Bobby, buy the biggest goose decoy you can and lay under that for a hunt. When I used to hunt a long while ago we made lay down blinds with a magnum goose on a hinge, cut some slots in the top so you can see out.
This helped a ton.. would love to see more videos on setting up in the decoys and with side winds, etc.!!

Would love to see some Snow goose setups. Them bad boys got me ate up and I'm starting to hunt them on my own.
Not only should the wind be blowing in from behind on a clear sunny day sunrise should be behind you as well. I use a portable frame blind which I set up according to the wind sunrise and topography. Geese prefer to land on high spots plus the higher up your decoys are the greater the visibility.

Can you do some floating duck spreads
Bobby, do you ever recommend putting decoys around you to block the blinds a bit say in a layout blind?
What do you recommend for percentages of decoys in the spread? Full bodies, silos, socks? 33% each and equal? More of one than the other? Just getting into it and my buddies have some full bodies but I’m looking to expand our spread

Bobby get some of that sticky grit tape for that door. You can stick it down on the door and helps so you don't slip and hurt yourself.

Hey Bob, I’ve tried doing some research on this, and you’ve said they are pretty much the same thing, what is the difference visually in hand a lesser and a cackler. In my flyway we pretty much only see honkers, as far as Canadian goose is concerned. I’ve only seen 1 cackler, and I shot it and thought it was a baby honker and that I had bad karma coming my way, I also got it mounted because as stated earlier for California they are kinda rare. I only know 2 other folks in California that have shot one.
Bobby I have raised chickens in the past. Just a tip to keep the water from freezing. Take a ping pong ball and put it in the water bowl. 3/4 May freeze but where the ball sits won’t and the pigeons will be able to get water!!

hey bobby how do i do a spread with like 3 dozen decoys and make them want to land
we get very few snows here, but when everybody else is using 10 to 15 dozen deks I go to 2 to 3 dozens full body flocked and shoot from down wind of the kill hole.
Hey Bobby I was thinking a really cool challenge would be a goose with your .410 gauge. You made it look easy with the .20 so why not give it a shot?

Yes Yes vid on in the deks. in the snow I used the Christmas spray on flocking on my blind it was a no go til I took it back to the trukl, I turned around and the honkers landed. We had the blinds partialy buried in a manure pile on the farm. ?????

How do you set up to lay in the spread with full bodies and flags. About half and half. For hookers. Depending on ground condition we lay in Black or camo or white. Hunt mostly corn fields up here in MN.

Hey Bob! I had a question for you! Where I’m hunting there are several thousand geese in two different roost that I can’t hunt. But I’m having trouble patterning the geese. It seems that in the morning and the evening they all scatter and don’t feed at a consistent time or place. I was wondering what you would do in this situation

I have one too and was using a carlsons from the beginning. But switched back to factory mod and was actually doing better.
Carlson mid range choke is trash out of my Affinity.Factory mod was ok but it really loved the Carlson long range choke.I patterned them all

I agree. We neutered ours and he still has lots of drive. Only problem I see is Fred is already running for the ladies. Once they start it can be hard to break.
