Absolutely! Resolve is so damn good and cheaper in the long run. I was on premiere before and never looked back. The colour grading tools are irreplaceable for stock plugins. Do you have the free version or the Studio?
agreed. 60 per second instantly look amateur for some reason. would be cool if there was a plugin that could randomly cut between footages that you provide. I've bought a Canon 600D more than ten years ago, but I am to shy to do videos, so I've never got to use it for shooting videos. It's probably very outdated tech by now, but it's probably better than my phone, right?
100% better than your phone. Which lenses do you have for the EF system? If you Multicam it, it works really well. You’ll see in the next video coming out in a few days. And that’s also why I don’t often like to show my face in my playthroughs. It’s more about the music than me

Oh yeah. I mainly subscribe to camera channels and some of my favourite photographers are still using 10 + year old cameras. It’s actually all about the lens and the lighting. I’ve watched people make Gatorade commercials with that classic rebel T3i everyone had haha. I’d imagine you have a 50mm 1.8 as it’s the classics for the canon system. Even if you use your phone you’ll get good results but likely you’d need to make sure your background is dark as phones done so Depth of Field well at all.

@southisaac id say so for sure. Then it leaves room for you to get creative with lighting where as the top lights don’t really give you much room and always leave those bad shadows that give you raccoon eyes
At that price point you won’t get great autofocus performance so you’ll have to rely on manual focus. I would suggest the Lumix GH4 or GH5 if you can get a gh5 at that price. And look out for one with V-LOG (higher dynamic range profile). The gh4 may be a better option at that price as you’ll need a lens and a light as well. Lighting and lens choice are much more important than the camera itself. Buy everything used. GH4 plus a couple of cheaper prime lenses (likely the Lumix 20mm f1.7 and if you have budget for something in the 40mm-60mm range - keeping in mind that since it’s a crop sensor camera, a 20mm becomes a 40mm equivalent so double all those numbers) Also there are a lot of third party super affordable lenses for the m43 system. Godox makes a really affordable sl60 light which would be great start. If you want RGB light, Neewer are fairly affordable and you can battery operated them, but they’re not very bright. I would go, gh4, Lumix 20mm f1.7 to start (or 2 super budget prime lenses of different focal lengths and higher aperture) and the Godox sl60 + a softbox Lmk if you have any other questions.

If I watched this before going to film school back in the day I would've saved 4 years of my life and $30k.
Hahaha yeah I’ve heard film school can be quite a waste of money in a lot of situations unfortunately. But great for making connections and networking

Yeah fender’s are quite light but just as heavy as they need to be. How do you like the guitar?
So is it best to start with a dark room? My room is bright just by having the regular ceiling lights on.
Definitely start with those ceiling lights off. They’ll make it look extremely flat
