This 1950’s television cabinet had already been repurposed into a very crude storage cupboard but I think I can do better with some new shelves and a little paint. For this makeover I’ll be using Ben Moore ADVANCE instead of my usual chalk paint and I decided that this would be good project to put down my spray gun and use a roller so it's also beginner friendly. Let’s GO!

I love it too! I so wanted her to also paint in the circle in the center back with the dark blue, but no criticism. Because this is a beautiful piece and done exceptionally well 😍 and I know that would have been a very tough tricky spot to get right without getting it on the vintage backer board too. So I respect the choice not to

Hi, I am impressed with your level of professionalism and care that you take and then donate to someone in need. It is so important that people in difficult circumstances have good furniture not always being given hand me down third or fourth rate furniture, making them feel even more marginalised. Plus you have such good when turning these pieces into something so practical AND beautiful. You are truly a generous and good hearted person. Thank you for sharing.

OMG, the knife hinges. I’ve just gone through hours of hell trying to get the hinges onto to antique buffet I picked up on the side of the road. Some of thing hinges were attached but others were removed and just left in a drawer. Since they look handmade they’re not all identifcal and not really interchangeable so it was really difficult to figure out where they went and how they worked. I was so close to giving up, and just putting on new hinges but I slept on it and the next morning managed to work it out. I know appreciate how they are hidden, etc but I’ve learned to never take off hinges without carefully marking them etc for reinstalltation.
