially the one on the left.
Yes good choice
That is a great performance.
Hank Marvin was born for the guitar, and the guitar was made for Hank Marvin. Period!
Hank And Bruce playing Baldwin versions of the Burns Hank helped design. Note the 'missing' piece of scratch plate on the top horn.
so cool
This is from Bandstand in 1967 during Australian tour. Great with Burns guitars 👌
Mein Lieblingsstück in den 60ger
I STILL HAVE MY LITTLE RECORD "45"
Amazing
No flashing lights , no fireworks, mostly just good music...
The 2 birds ?
@@brain8484 Did not notice the GO GO GIRLS, HMMMM.
This is awesome 😁 the one girl on the right is a sweetie. Love the 60's go-go element to it.
Classic
They do be grooving tho
For a moment i thought Hank and the girls without pants🙈

Mu first thought watching this video was "Drummers know where to stick it".
👏👏👏👏
I’m reading a book where the victims, before they got murdered, receive phone calls with this song. 🙂
TOO CREEPY!!!
It's woman with a birthmark by Hakan Nesser
Hank and Bruce playing Baldwin guitars and John playing a Burns??

BALDWIN Marvin prototypes for the Australian tour. Never to be seen again.
John uses the BURNS 4-string-bass in this video before it was rebranded.
@@georgpaur3335 Really? He will have a problem unless he's using it in heaven! He died some time since cos Bruce found him dead at his home.

The girls got that drum riser shakin'!
At first glance... I thought Hank wasn't wearing trousers! LOL
I enjoyed this as well, even though the actions are so wooden and like watching paint dry.
Want you to know who the lead guitarist is, he's wearing the light colored pants. Thank you
Good video, but The Shadows are dubbing the song
The dancers are just ice cream on the berry pie, because a song with this much rhythm
should have ecstatic dance companions. mum 60 is 1/2 right.
Good performance. I don't think we needed the dancers, though, males would probably disagree! :-)
Those dancers wouldn't raise anybody's blood pressure. I would not pay them a dime.
Notice back in those days there weren't too many fat band members😁 or dancers for that matter
Funny.. you don’t associate Shadows music with GO Go dancers.
Brian’s miming isn’t very accurate..🙂
It's a wonder he can concentrate with the dancers being so close.
Go-Go dancers wear less clothes than that with tassles in strategic places!
