Excellent version of this great song written by Scotty Wiseman of The National Barn Dance on WLS out of Chicago. Most know him as the husband half of Lulu Belle & Scotty singing duo but Scotty was a great songwriter too. He wrote what could well be the premiere country song of all time: "Have I Told You Lately That I Love You". Besides LLB & S's original version, I think T. Texas Tyler's recording is considered the definitive version of " Remember Me". Thanks for the posting and loved the photos, especially liked Mac Wiseman in his younger, slightly thinner days.
I really love this one Gloria..Just perfect..I absolutely love those old ones...Simply the best....Thank you so much for uploading...Going into my favourites...
Hey Gloria, My father played harmonica with Shot Jackson, Jim & Jesses dobro and steel guitar player. Dad and Shot grew up in South Georgia and Shot dated my aunt. I can remember him coming by our house in Virginia when we were children , I think he was touring with Roy Acuff.at that time. He and my father would spend the day playing music they played together as teenagers. My twin and I would often stop by and see Shot at his Sho-Bud factory , above his music store in Nashville, when ever we were in the area doing concerts. Thanks for bringing back some great memeories !! - FLOYD
Mr Floyd, maybe you can answer a question for me. My banjo is made by Sho~Bud but I can't find anywhere of Sho~Bud making banjos so I don't know when it was made!
timtusphil1 Tim, I have no Idea, I know Shot sold other instruments in is store in Nashville, perhaps it was made by another company and Shot worked a deal to buy them and market them with the Sho-Bud name. If I can find out any thing about Sho-Bud Banjos I will Let you know!! Have a blessed Christmas my friend !! FLOYD
