    It amazes me how you can see a piece that is such a mess it would end up in some trash heap for anyone else, and then end up with something like this. Nice work, Katie!

    Hi Katie, Rozanne from Australia here ☺️ Absolutely love your RUclips channel and look forward to each and every one 👌Do not take any notice of the ridiculous people that do not find true value in all you do. You are a true artist that restores magic to potential landfill and therefore saves our environment each and every time you complete a piece. I thank you personally for this wonderful gift that you share so generously with enthusiasts of the restoration world. Blessings always - Rozanne from down under. 😊

    I'm usually anti-painted MCM furniture because it's so beautiful in the original wood, but this was so damaged you didn't have much of a choice and you did it in such an understated, classy way. Really love the final piece.

    I'm so happy to have found you on RUclips. You inspire me to revive my long-buried hobby of redoing/flipping furniture pieces. I remember living as a poor, young, single mother in Brooklyn New York many years ago and not having much money, I would buy cheap second-hand pieces and redo them. I loved doing this and would receive so many compliments, most importantly, this is how I was able to furnish my tiny apartment. Fast forward many years later, my sons are all grown up and I'm living a good life. I've got a few old pieces in the attic that I'll be starting with. Greetings from the UK

    I want to give you a little paint-saving tip. Before poring out paint or dipping in your brush, take a nail and hammer three or four holes on the inner lip. Paint drains back into can rather than spilling over the sides. One more: In addition to the nail holes, and if you are using a brush to dip into can, take a heavy duty rubber band and stretch from bottom of can to middle of opening. Then you can drag brush across band to remove excess paint. Really enjoying your flips.

    • @salvagedbykscott
      @salvagedbykscott  4 года назад

      Thanks Alice! I almost never brush but when I do I pour my paint into a separate container to prevent contamination. I usually just scrape extra paint with my finger before I reseal but I’m a messy painter no matter what I do 😂

    This paint is very good and affordable. I just finished painting my bedroom furniture, seven pieces total, in grey and white and it came out beautiful. I only spent $100.00 in paint and have leftover for another project, a kitchen island bought on Facebook. Great job restoring that piece. We should be doing that more often instead of buying new. Good for the environment and our economy.

      @@salvagedbykscott The problem I had with it is that it dried too fast. I could only work in small segments at a time, so it was more labor intensive. This looks so much better to work with. Thanks.

    Hello from Kansas City, Mo USA! Your channel came up as a RUclips recommendation and I am so glad it did. I have been painting furniture for a few years, just as a hobby, and selling pieces. I have really started selling them now for replacement income. I love painting pieces. I hate distressing pieces. This piece is one of my favorites so far. MCM, sexy legs, no distress look, just beautiful. You have a knack for letting the piece shine on its own. I have learned from you, which I hope you take as the compliment I mean it as.
